| 18. The Discharge Chronicles: The Deep Cuts–When the Swab Lies | 19 Nov 2025 | 00:35:41 | |
Ever had your vagina scream "something is WRONG," but every swab, test, and lab slip smugly insists you're "negative"? In this episode of Labia Logic, Dr. Ashley Fuller and Dr. Meredith McClure walk listeners through the maddening medical mystery of symptoms that don't match the swab, and the uncomfortable truth that sometimes your vagina knows more than the lab. If you've ever wondered why a test can lie while your vulva is very much telling an uncomfortable truth, welcome. Pull up a chair (preferably not the one with the crunchy paper). In the Deep Cuts installment of The Discharge Chronicles, Ashley and Meredith explain the rare, weird, and wildly misunderstood conditions that fall outside "yeast, BV, or trich." They tell you how these tricky diagnoses present, how they differ, and why they so often get missed. A few big takeaways:

| 17. The Discharge Chronicles: The Usual Suspects | 05 Nov 2025 | 00:38:11 | |
Ever wondered why that mysterious discharge keeps showing up like an uninvited guest? Or why your yeast infection seems to have more comebacks than a '90s boy band? In this laugh-out-loud yet educational episode of Labia Logic, Dr. Ashley Fuller and Dr. Meredith McClure dive deep into the underworld of vaginitis, the usual suspects of yeast and bacterial vaginosis (BV). From "cottage cheese discharge" to the "fishy" aroma of BV, Ashley and Meredith explain the symptoms, causes, and most common misunderstandings about vaginal health. They share the not-so-sexy truth about what's happening when your microbiome is off-balance, why treating without testing can make things worse, and how certain meds (looking at you, Jardiance) can turn your vagina into a yeast playground. | 15. 50 Shades of Nay: Libido and the Vulva | 08 Oct 2025 | 00:42:11
Feeling like your libido packed up and left without leaving a note? You're not alone. In this hilarious and honest episode of Labia Logic, Dr. Ashley Fuller and Dr. Meredith McClure pull back the covers on one of the most common yet least-discussed topics in women's health: low libido. From the stress of midlife chaos to the reality that pain and fatigue are major turn-offs, our favorite vulva experts unpack the messy, multifaceted world of sexual desire. Good (bad?) news, a glass of wine is not the answer. You'll get a true education on the biopsychosocial model of libido. Translation: it's complicated! They explore how hormones, mental load, relationships, and even the state of your kitchen can all hit the brakes on desire. You'll also hear why the linear "get turned on, have sex, orgasm" model is outdated, and how a more circular, responsive view of desire fits real life (especially if sleep is currently sexier than your partner). Drs. Fuller and McClure also cover the surprisingly empowering world of erotica apps, sex scheduling, and FDA-approved libido meds. Moral of the story: you're not broken. You're complex, human, and deserving of satisfaction. Resources Mentioned: Come As You Are by Emily Nagoski You Are Not Broken by Kelly Casperson

| 14. When Your Clit Throws a Fit: Understanding Clitoral Pain | 24 Sep 2025 | 00:53:42 | |
Ever wondered what happens when your clit throws a fit? Really, it's not as fun as it sounds. In this episode of Labia Logic, Drs. Ashley Fuller and Meredith McClure are joined by vulvar specialist Dr. Jill Krapf to talk about the mysterious, often-ignored world of clitoral pain. From awkward anatomy lessons in med school to why no one seems to look at the clitoris during exams, we're pulling back the hood, literally and figuratively. Dr. Krapf walks us through the two main culprits of clitoral pain: structural issues like adhesions and nerve-related drama. She explains why some people can't stand the seam of their jeans brushing "down there," why others can't find their clitoris anymore, and how keratin pearls (yes, pearls) might be the villains causing sand-in-your-eye-level discomfort. Equal parts science and sass, the conversation makes it clear: this is a real medical issue, not something to just grit your teeth through. If your clit is cranky, you deserve answers, not eye-rolls. This topic definitely got skipped in sex-ed class, so make sure you share with anyone who needs a little Labia Logic in their life! More about our guest: Dr. Jill Krapf is a board-certified Obstetrician Gynecologist specializing in female sexual pain disorders at The Center for Vulvovaginal Disorders Florida in Tampa. She is a co-author of the book When Sex Hurts: Understanding and Healing Pelvic Pain. | 13. Clitoracy 101: Getting to Know the MVP of the Vulva | 10 Sep 2025 | 00:27:30
