137. Final Destination (2000)08 Nov 202201:30:27

So you thought you were a big shot and went and outsmarted Death's design? Well, guess what, dipstick? Your goose is cooked! Devon Sawa and his little friends are hunted by DEATH ITSELF in this Glen Morgan and James Wong helmed FINAL DESTINATION! If you wanted to know exactly what it looked like to be in high school in the year 2000, Mike and Eric confirm that this is accurate, minus all the death and dismemberment.

In our final segment we face off in a probably problematic game of plane movie trivia!

136. Maximum Overdrive (1986) 25 Oct 202402:11:51

HAPPY HALLOWEEN! We conclude our 2 months of Stephen King films with the one directed by the man himself: Maximum Overdrive! Boy howdy, this movie is a g'dang mess! But do we think there's some wheat hidden amongst the chaff? Sorry, I was trying to be folksy like Mr. King.

In our final segment we give out some Series Superlatives, rank all of the films we've covered in our Stephen King series, and announce the next series we're covering!

In the 3rd segment we talk about our favorite Stephen King short form literature!

134. Halloween Ends (2022)18 Oct 202201:41:32

Is this the final Halloween film? Almost certainly not, but it probably is the final one from David Gordon Green and Danny McBride. This movie is, quite frankly, dividing the horror movie community. It takes some big swings that, for many, do not connect. How do we fall on the spectrum? The answer may shock you...or maybe not. Maybe you all know us so well that you'll be like "of course that's what these guys think." We have strong opinions on this one!

In our final segment we look back at our Halloween series rankings and figure out where Halloween Ends...and we also take a look back at our Friday the 13th series rankings?

NEXT WEEK WE RETURN TO OUR STEPHEN KING SERIES!

Johnny Smith awakens from a five year coma with the ability to receive psychic visions, including Martin Sheen in crazy striped pajamas! This week we're covering the distinctly non-horror The Dead Zone. Master of body-horror David Cronenberg helms what might be one of the least Cronenbergian movies in his filmography (at least we think. We haven't seen Fast Company). How does the pairing of folksy humanist Stephen King mix with the cold detachment of David Cronenberg? Listen and find out!

Finally, we discuss TV shows that made the jump from the silver screen to the boob tube.

132. Cujo (1983)04 Oct 202201:24:29

131. Creepshow (1982)27 Sep 202201:50:39

Greetings boys and ghouls, and everyone else who doesn't identify as a boy or a ghoul! On this episode we cover the George Romero / Stephen King anthology collabo classic Creepshow! Five chilling EC Comics inspired tales starring a great cast. How does it hold up? How do we rank the individual segments? Listen and find out.

In our final segment, we give our own personal top 5 horror anthology segments! There's some really good stuff out there.

129. Salem's Lot (1979)27 Sep 202201:37:24

Who's that floating out of your window? Better let them in. This week we're talking about Tobe Hooper's adaptation of SALEM'S LOT. How does a 3 hour made for TV miniseries hold up? Fred Willard is in this! That's cool.

Eric, the resident Maine-iac unveils a new feature and in the 3rd segment we introduce a new segment that will follow us through the entirety of Kill Streak.

Okay. I'm pretty tired. I'm going to bed!

130. The Shining (1980)20 Sep 202202:11:07

Bring on the Blowjob Bears! This is the one and only time we'll talk about Stanley Kubrick in any depth, and boy do we go nuts on it! What more can be said about The Shining that hasn't already been said? Well we talk about it for approximately 2 hours or so. We have a lot of thoughts? Do we agree with Stephen King on this one? Listen and find out.

Stay tuned until the end, where we introduce the flip-side of the newly unveiled Murderers' Row...a list of THE WORST MOVIES WE HAVE COVERED. It has a fun name. At least listen to hear the fun name.

128. Carrie (1976)06 Sep 202202:06:05

They're all going to laugh at you! So begins our Stephen King adaptation series that will take us through until Halloween. We're kicking it off with the very first: Carrie! Certainly the only time we will officially be able to talk about a Kill Streak fav director, Brian De Palma. This movie is considered to be a classic. Do we agree? Listen and find out!

In our final segment we each construct our own personal Mount Rushgore of our FAVORITE STEPHEN KING NOVELS!

127. House by the Cemetery (1981)23 Aug 202201:48:51

We conclude the Gates of Hell Trilogy with House by the Cemetery. It's a slow burn sort of haunted house, sort of Frankenstein, sort of slasher. You know what it doesn't have, though? A friggen gate to Hell! Listen to the final segment to hear our final thoughts, superlatives, and the announcement of our next series of movies we're covering! ALSO: We tacked on the series ranking to the very end, so listen through the end theme song!

The 7th entry in the found footage anthology series has dropped on Shudder. This time the stories have a Sci-Fi bent to them, but don't worry...it's still very much a V/H/S film.

125. The Beyond (1981)09 Aug 202201:42:19
Our Gates of Hell series continues. This week we're passing over to THE BEYOND. This Fulci freakshow is weird, gory, and almost doesn't make any sense at all...but is that okay?  In our final segment, The Voice of Kill Streak Mr. Ryan Martin springs an Italian horror themed quiz and it gets quite gory.
124. City of the Living Dead (1980)02 Aug 202201:34:59

We delve into the world of Italian horror with Lucio Fulci's Gates of Hell Trilogy! City of the Living Dead is weird as Hell! Tons of gore, a slapping soundtrack, tons of atmosphere, but do we vibe with this piece of Italian Gothic Horror? Listen and find out.
