Curious? Find out more at www.faithfullygrowing.com Have any questions or suggestions for future content? Don't hesitate to reach out to me via email at tim@faithfullygrowing.com. In this meditation, Tim guides listeners in embracing their vulnerable and wounded parts and letting them know that there is hope for healing. He encourages listeners to be aware of the parts that react to these vulnerable parts and to use the internal family systems approach. The meditation begins by finding a comfortable position and turning attention to the internal world. Tim then leads listeners into a peaceful safe space within their minds, where they can connect with their inner world and extend compassion and curiosity. He encourages listeners to acknowledge and be gentle with the protective parts that arise and to check in with the more vulnerable or wounded parts. Tim emphasizes the importance of honoring and holding space for the protective parts and letting them know that things are different now. He guides listeners to tap into the younger, more vulnerable parts and extend compassion and curiosity towards them. Tim reassures listeners that they are in charge and capable of taking care of these parts and that there is hope for a better future. The meditation concludes with grounding in the present moment and reminding all parts that they can return to this place anytime they need to.

Summary:

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a type of therapy that suggests our mind is made up of different parts, each with its own viewpoints, feelings, and memories. The goal of IFS is to heal wounded parts and bring balance inside ourselves, which then spreads to our broader relationships and the world. IFS can benefit people with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship problems, low self-esteem, eating disorders, addiction, and more. It is evidence-based and backed by studies showing improvements in symptoms and overall happiness. When looking for an IFS practitioner, consider their training, experience, compatibility, and approach.