The clitoris: tiny but mighty, misunderstood but magnificent. She's really the MVP of the vulva, so let's get to know her a little bit! In this episode of Labia Logic, Dr. Ashley Fuller and Dr. Meredith McClure shine the spotlight on the clitoris, the organ that somehow managed to dodge serious medical attention until the early 2000s. Yes, you read that right: we mapped the moon before we mapped the clitoris. Let that sink in. Ashley and Meredith break down why the clitoris has been overlooked in medical training, sex education, and even at the gynecologist's office. C'mon, Docs, it's not that hard to find! They cover its full anatomy, from the visible tip to the hidden structures that wrap around the vagina, and why it deserves the same respect as, say, its male counterpart. Listeners will walk away knowing why examining the clitoris matters, how Hollywood has been lying about orgasms, and why vibrators deserve a standing ovation. You'll learn about clitoral adhesions, nerve endings galore (more than a cow, actually), and the importance of getting a mirror and saying hello to your own anatomy. It's the sex ed you should have gotten in the first place! Resources Mentioned:

Ever feel like your vulva didn't get the memo that sex is supposed to be enjoyable? You're not alone—and you're not imagining things. In this episode of Labia Logic, the doctors shine a (speculum-free) spotlight on vestibulodynia—a condition that sounds like a Harry Potter spell but is actually a very real and very painful cause of sex that feels more "ouch" than "ooh." Dr. Ashley Fuller and Dr. Meredith McClure are back for part 2 of their Painful Sex series. This part covers what vestibulodynia actually is and explains why the vestibule is the unsung hero (or villain) of vaginal anatomy. The docs also take us through how nerves, hormones, and your brain team up to make things uncomfortable—sometimes for years—if left undiagnosed. From practical treatment options like topical creams and pelvic floor physical therapy, to mental health support and even surgery, the docs cover the full range of solutions with zero shame and lots of smarts. You'll walk away with a deeper understanding of your anatomy, a newfound respect for your nerve endings, and maybe even a better vocabulary for talking about your pain. And have you felt personally victimized by spandex leggings or a rogue swimsuit seam? Ready for round two of the "Vulva Glow-Up" month? Buckle up, baby! Today we're wading straight into the glittery marketing swamp of vaginal rejuvenation, where promises and pseudoscience hold hands and sprint into your wallet. Think: lasers to red-light gadgets to things being injected where things should never be injected. This episode of Labia Logic is your myth-busting roadmap so you don't accidentally sign up for a $3,000 "collagen-communication cellular moonbeam therapy" appointment in someone's wellness spa next to a salt lamp. Now, are there real reasons people look for help with dryness, pain with sex, urinary symptoms, or changes after birth, hormones, or menopause? Yes. Are there actual evidence-based treatments? Also yes. But somewhere between legitimate medical care and "crystal womb steam detox pearls," things went off the rails. Dr. Ashley Fuller and Dr. Meredith McClure walk through everything being marketed as a vaginal glow-up, and help listeners separate helpful tools from expensive nonsense backed only by vibes and Instagram stories. Your vagina doesn't need to be "reborn," "reactivated," or "youth-ified." She's already magnificent. | 22. Labia Logic Goes to O-School | 14 Jan 2026 | 00:32:55
In this episode of Labia Logic, Dr. Ashley Fuller and Dr. Meredith McClure are kicking off January by diving headfirst into orgasms, because women's sexual pleasure still doesn't get nearly enough airtime. From awkward silence to Hollywood myths, they ask the big questions we're all thinking: Why don't we talk about this more? Who do you even ask when something isn't working? And why did no one cover this in OB-GYN residency? The good news: if orgasms are elusive, you're not broken, and you're definitely not alone. This episode covers what orgasms actually are: a full-body, full-brain event involving nerves, blood flow, hormones, pelvic floor muscles, and neurotransmitters. Oh and yes, the brain! The biggest sex organ of all. Ashley and Meredith are talking about common myths like penetration-only orgasms, explaining the infamous orgasm gap, and calling out pop culture for setting wildly unrealistic expectations. They even explain why faking orgasms happens, how it backfires, and why pleasure ≠ performance. This episode lays the groundwork for how to troubleshoot, optimize, and reclaim pleasure. Everyone deserves a sex life that's satisfying, shame-free, and actually