| Ep 98 - End Of Days by Twiztid | 08 Dec 2024 | 01:12:55 | |
You may remember that Juggalo Judgment had a real short hiatus. A "sneeze and you missed it" kinda situation. Right before then, we covered Twiztid's 2009 album "W.I.C.K.E.D., and Blade learned how good that record was. In support of the album, Twiztid went on the "End Of Days" tour, and in similar fashion to Toxic Terror, had an exclusive EP available at the merch booth. Did Twiztid add more wickedness to the W.I.C.K.E.D. era? Should Prozak stay off of the Internet? Is Boondox a total creep? Find out the answers to these and more as we cover the 1999 Arnold Schwarzenegger film... End Of Days.
| Ep. 97 - The Shining by Violent J | 24 Nov 2024 | 02:02:23 | |
The Shining is a masterpiece. The Jack Nicholson movie, at least. One of his most iconic roles, a story of psychological horror showcasing the gradual mental degradation of people cut off from the rest of society. Also, Shelly Duvall's performance, *chef's kiss*, may she rest in peace.
Anyway, Violent J made a solo album and called it The Shining and it has nothing to do with the movie. Released on his birthday on 2009, he took an album he didn't finish, gave away for free at the 2008 GOTJ, and decided he could make money off of it the following year. Does J come correct with the wicked shit? Does Mike Clark bring back some amazing production? Is Esham on here too much? Find out our answers to these and more today. J said nobody could stop his shine. Find out if he proves it on... The Shining.
| Schmeev’s AXEcellent Adventure - Alla Xul Elu, Necronomichron Vol. 1 | 24 Sep 2023 | 00:31:28 | |
3 episodes in and we're already remaking classic films. Where many would paint this as a group out of ideas, I see it as a group showing bravado and saying "FUCK YOU RAIMI, JUST WAIT TILL WE GET TO SPIDERMAN" Who loves weed? You? You? How about you? Well Alla Xul Elu loves weed. They love weed so much they decided to make an EP about it. It almost feels like you can consider yourself and underground rap artist if you don't, but it DOES help when you have a cool concept around it. Like The Wizard Of Oz or something. I wonder if anyone's done that before... Anyways, A.X.E. took inspiration from Evil Dead and came up with Necronomichron. How does Schmeev handle all this dark and dank goodness? Find out today! | Ep. 58 - Hallowicked Compilation by Insane Clown Posse | 28 Mar 2021 | 01:01:07
We're at the tail-end of March, which means it's OBVIOUSLY time to get in the holiday spirit. Which holiday, you ask? Halloween, bitch! Hallowicked is one of ICP's most important shows of the year, and at every one, a limited single was pressed up exclusively for those who attended. Now, we've heard a couple of these tracks crop up here and there on some prior collections, but in 2005, ICP included a full compilation of all the Hallowicked tracks made up to that point and packaged it with Forgotten Freshness 4. Does this compilation track the evolution of the Wicked Clowns in a concise way? Do ICP grab some big names to hop on the spooky tracks? Does Schmeev find anything appealing about anything aside from "Every Halloween", a stand-out track from FF3? Find out this and more today. Trick or treat, what's in the bag? Hallowicked Compilation.

| Mike Check, Episode 12 - DON'T CALL IT A COMEBACK | 21 Mar 2021 | 00:58:50 | |
HEY EVERYONE! Mike is super sorry that he missed an episode. It was a tragic case of the "fuck everythings" that couldn't be helped, and he's trying to make it right. We got a new episode today, talking about a lot of new music, some new music that HASN'T dropped yet, and a notable release that DIDN'T drop when it was supposed to. | Ep. 57 - Forgotten Freshness Vol. 4 by Insane Clown Posse | 14 Mar 2021 | 01:55:49
Freshness is always fresh. It doesn't matter how new or old it is. If it's fresh, it's fresh. It's for that very reason that Mike, when given the opportunity to grab ANY album of ICP's catalog, he beelined straight to this one. It has nothing to do with the fact that it was 2 discs and only cost him like $13. This album right here is what helped mold Mike into the Juggalo he is today, for better or worse. Does Schmeev think it's any good? Should this HAVE been forgotten? And does MC Breed show up out of nowhere to add even more flavor when no one expected him to? The answers await inside. It was was fresh once, it was fresh twice, it was even fresh three times. But THIS... is Forgotten Freshness, Volume 4.

