As we embark on a stewardship campaign geared to maximize our building for current and future ministry, we are buoyed by God’s story in this church over the past eighty years. Our church began in 1944 with a group of people who prayed, worked, and believed that God placed them in this city for Kingdom impact. We look forward to seeing how Jesus uses this campaign to grow our faith, reach more people, and see more disciples formed.

Beginning in November 2024, we will seek to raise approximately $2.9 million to make the necessary renovations and improvements to our current building. These renovations are guided by our five strategic directives and designed to help us meet our faith-filled goals.

We are so thrilled to introduce to you, Shaila Visser.
 
Shaila Visser is the National Director of Alpha Canada and the Global Senior Vice-President for Alpha International. She is the Executive Producer of both The Alpha Youth Film Series (2013) and The Alpha Film Series (2016), and currently holds positions on the Board of the Damascus Road Foundation and on the Board of Regent College - an International Graduate School in Vancouver. 

Shaila has a heart for people coming to know Jesus and is passionate about helping the local church flourish. She is a gifted communicator who is known for her strategic leadership as well as her ability to bring people together. Shaila is recognized as one of the Top 100 Most Influential Christian Women in Canada. Shaila lives in Vancouver BC with her husband, Ryan Visser, a Vancouver Police Officer, and their four-legged family members, Talon and Benny.