enjoyable. Homework encouraged. What even is the vestibule, why does nobody talk about it, and how many people are out here being told their vulvar pain is "just in their head"? On this episode of Labia Logic, Dr. Rachel Rubin joins Dr. Ashley Fuller and Dr. Meredith McClure for a no-filter conversation about hormones, painful sex, vaginal estrogen, menopause care, and the body parts that deserve way better PR. They can't say it enough — the vulva is not just "the vagina," and yes, that matters. Dr. Rubin brings her signature mix of evidence, rage, humor, and big urology energy to the conversation, breaking down why sexual medicine and vulvar health are still so misunderstood in mainstream medicine. These three Docs talk about genitourinary syndrome of menopause, vaginal estrogen, hormone therapy, recurrent UTIs, pelvic pain, vestibulodynia, birth control-related sexual side effects, and why so many clinicians are still missing basic, treatable causes of pain with sex. They also discuss the importance of shared decision-making, informed consent, and actually listening to patients instead of sending them home with yet another shrug. Listeners will learn why vaginal hormones can be life-changing, how the vestibule can be a major source of pain and urinary symptoms, and why better education for both patients and clinicians is urgently needed. About Our Guest: Dr. Rachel Rubin is a board-certified urologist and nationally recognized leader in sexual medicine. She is the founder of a patient-centered sexual health practice in Washington, D.C., and Los Angeles; an assistant clinical professor of urology at Georgetown University and a former director-at-large for the International Society for the Study of Women's Sexual Health. She is also the founder of SMRT [pronounced SMART] — the Sexual Medicine Research Team, which is pioneering new research and developing the next generation of clinician-researchers. Dr. Rubin is known for her evidence-based, practical approach to sexual health and her commitment to educating clinicians across disciplines. | 34. Let Me Tell You What I Want, What I Really Really Want: The Sex Communication Survival Guide | 24 Jun 2026 | 00:48:23
Can sex still feel good when pain, aging, chronic illness, or life changes get in the way? What does a sex counselor actually do? And how do you tell your partner that what used to work… doesn't quite work anymore, without making everyone want to crawl under the bed and hide? Sexologist Dr. Heather Howard joins Drs Ashley & Meredith on this episode of Labia Logic to explain how she helps people have more comfortable, connected, and realistic conversations about sex. Dr. Howard explains what sexology and sexuality counseling really look like, especially for people navigating pelvic pain, chronic health conditions, desire differences, cancer, orthopedic issues, Peyronie's disease, aging bodies, and the very common "my libido has left the chat" experience. She also shares her Ergo Erotics Process, which helps individuals and couples rethink intimacy through comfort, creativity, positioning, movement strategies, and communication instead of assuming sex has to follow one very narrow script. There are no "shoulds" in sex, the brain is absolutely part of the sexual response, and pain, low desire, and physical limitations do not mean anyone is broken. This conversation covers how to start hard conversations with a partner, why planning ahead can make sex feel safer, how to create boundaries before things escalate, and why a satisfying sex life often requires a team approach. As these Doctors always say, vulva is a team sport, and sometimes the most intimate thing you can do is stop pretending the old script still fits. About Our Guest: Dr. Heather Howard is a sexuality counselor and financial coach who helps individuals and couples navigate challenges at the intersection of intimacy, health, and money. She holds a PhD in Human Sexuality and an MBA in Finance and Accounting, and is the founder of the Center for Sexual Health and Rehabilitation. She has served as faculty for Stanford School of Medicine and the California Institute of Integral Studies Human Sexuality programs. Her work supports clients experiencing sexual concerns related to chronic health conditions, pelvic pain, trauma, life transitions, and relationship stress. She also helps patients address financial stress that contributes to anxiety, relationship conflict, and avoidance of medical or sexual care. Through education, practical skill-building, andvalues-aligned financial systems, she helps clients reduce shame, improve communication around sensitive topics, and build healthier patterns that support emotional intimacy, sexual well-being, and greater relational vitality.