| Ep. 56 - Pony Down (Prelude) by Drive-By | 28 Feb 2021 | 01:20:29 | |
Blaze and ABK have been collaborating for years, showing up on each other's records, more often than not creating some of the best tracks on their respective albums. Something about a dead gangster and a Native American just clicked, ya know? But there's more to them just dead stuff and Native American stuff, too. Do we ever really find out what it means when they do a full album? Find out for yourself here. Tell Train that this IS a Drive-By, and THIS is... Pony Down. | Ep. 55 - Furious by Soopa Villainz | 14 Feb 2021 | 01:53:38
Wow, you look great tonight. Thanks for letting me take you out to this weird restaurant for Valentine’s Day. Let me order us some Guinnesses and apps while we wait for a table to open up. I’ve heard this place has the best gumbo if you’re into that kind of thing. What do you do for a living? That’s very interesting. Me? I spend most of my days jerking it, speaking of which, can you pay for dinner? Where are you going? This isn’t what you wanted to hear? This isn’t even the right album? What does that mean

| Ep. 54 - Mutant, Vol. 2 by Twiztid | 31 Jan 2021 | 02:05:24 | |
ARE YOU READY TO ROCK? Well in 2005, Twiztid certainly were! Hot off the heels of Man's Myth, Twiztid set to switch up the game and dip their toes into rock music more than they previously had at this point. But alas, we wouldn't get a FULL rock album. Moreso a 5-track demo and 10 regular Twiztid songs. It's not Black Majik, but if you close your eyes and really think about it... It's still no Black Majik. Do Twiztid give us more substance than what we were given on their previous record? Do they crank it up to 11 and belt out some modern rock classics? Did we watch the DVD that came with THIS record, the 4th of Psychopathic's releases in 2005 to do so? Okay, you already know the answer to that one, but the rest will be answered and more here! Just like Jamie Madrox's namesake, this is... Mutant.

| Ep. 53 - GOTJ 2005 EP by Insane Clown Posse | 17 Jan 2021 | 00:35:11 | |
Ah, The Gathering Of The Juggalos. Every Juggalos home away from home. Every single one. Including Mike. He's totally been to every single Gathering that's every happened. And every single Gathering that HASN'T happened. 2020 just had a really, REALLY small set-up which resulted in Mike just sitting in the woods for 4 days with his phone playing Juggalo music loudly. But in 2005, Psychopathic Records decided to do something special and create a CD that was all about GOTJ, but only if you listened to ICP and Blaze's songs. Was this EP worthy of being given out for free? Did Twiztid just toss a B-side from Man's Myth/Mutant on here? Does that interlude get REALLY annoying after every track? Find out this and more today when we cover... (the unofficially named) Gathering Of The Juggalos 2005 EP.

| Schmeev’s AXEcellent Adventure - Alla Xul Elu, Sci Co | 10 Sep 2023 | 01:02:12 | |
Wow I made it a whole 2 albums on my own, can you believe it?? Things are going well as we dive into a bit of an expansion of the Allaverse, meeting some new characters and giving them their own tracks here and there. Alla Xul Elu released their sophomore album, Sci-Co Volume 1, just 8 months after their debut, on October 17, 2015. Where Head of Horns was an introduction to Billy Obey and Joe Black’s aesthetic and sound, Sci-Co Volume 1 was a very experimental album featuring a variety of styles, topics and a number of guest performers. The title, “Sci-Co” comes from Alla Xul Elu’s home in Scioto County, OH. The idea was to include guest appearances from other musicians from the Scioto County area but expanded to include everyone from Dark Half’s Geno Cultshit to Mastamind of Natas. The resulting record is a mix of upbeat party songs, bleak horrorcore, nostalgic odes to childhood in the 1990s and boastful battle raps. | Ep. 52 - Man‘s Myth, Vol. 1 by Twiztid | 03 Jan 2021 | 02:06:08
In 2005, it was about time for Twiztid to release another album. So they released 2! Like, back-to-back. Who the hell does that? So after the massive success of The Green Book, and Monoxide taking some time to flex on his own, Twiztid reunite to flex together and apparently talk about conspiracy theories. Do Twiztid stand out when they get "woke"? Do they rap really really well, but don't really have a direction with said rapping? Is "Story Of Our Lives" one of the most radio-styled songs we've ever come across on this show? The answers will be revealed here. Twiztid aren't talking about urban legends. It's strictly... Man's Myth.

