What makes crowd-funding such a smart and freeing alternative to standard health insurance

This week, we are revisiting one of the most popular episodes of Intentionally Well, as it's been on my heart personally to re-share this important discussion. With a major lack of informed consent and continuous denial from practitioners, countless people have and are suffering from Botox injections worldwide. Despite growing awareness, the majority of society is still in the dark regarding this neurotoxin, and informed consent is critical when considering. Most providers today are also unaware of the suffering and negative effects for a variety of reasons, which complicates actual and factual informed consent from taking place.
The Never Tox team has worked tirelessly to disclose correct patient information and set up a comprehensive support system for those who are in need of help post-injury or side effects. Gretch serves up some cold hard facts regarding statistics, shares plenty of anecdotal evidence, and answers all the typical "exception" questions one may have regarding the safety of Botox injections. She also educates us on the devastating reality of how it can play a huge role in one's mental/emotional health status. Never Tox is dedicated to helping people connect the dots between Botox injections and their health issues, and continues to compassionately advocate for those who've unfortunately been injured.
In this interview, I sit down with Emma Tekstra, actuary, global health consultant, and author of How to Be a Healthy Human: What Your Doctor Doesn't Know about Health and Longevity. What is the Open Air Factor?
How can you become a smarter health insurance consumer?
In this episode, I sit down with Dr. Julie Siemers, DNP, MSN, RN, to discuss the realities of today's hospital and critical care system. She is a patient safety consultant, industry nurse leader, worldwide educator, the founder of Lifebeat Solutions, and the author of the bestselling book, 'Surviving Your Hospital Stay: A Nurse Educator's Guide to Staying Safe and Living to Tell About it.'
This discussion is a crucial and pivotal one that every human being should listen to regarding patient advocacy. We are all subject to injury, illness, or surgery at some point in life, and today's unfortunate healthcare realities demand we equip ourselves with the knowledge and tools to navigate such events...be it for a loved one or ourselves. During this chat, Dr. Julie Siemers educates us on the conservative realities happening behind the healthcare curtain, and she shares expert tips and resources that will enable your confidence if/when a hospital stay becomes necessary.

She takes great pride in addressing all patients through a functional approach with the integration of neuromuscular control, biopsychosocial influences, corrective exercise and stem cell therapy.
In this episode, I sit down with Dr. Tracy McCarthy, board-certified functional psychiatrist to discuss the intricacies of mental health in today's world. She eventually sidestepped conventional psychiatry after experiencing frustration with the limitations of the practice, and is now dedicated towards root-cause medicine.
She is the creator of the Natural Mood Solution Online Program, the founder and Medical Director of Dr. Tracy McCarthy Functional Medicine, and is highly committed to helping adults suffering from mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, and more. However, unlike the conventional approach, she looks at the body/brain holistically and functionally, and works with patients to uncover the real story behind their symptoms.
Most mental health challenges accompany symptoms such as brain fog, fatigue, digestive issues, hormonal imbalances, etc., and her unique approach focuses on tackling these underlying issues such as microbiome imbalances, nutrient deficiencies, and toxin exposures. Her goal is to educate her patients and people on how inflammation is highly connected to our mental health, known disorders, and mood disturbances.
In this special episode, I sit down with Chrissy Hicks to candidly discuss the MIRACLE journey of her daughter Yulia. After being adopted from Ukraine, Yulia was in need of a life-saving kidney transplant, but was denied the procedure by Duke University Hospital due to her Covid vaccination status.
The story unfolds in the most incredible of ways, miracle after miracle...and Chrissy and her husband are still relentlessly dedicated towards raising awareness and sharing accommodating resources for other transplant patients. They believe it's critically important to continue to fight for EVERYONE'S freedoms and rights, and they are by no means done with trying to restructure and pass Yulia's Law.
While this situation with Yulia went viral and reached the mainstream media, there is still much work to do when it comes to the protection of body autonomy for all citizens. With faith as their foundation, they are obediently and courageously open to do whatever it takes to create real, lasting change.
This week’s episode is a little different. For the first time in a long while, I’m sharing what feels like an overdue personal update. If you’ve been a longtime listener, you know my podcast has always been about YOU and providing encouragement, hope, and practical insight for the seasons you’re walking through with your health. But lately, I've felt prompted to invite you into my own story in a deeper way, and in efforts to give a more comprehensive view so you can connect better with who's behind the microphone.
This is not a super polished or ultra curated version of my story, but a real and honest account of what it’s been like to walk through ongoing health challenges.
My hope is that you'll feel less alone if you’re also walking through something extra challenging, and that you may see glimpses of how God shows up even in the messiest, most difficult seasons.
This was not an easy episode for me to release, but I believe it matters. Because meaning is so often found in the middle, not the mountaintop. I pray this encourages you right where you are.

