Cementerio De La Recoleta - Español Al Vuelo S02 x Ep 2026 Mar 202500:14:41

The Recoleta Cemetery is one of the main attractions in Buenos Aires. How? A cemetery as a tourist attraction?

Well, it might seem a little strange, but this happens because this cemetery is very iconic for its design, and also because many of Argentina's national heroes are buried there.

The mausoleums are impressive architectural works, truly remarkable.

The cemetery is a great place to film a horror movie because it’s really gloomy.

But if you have the chance to travel, you should definitely visit the Recoleta Cemetery in Buenos Aires!

Tell us in the comments what you think about this.

From The End Of The World - Español Al Vuelo S02 x Ep 1813 Mar 202500:17:51

We recorded this episode practically from an airplane. I visited Ushuaia, the southernmost city in Argentina. It is a very well-known tourist destination, considered the end of the world. The weather is really cold, both in Ushuaia and in the province of Tierra del Fuego.

The landscape is incredibly beautiful, with large mountains surrounding the city, part of 'La Cordillera de los Andes'. The city is located in a bay, on the Beagle Channel.

I hiked 'Mount Martial' and sailed through the Beagle Channel to two islands. On one of them, there's 'El Faro del Fin del Mundo', where a colony of sea lions lives; there's also a penguin colony.

From my experience, everyone should visit Ushuaia. What do you think? Have you heard of Ushuaia?

Our Childhood - Español Al Vuelo S02 x Ep 1706 Mar 202500:16:09

In today's episode, we will talk about childhood. It was very different from today. We had other responsibilities, going to school was our only concern. In fact, it's normal to feel some nostalgia for that reason. At school, there were games like soccer or "hide and seek," that game where one person seeks and the others hide. Being a child also means doing extracurricular activities. And the diet? That was different too. Few vegetables, a lot of "fun" food.

Tell us, how has your childhood changed compared to your current life? We’ll read you in the comments.

Learn About Board Games in Spanish19 Feb 202500:18:17

There are many varieties of board games. We can play them with friends, family, or for competition.

The board game industry is very large in Europe and the United States. The world of board games is also vast as they have many subgenres. Some are suitable for all audiences, while others have restrictions.

Card games have been popular for many centuries and, in fact, they are the most popular type of board game. In Argentina, "Truco" is the most popular card game.

There are even "party games." These usually have few components and are easy to explain. This is motivated by the little space they require.

Deduction games are another genre and perhaps the most interesting because of everything they involve.

So, what's your favorite? Do you often play board games? We look forward to reading your comments.

The Best Weather - Español Al Vuelo S02 x Ep 1412 Feb 202500:19:27

Currently, it's summer in Argentina. The weather during this season is very unpredictable, so even though it may seem strange, you can catch a cold. Beyond that, the weather is always an interesting topic.

Most people prefer sunny days. A sunny day is considered "ideal" for going out, taking a walk, or doing outdoor sports. However, the downside of a sunny day in summer is the intense heat, dehydration, and high temperatures, which can make certain activities more difficult.

On the other hand, cloudy days tend to create a feeling of "extra weight" for some people.

However, gray days also have their own charm.

What's your favorite type of weather? Let us know in the comments!

Material Possessions: Minimalist vs. Hoarder - Español Al Vuelo S02 x Ep 1305 Feb 202500:16:41

For several years now, the word "minimalism" has been trendy. The idea behind it is that we don’t need so many objects or material possessions. We can live happily, with less stress and more freedom, by buying fewer things and spending less money. In other words, by "being minimalist."

Minimalism is present in all aspects of life. More and more areas of our daily lives are adopting a minimalist approach—advertising, clothing, objects, and more.

But is it really possible to be minimalist? It depends on the context and the area of life. Some fields allow for more minimalism than others. For example, technology.

What do you think about this concept? Do you consider yourself a minimalist, or are you more of a hoarder?

The Cellphone: The Only Thing That Matters? - Español Al Vuelo S02 x Ep 1229 Jan 202500:14:48

Nowadays, the cellphone has become a fundamental part of our daily lives.