| Ep. 51 - The Calm by Insane Clown Posse | 20 Dec 2020 | 01:12:27 | |
The Joker Cards have come and gone. The saga of the Dark Carnival has ended and would never EVER been touched upon again. Insane Clown Posse have still been around, though. Between guest features and projects like Dark Lotus, Psychopathic was still having a fair share of clown sightings. But they wouldn't just be relegated to sitting back and living off the fruits of their labor. Inspiration would strike, more music must be made to satisfy the Juggalos. But this next project would push them to uncharted territory, doing EVERYTHING by themselves. Could ICP take the knowledge they've gained over the years to make a cohesive album on their own? Does Shaggy 2 Dope get to do more than yell on most of these tracks? And most importantly, does this album deserve all the hate that Juggalos have given it practically since the day it dropped? The answers lie inside. Get ready, because as you know, before the storm, there is... The Calm.

| Ep. 50 - A-1 Yola by Esham | 06 Dec 2020 | 02:30:30 | |
Esham surprised the both of us when we reviewed Repentance. It was a damn solid album when we didn't expect much from it, and it stands out as a pure rap album in Psychopathic's catalog that Juggalos can appreciate. Now we move onto his 2nd album of original material on Psychopathic, an album that Mike has gone on record absolutely despising for the better part of a decade. But hey, this show has caused Mike to find a new appreciation in quite a few albums, so it's bound to happen here, right? Guess we'll find out together! Does Esham still craft some damn good beats? Does he stick almost exclusively to rapping about cocaine? Is "Bolivia" one of the best bops to grace our show in a while? Listen as we answer these questions and then some. Music is drugs for the ears, and Esham is supplying some premium... A-1 Yola.

| Mike Check, Episode 5 - Jokerr Love Fest! | 29 Nov 2020 | 01:19:56 | |
Okay, so the title is mostly misleading; Mike got 11 CD's by The Jokerr and has listened to most of them, so he needs to express his new music man-crush and he has to do it now! But not only that, he talks about FINALLY receiving his Blaze Ya Dead Homie order, as well as give you some info on other new releases (including a group that ain't even Juggalo-related) and even mentions the ICP Patreon streams for December in passing! Now come on, what more could you want?

| Ep. 49 - Road Fools EP by Anybody Killa | 22 Nov 2020 | 01:11:48 | |
We here at Juggalo Judgment have grown fond of ABK. From his guest spots on Blaze's first album to his 2 solo projects and everything in between, the dude is damn solid. So when we see that his next project is an EP, our eyebrows raised? Can Anybody Killa condense an amazing project into half the tracks? Is the tracklist itself wonky as fuck? Was that DVD that was included the greatest piece of cinematic entertainment ever released by Psychopathic Records? The answers to these and more will be revealed here! Pack your bags, fill up the tank, and no shitting on the bus; ABK and his buddies are... Road Fools.

| Mike Check, Episode 4 - Boondox Concert & More! | 15 Nov 2020 | 01:02:29 | |
Back for more with Episode 4! After ranting for 2 hours last ep, Mike needed to chill. He slacked on listening to stuff he said he would listen to, BUT he still checked out some pretty nifty stuff. This time, we hear about a few new projects that dropped, a troubling lack of some stuff that he hasn't received yet, and the Boondox Friday The 13th concert "experience". Just a warning: Mike was getting sleepy as he was recording and starts to lose semblance of sense at once point. See if you can pinpoint where that is!