| 26. Orgasm Deep Dive: Why Getting There Isn't Always Easy Part 1 | 11 Mar 2026 | 00:34:20 | |
Picture this: you're doing all the right things, the mood is right, the body is there… and yet pleasure has quietly left the building.Your orgasm has ghosted you! In part one of an Orgasm Deep Dive on Labia Logic, Drs. Ashley Fuller and Meredith McClure are talking all about the very real experience of orgasm going AWOL. They have Dr. Irwin Goldstein as a guest expert to tell us why orgasm problems are almost never "just in your head" or "just hormonal" or "just pelvic." Ashley, Meredith, and Irwin cover the five regions involved in orgasm and explain the orgasm dysfunction categories. This conversation reframes orgasm as a full-body, full-system event, and explains why missing pleasure deserves real medical curiosity, not a shrug. Links: About our Guest: Dr. Goldstein has been involved with sexual dysfunction research since the late 1970s. He has authored more than 380 publications as well as multiple book chapters and edited seven textbooks in the field. His interests include surgery for dyspareunia, sexual health management post cancer treatment, persistent genital arousal disorder/genito-pelvic dysesthesia, physiologic investigation of sexual function, and diagnosis and treatment of sexual dysfunction in all genders. Dr. Goldstein is Director of Sexual Medicine at University of California San Diego East Campus, and sees patients in his private practice, San Diego Sexual Medicine. He is a Clinical Professor of Urology and Voluntary Clinical Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology, & Reproductive Sciences at University of California San Diego. | 25. Live From ISSWSH: WE Believe YOU! Let's Talk Medical Gaslighting | 25 Feb 2026 | 00:18:54
If you've ever left an appointment thinking, "Wait…is this all in my head?" then this episode of Labia Logic is your group chat in podcast form. Recorded from a hotel room bed (strictly for lighting reasons), Dr. Ashley Fuller and Dr. Meredith McClure are on the topic of the all-too-common experience of medical gaslighting and why feeling dismissed is way more common than it should be. Ashley and Meredith are broadcasting from the International Society for the Study of Women's Sexual Health (ISSWSH) conference, and the conversation reveals how clinicians learn, collaborate, and (sometimes) unlearn outdated ideas. They are (un)covering it all: vulvar pain, hormones, and libido. Ashley and Meredith emphasize that lack of education, not lack of symptoms, often leads to dismissive care. And they're explaining why a multidisciplinary, whole-person approach is changing the game. Know this: your symptoms are real, patient autonomy matters, and "just relax and have a glass of wine" is not a treatment plan. WE believe YOU! | 24. Herpes Happens | 11 Feb 2026 | 00:34:12
Herpes. Yep. We said it out loud. A word that can trigger panic, shame spirals, and frantic Googling… but what if we told you it's also extremely common, very misunderstood, and not the relationship-ending disaster pop culture makes it out to be? In this episode of Labia Logic, Dr. Ashley Fuller and Dr. Meredith McClure tell us why herpes happens. And also why it should come with way less stigma than it does. Ashley and Meredith explain the difference between HSV-1 and HSV-2, how transmission actually works, and why routine herpes screening isn't recommended, even when you're begging your doctor to "test me for everything." You'll learn how herpes is diagnosed correctly, why antivirals like valacyclovir are effective and low-drama, how to reduce outbreaks and transmission, and what to know about dating, disclosure, pregnancy, and newborn safety. Herpes is manageable, common, and absolutely not a moral failing—just a skin virus with a wildly overinflated reputation. From myths to medicine, this episode delivers relief, realism, and a much-needed dose of Labia Logic. | 23. Good Vibrations. A Beginner's Guide to a Buzztastic O | 28 Jan 2026 | 00:37:59
Ever wondered if a vibrator could be your new favorite wellness tool? And which one is the "right" one anyway? In this episode of Labia Logic Dr. Meredith McClure and Dr. Ashley Fuller dive headfirst into the world of pleasure with zero shame, lots of laughs, and a reminder that orgasm is a learned skill, not a magic trick you missed in sex ed. The hosts welcome Elizabeth Leister of Vitality Within, a sexual wellness coach who helps women navigate vibrators, tools, and sexual pleasure with clarity and compassion. Together, they explain why sexual health is health, how pleasure connects to blood flow, hormones, menopause, postpartum changes, and long-term relationships, and why using tools isn't "cheating," it's teamwork. From beginner-friendly vibes to suction tech, rabbits, rings, and the legendary wand, they explain what's out there and who each option might help. Bottom line? Pleasure should be playful, empowering, and fun. Whether you're flying solo, spicing up date night, or just curious, this episode proves that good vibrations really are good medicine. About our Guest: Elizabeth Leister: I began my career as a teacher. At the same time, I was coaching girls in Junior OlympicVolleyball clubs. I moved on from teaching and transitioned into specialty pharmaceutical sales. I continued coaching for many years. After my second child was born, I spent 14 years at home as a stay-at-home mom, where my knowledge and passion for all things fitness and nutrition grew and developed. In this time, I was able to educate and coach many women in nutrition and fitness. After recognizing an unmet need in women's health around sexual wellness, I started Vitality Within to help fill this gap, while at the same time keeping the conversation around nutrition and fitness all tied into sexual health. | 33. Who Taught You That?! Sex, Culture, and the Stories We Tell featuring Gynogirl | 10 Jun 2026 | 00:31:47