It is the most important communication tool. So much so that it has replaced other tools and objects. For example, taking photos used to be very difficult, but today, you can take pictures and even record videos with your phone.

From anywhere in the world, as long as you have internet access, you can reach an enormous ocean of information—all in the palm of your hand!

Social class doesn’t matter: everyone has a cellphone. But not everything is perfect; nowadays, it is also a major source of distraction. Whether through social media or games, time flies. It’s a great distraction that we must learn to control.

Are dumbphones the solution? It's an interesting question to consider.

What is your relationship with cellphones like? Let us know in the comments!

Argentinian Daily Menú - Español Al Vuelo S02 x Ep 1122 Jan 202500:18:44

In general, in our country Argentina, people eat four meals a day.

Unlike other countries, Argentina has a "sweet" and lighter breakfast.

Lunch isn’t very heavy either, but it’s savory. It’s usually something quick.

The afternoon snack, or merienda, is important, as it’s typically enjoyed around 4 or 5 PM. In Buenos Aires, restaurants aren’t open at that time. Instead, people gather in cafés, sipping coffee and eating sandwiches.

Dinner is the heaviest meal of the day. It’s when we eat more abundantly.

What really sets us apart is the timing—while the dishes are similar to those in other countries, in Argentina, dinner starts at 8 PM at the earliest, and that’s considered early!

What are mealtimes like in your country? Tell us in the comments if they’re very different from those in Argentina!

The Time I Went To The History Olympiads - Español Al Vuelo S02 x Ep 1015 Jan 202500:18:02

Something very typical in educational systems is school Olympiads. These are not exclusively about sports but cover various subjects: history, mathematics, science, and literature.

Our host, Franco, shares his experience in History Olympiads. In fact, he went through the different stages and made it to the final.

Preparation is essential. Studying the topics that will be addressed in the competition is key. The event has a certain level, and if you enter, you must rise to the occasion. Otherwise, it will be a complete EMBARRASSMENT.

New Year's Resolutions - Español Al Vuelo S02 x Ep 0908 Jan 202500:16:12

They encompass all those things we want to achieve.

Typically, they appear at the beginning of January. While they might seem like a relatively new concept, they essentially refer to the things we wish to accomplish in the new year ahead.

But do we really need to wait until this point to pursue the goals we aim for?

Clearly, no. It's important to distinguish whether we're postponing something or simply setting a goal because of the pressure of the calendar.

Taking it step by step will not only bring new achievements but also prevent us from accumulating so many goals that we end up accomplishing none of them.

How do you approach these objectives? Do you usually make them?

Let us know in the comments!

Coffee And Cafés - S02 x Ep 0825 Dec 202400:17:48

You don't think we only drink mate in Argentina, do you?

Coffee is also a very popular beverage. A good cup of coffee for breakfast provides a great energy boost to start the day. There are various ways to complement a coffee: sugar, chocolate, milk, among many other options.

Although caffeine intake reduces sleepiness, it's quite common to have coffee after dinner.

In Buenos Aires, there are different types of cafés:

  • The classic café, found in many areas of the city.
  • Franchise cafés, which belong to the 21st century and are very modern.
  • Specialty cafés, which are also modern but focus on excellence and offering top-quality coffee.

Do you drink a lot of coffee? Are the cafés in your city like the ones in Buenos Aires? Tell us in the comments!

About Cooking - Español Al Vuelo S02 x Ep 0611 Dec 202400:17:54

Depending on whether we cook or order delivery, food becomes a fundamental part of our routine. It can be healthy meals, balanced meals, or even unhealthy ones.

Generally, cooking tends to be cheaper than ordering. Of course, that's not the only difference-there are also the portion sizes, ingredients, and the level of involvement you have in the dish.

The economic factor often plays a crucial role.

Another key reason is the TIME factor. Many times, we say, "I don't have time to cook," so ordering something is faster and more effective. However, this can also be relative.

And what a noble element: LEFTOVERS! If I cook meat, I make extra; if I cook pasta, I make extra too. This way, we can save even more time in the future.

What's it like in your country? Do you enjoy cooking, or do you prefer ordering in? Tell us in the comments!