| Ep. 48 - Master Of The Flying Guillotine by Jumpsteady | 08 Nov 2020 | 01:59:01 | |
Slighty-Less-Violent J is kicking off 2005 with his 1st (and to date, only) LP. Now he gets to flex his lyrical wisdom the only way he knows how: by rapping about nerd stuff and situations he probably would never be in! Does Jumpsteady's lyrical delivery improve over his work on The Chaos Theory? Do the guest features outshine his work on the tracks they show up on? Most importantly, do we get as hype about anything on this record as much as we did for "Ninjas In Action"? You probably already know the answer to that one, but the others will be revealed. Watch out, better duck. You might just get hit from the... Master Of The Flying Guillotine. | Schmeev’s AXEcellent Adventure - Alla Xul Elu, Head Of Horns | 27 Aug 2023 | 00:43:40
In the darkest hour when content is slightly less frequent than usual, one hero arises to drop some some low effort stuff to tide you over until the regular schedule resumes. Schmeev will be taking a jaunt through the works of these AXE guys over the coming however long it takes to get through 7-8 albums! Billy Obey and Joe Black, known collectively as Alla Xul Elu, released their debut album Head Of Horns in 2015 independently on their label Long Live Evil. With dark imagery over boom bap beats, the duo would start a proverbial reign of terror in the midwest, making a name for themselves in the underground. | Ep. 47 - Chainsmoker LP by Monoxide | 25 Oct 2020 | 02:03:02
Smoking, flexing, talking about how you fucked up while not really doing anything to make amends. Those are Monoxide's favorite pastimes. At least, that's what we get when he's separated from his partner in crime, Jamie Madrox. Yes, Monoxide decided that it was time to undertake a massive task, and that's a solo effort for the very first time. Does he rise to the challenge? Do the guest spots outshine? Do we REALLY miss Jamie? Find out the answer to these and more today. And make sure you bring a few packs; you're gonna need them for... Chainsmoker. Did you miss Mike? It's okay, you don't have to answer that. OF COURSE YOU DID! This episode, less talk of CD's Mike got to listen to because he only had 1, but LOTS of chatter about new albums that are coming out and a recap of ICP's seminar from the Patreon streams. | Ep. 46- Colton Grundy: Tha Undying by Blaze Ya Dead Homie | 11 Oct 2020 | 02:18:42
The hood has been quiet for a while. At this point, the stories of a "dead gangster" have faded into rumors, and now people have all but forgotten the deadman with a shotgun. But of course it wouldn't stay that way. After a few stints in some side projects and a short retirement, Blaze Ya Dead Homie makes his return in a big way. With a new alias, the dead-but-not-dead gangster rapper flexes his skills once again on Psychopathic. The usual guests also make their presence known, but do they outshine the man of the hour? Does Blaze improve from his first LP that was released 3 years prior? Does he talk about more than shotguns, hoodrats, and being dead? The answers to these may be answered this episode. Who ya dead who? No, not him. This is... Colton Grundy. Hit us up at JuggaloJudgment@gmail.com, @JuggaloJudgment on Twitter/Instagram, Juggalo Judgment on Facebook, or get at one of us directly on Twitter @MikeSpohnTheSEJ and @Schmeev. | Mike Check, Episode 1 - Something New! | 04 Oct 2020 | 01:02:40
Mike has been getting restless in his apartment during quarantine. With the monotony of the passing weeks, he decided to do something about it. This is a new segment we're gonna do in the off-weeks, solo episodes with Mike to just rant about stuff he wants to talk about! Why? Nobody knows, but it gives you more stuff to listen to from us, so... you're welcome? | Ep. 45 - Hell‘s Pit by Insane Clown Posse | 27 Sep 2020 | 03:42:53
