Kinross Raises Shareholder Returns as Cash Flow Builds | Paul Rollinson

Paul Rollinson, President and CEO of Kinross Gold, joins Kitco Mining’s Paul Harris at the 2026 Mining Forum Americas in Colorado Springs to discuss the company’s recent production guidance trim, higher shareholder returns, and the organic growth pipeline it expects to drive stronger margins and cash flow per share.

Rollinson says extreme weather and higher-than-expected copper at La Coipa weighed on near-term production, but the copper also points to potential porphyry exploration upside across the Maricunga district. He says Kinross remains comfortable with its internal growth base, with about 20 million ounces of gold reserves and roughly 40 million ounces of additional measured, indicated and inferred resources.

He also discusses the permitting path at Great Bear, where Kinross is targeting early works in 2027 and first gold in 2029, and why 2028 could mark a broader grade and margin improvement across Tasiast, Round Mountain and Curlew. Rollinson explains why Kinross increased its 2026 capital-return target from 40% to 50% of free cash flow while continuing to fund its development pipeline and maintain a strong net-cash position.

Willem Middelkoop, Founder & CEO of Commodity Discovery Fund, joins Kitco Mining’s Paul Harris at the 2026 Precious Metals Summit in Beaver Creek to explain why stronger financing and higher metals prices are still not producing enough major new discoveries.

Middelkoop says the industry is seeing “the start of a new bull market,” with more capital entering the junior space and more drills turning. But he says Tier 1 and Tier 2 discoveries remain scarce, arguing that “most of the best projects have been sold already.” He points to majors taking strategic positions in juniors as they compete for early access to new projects, while remaining doubtful that this will translate into a major M&A wave.

He also explains why Commodity Discovery Fund has become increasingly selective, how it balances juniors, producers and cash, and why precious-metals producers currently have a “license to print money.” Middelkoop expects gold to move toward $5,000 and silver to at least $100 per ounce, while warning that rising interest rates could trigger a larger correction or even “the start of a new financial crisis.”

New Pacific Advances Two Silver Projects as Bolivia Opens Up | Jalen Yuan

Jalen Yuan, CEO of New Pacific Metals, joins Kitco Mining’s Paul Harris at the 2026 Precious Metals Summit in Beaver Creek to discuss how Bolivia’s changing mining and investment framework could affect the company’s two permitting-stage precious-metals projects, Silver Sand and Carangas.

At Carangas, New Pacific signed its Administrative Mining Contracts in August and launched a 30,000-meter drill program following an updated PEA that increased post-tax NPV to $2.65 billion, from about $500 million in the previous study, while initial CapEx rose to roughly $645 million. Yuan says the project is moving through legislative approval, with environmental permitting to follow after securing community support earlier this year.

Silver Sand is advancing on a parallel track toward feasibility and its own community agreements. Yuan says New Pacific is “not picking one over the other,” with permitting progress likely to determine which project moves first. He also discusses financing, strategic shareholders Silvercorp Metals and Pan American Silver, and outside M&A interest, while saying the company’s preference remains to build the mines itself.

Agnico Eagle Targets Up to 1.5M Ounces of New Production | Ammar Al-Joundi

Ammar Al-Joundi, President and CEO of Agnico Eagle Mines, joins Kitco Mining’s Paul Harris at the 2026 Mining Forum Americas in Colorado Springs to explain why the company is focused on growing from within as consolidation speculation builds across the gold sector.

Al-Joundi says Agnico expects to add between 1.3 million and 1.5 million ounces of annual production over the next five to 10 years, largely from assets it already owns. Growth at Detour Lake and Canadian Malartic, alongside Hope Bay and Upper Beaver, could lift production by roughly 20% to 30%, with Al-Joundi stressing that increasing production per share remains the key objective.

He also discusses Hope Bay’s approximately $2.4 billion initial capital estimate and Agnico’s strengthened balance sheet after returning $1 billion to shareholders in the first half of 2026. Al-Joundi says future cash returns could be “considerably more,” while strategic investments in junior miners provide “optionality” to increase exposure as projects succeed.

Greenheart Gold Begins Drilling Its Top Suriname Target | Justin van der Toorn

Greenheart Gold President and CEO Justin van der Toorn joins Kitco Mining’s Paul Harris for Kitco Spotlight at the 2026 Precious Metals Summit in Beaver Creek as the company drills its highest-priority exploration target at Tosso Creek in Suriname.

Greenheart began an initial 2,000-meter diamond drill program at Tosso Creek in August following trench results including 56.0 meters grading 0.97 g/t gold at Swalanga and 7.0 meters grading 4.57 g/t gold at Walaba. Van der Toorn says Tosso Creek now needs to demonstrate “multi-million-ounce potential,” with the first drilling designed to test continuity, structural controls and higher-grade zones before Greenheart decides whether to expand the program.

Van der Toorn also explains how the team is applying its experience from Reunion Gold and the Oko West discovery across the Guiana Shield. He says Greenheart’s roughly C$75 million cash position gives the company flexibility to accelerate successful projects while walking away from those that fail to show sufficient scale, as it continues building a broader pipeline across Suriname and Guyana.

The Bond Market Is Sending a Warning | Grant Williams

Grant Williams, author and host of the Grant Williams Podcast, joins Kitco Mining’s Paul Harris at the 2026 Precious Metals Summit in Beaver Creek to explain why he believes “the bond market is where people should be looking” as rising yields increase borrowing costs and expose stress across the financial system.

Williams argues that governments and central banks are becoming increasingly constrained as higher debt-service costs collide with persistent inflation and growing competition for capital. He also lays out his case for a future monetary reset in which gold could return as a stabilizing anchor, arguing that such a shift would not be chosen voluntarily but could ultimately be “forced upon them.”

The discussion also covers declining trust between governments and institutions, Williams’s interpretation of gold repatriation as a signal of that shift, geopolitical and energy risks, and how investors should think about protecting portfolios against extreme events. Gold Stocks May Finally Be Ready to Outperform | John Hathaway

John Hathaway, Managing Partner at Sprott Asset Management, joins Kitco Mining’s Paul Harris at the 2026 Precious Metals Summit in Beaver Creek to discuss why he sees gold as an “all-weather strategy” and why he believes gold equities may be entering a stronger phase.

Hathaway says miners are better managed than they were at the 2011 gold-price peak and more profitable than at any point he has seen since entering the sector in 1998, but argues companies still need to do a better job explaining why investors should own their stocks. He says the “torque” gold equities can provide relative to moves in bullion is starting to play out, while cash-rich producers and what he views as low sector valuations could fuel an M&A wave that he believes is “just around the corner.”

Hathaway also discusses “lazy balance sheets,” why some producers should consider holding bullion, and what could finally bring generalist investors back into gold and mining equities. He says a broader rotation may require investors to lose confidence in bonds and their existing portfolio positioning, while warning that mining inflation could eventually pressure today’s strong margins.