What happens when culture, religion, shame, and a medical system that loves to say "it's all in your head" collide with sexual health? Dr. Sameena Rahman, the GynoGirl, joins Drs. Ashley Fuller and Meredith McClure for this episode of Labia Logic. These three docs get into the big stuff: pelvic pain, vulvar conditions, vaginismus, period shame, sexual dysfunction, and the very real ways women, especially women of color, are dismissed when they try to get help. They also talk about Dr. Rahman's upcoming book Brown Girls' Disease: A Guide to Sexual Health and Empowerment Through a South Asian Lens, and unpack how cultural expectations, medical bias, religious messaging, and shame can shape the way patients experience their bodies and seek care. Their conversation also covers why clinicians need to listen to the whole story, how vulvar disease can look different across skin tones, and why "just try harder" is not, in fact, a treatment plan. So yes, we're talking about vaginas, vulvas, bias, and Barbie movie pearl-clutching. As one does. Most importantly, this episode is a reminder that your body is not shameful, your pain is not imaginary, and saying the word "vagina" in public will not cause the earth to split open. Probably. | 32. Vein, Vein, Go Away: The Pelvis Has a Plumbing Problem | 27 May 2026 | 00:46:39
Pelvic pain that feels heavy, achy, bloated, or mysteriously worse by the end of the day? Pain after sex that lingers? Vulvar varicose veins, bladder urgency, or "everything looks normal" test results that definitely do not feel normal? Dr. Julie Baron joins this episode of Labia Logic to get into pelvic venous congestion — also called pelvic venous disorders — and why this often-overlooked cause of chronic pelvic pain deserves a much bigger seat at the exam-room table. Julie shares her own experience with years of unexplained pelvic and abdominal pain, how she finally found answers through vascular imaging, and why pelvic venous disorders can overlap with symptoms like bloating, urinary urgency, painful sex, vulvar discomfort, hemorrhoids, varicose veins, POTS, EDS, MCAS, and more. In other words: the pelvis is not a simple neighborhood, and the veins may be causing more drama than anyone realized. Listeners will learn the classic signs of venous pelvic pain, why standard imaging can miss the bigger picture, and why "just do Kegels" is not the answer here. The conversation also covers treatment options, vascular referrals, stents, embolization, and why finding the right provider matters. Most importantly, this episode offers validation for anyone who has been told their pain is incidental, imaginary, or "just motherhood." Your body is not being dramatic. It may just need someone willing to look at the whole picture. Links:
About Our Guest: Dr. Julie Baron is a pelvic floor and orthopedic physical therapist and the Director of the Pelvic Health & Performance Center in Bellevue, Washington. Dr. Baron holds a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Rutgers University and brings 17 years of clinical experience to her work. She has advanced training in pelvic floor rehabilitation, prenatal and postpartum care, strength and conditioning, and complex orthopedic conditions. Her clinical work is grounded in a holistic, whole-person approach to pelvic health. She is internationally recognized for her work advancing awareness and clinical understanding of Pelvic Venous Disorders (PeVD). Dr. Baron lectures widely to physical therapists and healthcare providers, presenting at major international conferences and educational events. Her work is also being incorporated into the continuing education curriculum for pelvic health clinicians through Herman & Wallace, helping expand education on vascular contributions to pelvic pain for providers across the field. Her professional focus is informed not only by her extensive clinical experience, but also by her own journey navigating chronic pelvic pain and PeVD—an experience that continues to shape her patient-centered approach and her commitment to education, research, and advocacy. | 31. Lady Parts, Painful Sex, and the Vulva Story We Should've Heard Sooner | 13 May 2026 | 00:50:50