In November of 2002, ICP released the most important album of their career, the culmination of 6 Joker Cards. To some, this was everything they could want and more. To others, maybe it just wasn't wicked enough. But there's 2 sides to every coin. Not everything can be bright, shiny, and full of diamond rain. Sometimes, things are just plain bad, depressing, lacking any sort of positivity. ICP ultimately decided to walk into that darkness, and to tackle it ourselves, we enlisted the help of a special guest because 2 people just isn't enough. Do ICP create something more wicked and sinister than Dark Lotus? Is The Witch one of the most fleshed out characters in The Dark Carnival mythos? Is this potentially the best episode we've done yet and a baseline for what we should try to achieve from here on out? Find out the answers now. Pack a flashlight, bring some Faygo, and watch your step; we're taking a journey... to Hell's Pit. We cannot thank Mitch enough for joining us on this episode, go check out his music at flatsound.org, and listen to the podcast he co-hosts at allthespaceinbetween.com! | Ep. 44 - The New Prescription by MC Breed | 13 Sep 2020 | 01:58:46
To many, ICP is a parody on rap in general, but it shouldn't be overlooked that they ARE fans of the genre and have a great deal of respect for those that came before them. That respect turned into a friendship and business partnership with veteran MC Breed (or "Breed", for short). An album that was technically put out by a Psychopathic Records sub-label, there's probably some of you out there who've never heard of it! But we here at Juggalo Judgment are trying to leave no stone unturned (unless you're Myzery, that is; we'll talk about Para La Isla one day, I promise), so here it is! Does Breed flex as much as Twiztid? Does a lack of guests from the label itself alienate Juggalos? Is this even more of a pure hip-hop record from Psychopathic than Esham's album Repentance? Find out this and more. And the next time you head to the doctor, tell them Juggalo Judgment sent you. They'll fill out... The New Prescription. | Ep. 43 - Dirty History by Anybody Killa | 30 Aug 2020 | 01:46:05
It's about time we talked about everyone's favorite Native American rapper on Psychopathic Records again. Equal Opportunity Murderah is back with his 2nd album with The Hatchet, after what we considered a damn fine debut with Hatchet Warrior. Does EOM match the same intensity he gave us in 2003? Does this record have some really stand-out bass lines that we just had to mention? Does Violent J overstay his welcome? Find out this and more right now as we learn that, just like the United States, Anybody Killa has some... Dirty History. | Ep. 42 - Limited Edition EP by Psychopathic Rydas | 16 Aug 2020 | 00:44:11
The Rydas laid waste to the block, shooting everyone and everything in sight. Nothing was safe, nothing untouched. That is, except you. In the pandemonium, you somehow were spared. As you gathered yourself, you watched as their black truck pulled away, hearing them yell about getting something called "scrimps". You didn't care to find out what that was, so you started to make your way to safety. But something caught your eye. On the ground, something shiny glinted from the sunlight. As you reached for it, you notice it's a CD. Flipping it over, you read the words "Limited Edition", with 4 song titles listed, 1 actually being that same word "Scrimps". As you stare at it, befuddled, you don't hear the approaching truck from behind. But you DO hear the gunshot. It's the last sound you would ever hear. This is the 2004 GOTJ exclusive Psychopathic Rydas EP. | Ep. 41 - Check Your Shit In, B*tch ! by Psychopathic Rydas | 02 Aug 2020 | 01:49:19
2004 was a big year for the underground. With so many releases coming out from Psychopathic Records, one could totally overlook a release from similar label Joe & Joey Records, but the group won't let you. That's right! The Psychopathic Rydas have returned and they've bolstered their ranks with new members Sawed Off and Converse. Does the group seem more cohesive than in prior outings? Is there a significant drop in the amount of n-bombs heard this time around? How does every member shoot out of their black truck at the same time? Find out this and more on this episode. And the next time to book a stay at a hotel, don't forget to... Check Your Shit In, Bitch! | Ep. 40 - 3:33 by Zug Izland | 19 Jul 2020 | 01:28:29
Hey lovely listeners, we're back with a new episode. Zug Izland is back with their sophomore album and we're... "thrilled" to talk about it? Without the writing from Violent J, does Zug Izland hit a slam dunk out of the rink? Were the tracks we heard on PFOS2 the only ones worth hearing? Is this the most generic album Psychopathic has put out at this point? Find out these answers and more. Check the clock. It's... 3:33. | Ep. 39 - Cryptic Collection Vol. 3 by Twiztid | 05 Jul 2020 | 01:46:49
