The 33rd Olympiad is in the books, and we will have some of the good, bad and ugly from Paris. We also checked out the Tourtiére Festival in Tournon, and it wasn't what we expected.

As the Olympics draw to a close, we have a number of controversial updates for you this week. We also journeyed over to Bias to check out the Chateau of Plates.

This week's intended destination of Toulouse was abruptly cancelled at the last minute, so we changed gears and headed down the road to beautiful Cahors, to see the spectacular St. Etienne Cathedral.

We visit an amazing Chateau, and the strangest museum of them all.

Since it's too hot to travel, we thought we'd entertain you with some funny travel moments from the past.

It's been a strange week. We got soaked watching the inaugural Penne D'Agenais Soapbox derby, then grabbed a few rays on our day-trip to the Chateau Monbazillac. The weather is all over the map. It's now starting to affect the Paris games. We'll have more on that.

Some things are better in Canada, some in France. In Chapter 9 we lay out some comparisons.

The rotten weather is limiting our adventure opportunities. So again, we were forced back indoors. This week, we check out a wine co-operative, talk about the Eurovision results and promote women's driving in France. There's also more on the Paris '24 games.

We finally got rid of the rain. On this sunny episode, we drop in on the famous Water Lily farm in Temple Sur Lot named after its founder, Latour-Marliac. We have more on the location of the Olympic torch, and France has just baked up the longest Baguette in the history of the world. Impressive.

Is it rainy, windy and cold here in SW France? Yes it is. But do we still have a podcast for you? Yes we do! That's the length we will go to keep you happy. Today, it's supposed to be Spring, so we checked out the Foire aux Fleurs in Tournon. We also take a look at this year's May Day and the 2024 Olympics.

I suppose if there's a museum for foie gras here in France, it stands to reason that there'd be one for Hazelnuts. And there is. And we went there. Also on this week's show there's more on the 2024 Paris Olympics, and the European alcohol consumption report was issued from the WHO.

We changed it up this week and headed South East of here to the "pink" city of Montauban. The stark contrast between the rock structures we are used to and the red brick used in the Medieval construction of Montauban was a feast for the eyes. There's news from the Olympic village and more French baseball to talk about as well.

Our plan came together. On today's podcast we returned to the Dordogne to travel up the river by boat through the beautiful village of La Roque-Gageac. The Michelin folks are adding Hotels to their rating system and Julie has more on France's new proposed "rabbit" tax.

Jeff was thrilled to be asked back to Canada to help induct Steve Smith (Red Green) into the Canadian Comedy Hall of Fame in Hamilton. We talk about Steve's positive contribution to Canadian Comedy and how much that connection meant to Jeff. Also on the show, Julie has some stern words for Vegans courtesy of the French government.

There are a lot of strange traditions here in France, but one of the cooler activities is the Waitor's Race. In today's Chapter we take a look at that. There's also news on the Olympic front as we get closer to the Paris summer games. And Jeff issues a rare apology. Mark the date.