What if painful sex, tampon pain, or that "something is wrong down there" feeling was not something to quietly tolerate, joke away, or fix with the world's least helpful advice: "just have a glass of wine"? In this episode of Labia Logic, Dr. Ashley Fuller and Dr. Meredith McClure welcome filmmaker and storyteller Bonnie Gross, creator of Lady Parts, a comedy feature inspired by her own experience with vestibulodynia, painful sex, repeated misdiagnoses, and eventually a vestibulectomy. They talk about why vulvar pain is so often misunderstood, why vulvodynia is sometimes more of a starting point than a full answer, and how conditions like recurrent yeast infections and pelvic floor dysfunction can overlap. They also explain why doctors really need to learn the word vulva before your feet go up and they go poking around with a speculum. Vulvar pain deserves real medical attention, a painful exam should never be brushed off, and patients should trust themselves when something feels wrong. These are facts. Non-negotiables. You deserve answers, care, and pleasure without pain. Period. Links: letterboxd.com/film/lady-parts-2024/ rottentomatoes.com/m/lady_parts @ladypartsthemovie on Facebook
About Our Guest: Originally from Philadelphia and now based in New York City, Bonnie earned her B.A. in Media Production from the University of Alabama and completed the UCLA Professional Program in TV Comedy Writing in 2018. | 30. Vulvar Pain Is Not "All in Your Head"… But Your Brain Is Definitely Involved | 06 May 2026 | 00:50:08
Have you ever asked about your vulvar pain and been told… "it's normal," "it's stress," or the deeply unhelpful classic, "just relax"? In this episode, Labia Logic Dr. Adriana Martí joins the conversation to get into the very real, very frustrating world of chronic vulvar pain. Dr. Marti is a clinical health psychologist and she joins Dr. Ashely Fuller and Dr. Meredith McClure to share why treating chronic vulvar pain usually takes more than one magic pill, one procedure, or one awkward appointment where everyone avoids saying the word vulva. They discuss why chronic pain is different from acute pain, how the brain and nervous system can amplify pain signals, why catastrophizing is not a character flaw, and how stress, trauma, loneliness, relationships, and self-criticism can all turn the pain volume way up. This episode covers how pain education, cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, pain reprocessing, and a biopsychosocial approach can help people relate to pain differently and reclaim more of their lives. We're here to offer validation, practical hope, and the much-needed reminder that chronic vulvar pain is complex, treatable, and deserving of care that sees the whole person, not just the body part causing the drama. About our Guest: Dr. Martí has used her bilingual and bicultural assets to positively influence various medical settings, program development, management, underserved populations, and has mentored a myriad of students and medical personnel on the value of mind body approaches. Dr. Martí is very passionate about making a difference in the community and spends her free time learning about the latest advances in the field of chronic pain and contributing to research. | 29. Slang, Sex, and the Female Body | 22 Apr 2026 | 00:26:45
Why do we have a hundred nicknames for the vulva, but half of them feel weird, cringey, or downright insulting? Where did these words even come from? And why do so many of them turn into insults? In this episode of Labia Logic, Dr. Ashley Fuller and Dr. Meredith McClure dig into the messy, fascinating, and sometimes uncomfortable world of sex slang. Brace yourself because nothing is off the table. Inspired in part by recent social media, they explore how language shapes stigma, why so many slang terms for women's bodies skew negative, and how even "funny" words can carry harmful undertones. Along the way, they pull from a massive historical slang dictionary, share surprising origins, and call out the cultural patterns that keep shame alive. Words matter. Your body is not the punchline. So let's reframe the conversation around vulvar anatomy with confidence instead of embarrassment. Doesn't that sound cliterific? Links:

| 29. Queefs, Squirts, Clit Bling & More | 08 Apr 2026 | 00:14:48 | |
Ever wondered if squirting is something you're supposed to "achieve"? Have you panicked over a rogue queef at the worst possible moment? What about briefly considered a little… clit bling? This episode of Labia Logic gets right in there with all the pop culture noise surrounding vulvas. Expectations are loud, information is questionable, and Google is not always your friend. Dr. Ashley Fuller and Dr. Meredith McClure are myth-busting the squirts, the queefs, and the piercings. They also talk about common misconceptions, from toilet seat paranoia to the idea that bodies should look, smell, or perform a certain way. All their info is grounded in anatomy, science, and real-life patient conversations. Takeaway? Your body isn't broken. It's just not a TikTok highlight reel. Squirting is optional, not a gold medal event; queefs are normal and sometimes just… comedic timing; and clitoral piercings come with more risk than reward. No shame. No stigma. They've got solid info and a reminder that normal spans a very wide range.