Twiztid really like collecting crypts, man. So much so that they have a 3rd collection they wanna show off! This is a weird one though, because these aren't exactly songs that didn't fit on any prior release, but mostly new stuff with some remixes thrown in for good measure. Do these new tracks get us excited for Twiztid's new releases? Do Mike and Schmeev agree on if any of the remixes are good? Find out now when dive into... Cryptic Collection, Vol. 3. | Ep. 38 - Black Rain by Dark Lotus | 21 Jun 2020 | 02:16:36
It's about that time for 6 people on Psychopathic Records to make an album together, SPECIFICALLY a Dark Lotus one. Hot off the heels of a brand new track on Psychopathics From Outer Space Part 2, ICP, Twiztid, Blaze, and ABK reunite from the first outing of everyone trying to sound like ICP and shift to a new direction of everyone trying to sound like Twiztid. Does this record sound more complete compared to the first? Does it have a more consistent tone in regards to production? Do we get a definitive answer on what Dark Lotus actually is supposed to be? We might find out, but probably not. So pack an umbrella, because the forecast is calling for... Black Rain. | Ep. 37-2 - Psychopathics From Outer Space Part 2! (Part 2!) by Insane Clown Posse | 07 Jun 2020 | 01:31:07
Another transmission from the deep reaches of space has been received. It's... apparently the 2nd half of the last one we got. Well if we don't analyze it, who will? Your hosts sit down and discuss the rest of this glorified sampler from Psychopathic Records. Does the latter half hit as well as the first? Does it get us excited for what would come from the label in 2004? Do we struggle to get through this long fucking album? The answers may surprise you, so put on your aluminum foil hat, cancel your trip to Roswell, and donate to a charity supporting Black Lives matter. | Ep. 37-1 - Psychopathics From Outer Space Part 2! by Insane Clown Posse | 24 May 2020 | 01:45:31
From the deepest, darkest corners of space, scientists have come across transmissions from an unknown source. They sound human in nature, but are unlike anything heard before. I mean, unless you completely disregard music that came from underground Detroit from 1992 onward. This week, we decipher these transmissions that have been presented in the form of a CD. Well... half of them. Time constraints forced our hand and this is a part 1 of 2 (we hope you understand; this album is super fucking long). So set your Quasars to "kill" and charge your hyperdrive, because this week we encounter... Psychopathics From Outer Space Part 2... part 1. | Ep. 36 - Repentance by Esham | 10 May 2020 | 03:19:21
Not gonna lie, we didn't think we'd ever cover this artist. But here we are. Today we take a look at the pioneer of Acid Rap, the godfather of the wicket shit (his words, not mine). Esham is a member of The Hatchet now and Juggalos can see what this relationship does for the artist and the label. How does this album compare to other releases from Psychopathic? How does it compare to some mainstream rap albums from the time? Does Esham sacrifice themes that would be prominent in your average Juggalo record and just make a good rap album? Find out the answers to these and more as we step into the confessional for... Repentance. | Ep. 35 - Wizard Of The Hood by Violent J | 26 Apr 2020 | 01:49:26
Shaggy 2 Dope released his first solo EP in 1994. It took Violent J 9 YEARS later to make one. Jeez, Mister J, way to have any sort of urgency. Anywho, 2003 for the Less Than Sane Posse Of Clowns is deep in the mindset of Diamond Rain. How does J deal with this? By smoking lots and lots of weed, of course! And making songs that also involve weed in some way, shape, or form! And hell, let's make it a Family affair and add our buddies Twiztid and Blaze as well. To top it all off, your lovable hosts have a lovable guest this week just for such an occasion. So pack your bags, Toto. I don't think we're in Detroit anymore. Let's take a walk down that yellow-brick alleyway to meet... The Wizard Of The Hood. Check Scott's work at https://whatdidsteveandmikedrink.blogspot.com and @tellyoutomorrow on Twitter! | Ep. 34 - The Green Book by Twiztid | 12 Apr 2020 | 02:21:10
