From Hurt to Healing: Finding Strength and Healing Through Personal Narratives with Story Healer and Guide Dr. Rick Diamond

Saison 1 · Épisode 187

mardi 17 septembre 2024Durée 01:02:27

In this episode I’m joined by Dr. Rick Diamond, an expert in the intersection of storytelling and healing, We explore our journeys from being deeply involved in organized religion to embracing a more personal and fluid spiritual path. Rick and I share how our experiences have taught us that spirituality isn't confined to a particular place or organization but is found within ourselves. Rick recounts his own transition from leading a faith community to becoming a spiritual and story healer. He explains how he discovered that true spiritual fulfillment comes from within, through listening to our own stories and beliefs and making necessary changes. We discuss how this realization led him to create a model to help others explore and reshape their own narratives. We emphasize that it’s okay to feel anger and that acknowledging and working through these feelings is crucial for personal growth. Rick offers practical advice on reclaiming one’s power and shifting focus from past hurts to creating a new, empowering story. We also touch on the broader issue of anger and division in today’s world, particularly in politics. We discuss the importance of accepting suffering as a part of life and approaching it with compassion, rather than letting it drive us further apart. Throughout the episode, Rick and I invite you to explore your own stories and beliefs, and we provide support and resources for those interested in furthering their personal and spiritual journeys. This podcast is a place for trauma survivors as well as their friends and family. This is a safe environment to be vulnerable but it's also a place for celebration and moving forward. How a Food Freedom Architect can Change the Way you Diet Forever with Niki Sibera

Saison 1 · Épisode 86

mardi 13 septembre 2022Durée 43:25

This week’s guest has revolutionized the way I think about my relationship with food. Her name is Niki Sibera, and she is the founder of Happy Hearted Eating and is known lovingly as a “Food Freedom Architect”.Niki joins me on the show this week to share what she has learned in her heart-healing work over the last 30 years. Niki opens up about her traumatic childhood experiences, which include her dad’s domestic violence and alcoholism, her mother’s two cancer diagnoses and subsequent death, her step-father’s sexual abuse, and her lack of stability growing up - moving 10 different times and going to 9 different schools all by the age of 15.Through her journey, Niki shows us how she has been able to transform into being a fierce guide and mentor for women, specializing in helping women feel free “to learn how to tame the whispers from the fridge.” She’s opened my eyes to exploring what’s behind the eating, to see how my own “trauma monster” has taken over my heart and how I cope.Let's get out of the bondage of shame and come into the light together. You are loved!  This week's conversation has enlightened me to a new way of thinking about how I relate to food and to myself, because I have struggled myself with my relationship with food, yo yo dieting etc….. Niki is a refreshing light! This podcast is sponsored by Betterhelp.comPlease use my code: JudgingMeghan for 10% off your first month.https://www.betterhelp.com/judgingmeghanI am an independent podcaster and your monthly donations and partnerships help more than you can imaginehttps://judgingmeghan.com/support/ Support the showSupport this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/judging-meghan/donationsAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy Learn more about your ad choices. Why is Bullying So Prevalent and How Can We Protect Our Kids? with Joe Constantine

mardi 6 septembre 2022Durée 01:12:55

I wanted to get to the root of why kids become bullies. Since it is the start of a new school year, I thought it was the perfect subject.  Today's guest, Joe Constantine, is a life coach from Colorado who specializes in Anti-Bullying. His company,  Breakaway Scores works with kids that suffer with bullying and mental health issues. He is also a survivor of bullying himself, when I saw his bio I had to reach out. Joe shared a bit of his own story being bullied so bad as a kid that he turned to Suicide as a way out. He also was being beaten up at home by an older brother. He decided he wanted to live his life trying to help kids that met the same fate and try to make a difference. I wanted to have a real conversation about why this is happening so often with kids. Listen as we talk about why kids bully and how we can protect our kids and teach them to deal with it and speak up. This podcast is sponsored by Betterhelp.comPlease use my code: JudgingMeghan for 10% off your first month.   Support the showSupport this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/judging-meghan/donationsAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy Learn more about your ad choices. Betrayed by Her Murdered Husband but Never Broken: with Author Jan Canty

lundi 15 août 2022Durée 01:16:13

Jan Canty's world was upended when her husband didn't come home one night. She later learned he had been connected with a pimp and a prostitute - giving them money hand over fist - leaving her massively in debt.  After having to identify his body and being hounded by the media during his salacious trial, she needed to discover her why. The  journey was one of trauma and betrayal, but she was unable to grieve for years. Still unable to share where she lives, due to threats. Jan has found freedom in sharing the truth. Jan has traveled the world volunteering to help others to help healher  own pain. After 30 years she was ready to tell people what really happened and finally be free of the pain she was carrying. I was honored to meet Jan.