So you've climbed the mountain… but something still isn't quite right. Maybe it takes forever to get there, maybe the fireworks are more like a sparkler, or maybe your brain suddenly decides it's time to think about laundry. This episode of Labia Logic is part 2 of our Orgasm Deep Dive with guest expert Dr. Irwin Goldstein. Dr. Ashley Fuller and Dr. Meredith McClure continue to explain why orgasm isn't always straightforward, and why the answer is often way more complicated than "just relax." During part 2, you'll learn why delayed or muted orgasms are especially common during perimenopause and menopause, how hormones like estrogen and testosterone can influence sensitivity and pleasure, and why some people may need to treat pain, nerve sensitivity, or brain chemistry before things improve. It's nerdy. It's science-heavy. And yes, it includes discussions about espresso, dopamine, and why orgasm might be one of the most fascinating full-body processes we have. Links:

| 36. Dare to Care: The Future of Women's Sexual Health | 22 Jul 2026 | 00:46:45 | |
Why do men get decades of sexual-health innovation while women are still told to wait, cope, or buy something vaguely "wellness-adjacent" from their social media feed? And why are conditions that affect quality of life, relationships, pleasure, and reproductive health still treated like optional extras instead of actual healthcare? Sabrina Martucci Johnson, founder and CEO of Daré Bioscience, joins this episode of Labia Logic to talk about the costly, complicated, and long-overdue work of developing better treatments for women. Sabrina explains why she founded Daré, how women's health receives only a fraction of private healthcare investment, and why existing science can often be reformulated into solutions designed specifically for female bodies. Sabrina also shares what Daré is developing next, including a monthly vaginal ring for menopause hormone therapy, a hormone-free contraceptive, and a vaginal antiviral treatment for high-risk HPV. Because women's health is not niche. It is essential, overdue, and worth doing right. Links: darebioscience.com Instagram @darebioscience TikTok @sabrinadareceo LinkedIn @sabrina-martucci-johnson
About Our Guest: Sabrina Martucci Johnson doesn't just talk about the gap in women's health – she's working to close it. In 2015 she founded Daré Bioscience on a straightforward thesis: the science exists, the need is real, and the market is massive. What's been missing is execution. Under her leadership, Daré has built a pipeline of first-in-category product candidates spanning contraception, sexual health, menopause, vaginal health, and infectious disease, and is now bringing them to market. Sabrina's edge is the combination of scientific credibility and commercial discipline. She started as a research scientist at Baxter Healthcare, moved through commercial and financial leadership at Cypress Bioscience (NASDAQ:CYPB) and WomanCare Global (as both CFO and COO), and built Daré from the ground up. She understands the biology, controls the financials, and knows how to launch. That trifecta is uncommon in any CEO. In women's health, it's nearly singular. She holds degrees in Biomedical Engineering (Tulane), Biochemical Engineering (University College London), and International Management (Thunderbird). She serves on the boards of AtaiBeckley, Biocom California (as chair), and BIO. Her work has been recognized by Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year (Pacific Southwest), Fierce Pharma's Most Influential People in Biopharma, the Medicine Maker Power List, and Endpoints Women in Biopharma. Women's health has been underfunded, understudied, and underestimated for decades. Sabrina Martucci Johnson is doing something about it.