2003 gave birth to one of Twiztid's most personal records to this day. Not every song can be about smoking weed and killing people, ya know? So we get an album about smoking weed, killing people, and REAL SHIT. But legitimately, Twiztid don't shy away from speaking about some personal topics here, and they even flex their ICP "Amazing Jeckel Brothers" card by getting some pretty notable guest appearances to boot. So grab that HARDCOVER, turn the PAGES, and start a new CHAPTER, because this is... The Green Book. | Ep. 33 - 4 The Fam by Twiztid | 29 Mar 2020 | 01:15:49
Sometimes, delays happen. Some we have control over, some we don't. Having that end goal in site and having it pushed back sucks. But that doesn't mean you have to take that sitting down! Sometimes, you just have to release a short EP for free on the Internet, which is exactly what the Demented Duo did! We take a look at an actual EP that they made to help tide over fans for The Green Book getting pushed back. Do I have a bunch of questions to ask in this description? Nope. Twiztid released this little nugget of freshness 4 you, 4 me... 4 The Fam. | SB 10 - Play: The Guitar Album by Brad Paisley | 23 Apr 2023 | 02:06:05
Alright, hear me out. I know country is a far cry from what our general audience is into, even for the Boonshot weirdos out there, but this isn't just ANY country album. Back in 2014, I went to a week long getaway with a bunch of amazing guitarists to enjoy clinics, jam sessions, all kinds of stuff. One of the people I met there later posted a partial cover of a song that I would have thought was from one of those guitarists who's famous only among guitarists, but no. It's none other than Brad Paisley, who I later came to understand is one hell of a musician. Today is about taking a journey through an album all about showcasing that ability, Brad Paisley's 2008 album, Play: The Guitar Album. Aaron is a real peach for joining me on this one, and you can find his show ICP w/We at www.icpwwe.com, check out Fukkfaace at https://fukkfaace.bandcamp.com, and watch him stream on twitch at https://www.twitch.tv/gristlemedia! | Ep. 32 - Hatchet Warrior by Anybody Killa | 15 Mar 2020 | 02:04:19
I'm not sure we've ever had an artist featured on so much stuff before they had their OWN actual debut release, but that seems to be the case with Anybody Killa. Seriously, the guy seems to pop up everywhere, from being on some of the best tracks on Blaze's "1 Less G N Da Hood" to yelling in the background of tracks on The Wraith. Killa certainly made his presence known. But in 2003, the underground would finally get to hear what ABK could do on his first full-length LP. Does he stand on his own? Who has the best guest feature? Is The Warriors a good movie? How many Native American references are thrown in this record? Hope you can keep track, because we didn't. Let us know the answer after we discuss... Hatchet Warrior. | Ep. 31 - Cracked Tiles by Zug Izland | 01 Mar 2020 | 01:54:56
Zug Island is an industrial island located at the southern city limits of Detroit. Zug Izland is a rock band who joined Psychopathic Records in 2001. Is there any correlation to the 2? Not really. But forget that. ROCK. We dive into the first rock album released by Psychopathic Records. How does it sound? Does Syn have the pipes to stand toe-to-toe with the greats in the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame? No. No, I'm not even gonna entertain that thought. But does Syn entertain the Juggalos? Do we get any guest features from their rap-centric label-mates? We'll find out today. So watch where you walk. Be sure that you don't step on any... Cracked Tiles. | Ep. 30 - The Wraith: Shangri-La by Insane Clown Posse | 15 Feb 2020 | 02:43:10
"After all 6 have risen, thy end of time will consume us all". It's a special day, listeners. We've finally reached thy end of ICP's initial journey, from rags to rags that are slightly less dirty. On that fateful day in November 2002, thy clowns released their final Joker Card to thy masses. We've been looking forward to recording this episode, y'all. We talk about what thy Diamond Rain did for thy clowns, how a change in producers might have been for thy best at this juncture, and Mike has an internal crisis.
