In this episode, I recap Mr. Sunshine episodes 9–12 where breakups turn into spy games, flirty threats happen mid-kidnapping, and the entire cast seems one emotional revelation away from either kissing or stabbing each other. Eugene’s trying (and failing) to quit her, Dongmae’s collecting grudges like Pokémon, and Hui-seong is somehow the most charming man alive. We’ve got palanquin drama, rickshaw assassinations, stolen gold, opium-withdrawal interrogations, rooftop chases, and a petty tram-ticket monopoly just for romance.

Eugene’s thirst turns into full-on emotional damage, Dongmae catches feelings and bullets, and Hui-seong keeps smiling through the mess. We’ve got palanquin chases, imperial slush funds, misplaced rifles, and one deeply unqualified girlboss geisha on the run.