In this episode, I sit down with Matt Blackburn, for a very candid conversation largely surrounding "changing your mind" and evolving in a culture that largely still safely operates in a dogmatic manner . Matt is the founder and owner of Mitolife, the host of Mitolife Radio Podcast, the creator of the CLF Protocol, and has truly dedicated his life towards alternative health research. As someone who people have looked towards for health information that's typically absent from conventional health circles, he has also seen much backlash in recent years for changing his mind on multiple concepts, upon being presented with new information and research. Coming from a place of a once pretty stiff belief system, Matt now feels that being open to changing your mind can positively shift your health and your life from all angles.
We also touch on many of the concepts Matt has evolved through or changed his tune on, including:
Iron overload, iron-deficiency, ferritin markers, and anemia
What happened when he donated blood?
The vitamin C debate: Whole food C versus ascorbic acid
Zinc supplementation

In this episode, I sit down with return guests Amanda Porta and Robyn Towt to discuss an extremely important update within the breast implant industry. With a new, "safer" Motiva implant pending FDA approval, these women want to make sure the truth is given to all women considering implants in the future. This implant (that was supposed to hit the U.S. market in 2023) claims to be vastly safer than its competitors because of revolutionary technology (including a microchip), and backed by "rigorous science" and "clinical data."
Both Amanda and Robyn have graciously come back to properly educate us all on what's really going on and that despite claims, this shiny new option is not what it's cracked up to be. As well-known patient advocates, both women feel it is their duty and responsibility to highlight the unfortunate and consistent safety concerns, along with the fact that nearly all safety studies advertised by the company have conflicts of interest. These implants are also already approved in some countries, where authorities have come forward with serious concerns, considering the onset of symptoms/illness they are seeing.
With the date of FDA approval unknown, these women are passionate about continuing to share the crucial importance of both real informed consent, as well as call attention to the common health concerns that are associated with ALL breast implants, including this upcoming option. They want women to be aware of the fact that the majority of doctors are not given the full story, and are sadly unaware of the realities of BII, as well as cancer concerns.

Emily's book "The Screentime Solution: A Judgment-Free Guide to Becoming a Tech-Intentional Family" is an Amazon bestseller and available everywhere books are sold.
This episode is a MUST LISTEN for parents, but in all honesty...helpful for us all, parent or not. We go into detail about the following:
Why are screens and phones so addictive, especially for children and teens?

In this episode, I sit down with the CEO and Founder of Activation Products, Ian Clark. Ian's story is nothing short of incredible, as he was told he only had about three years left to live at the young age of 46. Along with going bankrupt and having the grave concern of not being around to raise his seven children, he courageously took matters into his own hands, healing his body and then some.
After five remarkable years, Ian built a raw supplement business direct to consumer in his basement, which ended up reaching hundreds of thousands of people in just two years. Now many years later, Activation Products continues to stand out among the sea of supplement companies due to his relentless research and continued commitment to help people have faith in their own body's capabilities.
Ian's story and leap of faith highlights one very important thing: The body CAN heal given the right tools and environment. His dedication to see his healing through wasn't an easy road, but it resulted in his now-superb health status, and was the catalyst to unlocking certain "keys" to cleaning up body toxicities we commonly deal with.

In this episode, I have a forthright and highly thoughtful conversation with Chronic Pain Coach, Dan Buglio, who specializes in TMS (Tension Myositis Syndrome) and Mindbody resolution.
This conversation is a MUST LISTEN if you or someone you know is suffering from chronic pain or other chronic symptoms DESPITE your/their diagnosis, imaging results, surgery reports, etc.
Dan has been sharing content on how to break free from chronic pain through his Pain Free You channels for over four years now, and has helped thousands resolve chronic issues that were thought of as impossible to change. His work is largely based off of TMS (pioneered by Dr. John Sarno), but has also branched off to further educate people on what he calls "perceived danger pain."
While pain is not "our fault," we can unintentionally find ourselves in a cycle of chronic pain due to the information our brain is continually receiving (this also includes a large range of other symptoms such as IBS, fibromyalgia, tinnitus, vertigo, anxiety, migraine headaches, skin issues, food sensitivities, etc.). Dan's goal is to teach others how to teach their brain that they are not in danger, therefore creating safety so the brain can then operate off of good information versus misinformation and bad data.
The majority of us have been programmed to think that we have to live with chronic pain/symptoms due to injury, surgery, degeneration and age, a medical diagnosis, unknown reasons, and even repressed emotional turbulence/trauma. Many of us have also medicalized our situations, believing that there is no out because we feel we have a "real problem" that cannot be solved or fixed. However, countless willing people who've led with an open mind have changed their situations due to Dan's guidance, teachings, and daily videos.
In this anticipated episode, I sit down with Matt Roeske, face and founder of Cultivate Elevate, to discuss the controversial and often-confusing topic of geoengineering and weather manipulation. Matt's passion for research, along with his quest to help society educate themselves past the mainstream headlines has initiated critical thought regarding a variety of topics. His main goal is to create space for people to become curious about all we've been told, as well as rise above the widespread fear and discover real solutions for healthier living.
In this episode, I have the wonderful opportunity to sit down with Brad Yates...speaker, author, YouTuber, and "Tapping" Extraordinaire. Tapping, also known as the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), is a very simple healing tool to help oneself clear mental and emotional blockages that could be keeping them stuck to any degree in life. Brad's genuine intent to share a couple basic videos on YouTube years ago exploded as people took to his creative and often humorous use of EFT, which led to his now massive online presence, with over 1000 videos and 45 million views. Tapping is used as an effective method of physically resetting the body’s fear response by tapping on energy meridians throughout the body, while talking through the process in order to facilitate the clearing of emotional resistance and/or trauma. During this discussion we go over all of the following and more:
The basics of EFT (tapping)
The science behind tapping and how it coincides with the science of acupuncture
What happens with the brain/nervous system as you implement EFT/tapping
The "whys" behind how despite our desire to change or heal, we get stuck or feel stagnant in our progress due to unconscious programming
How tapping can be applied to any scenario/concern one is having in life, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, general stress, anger, insomnia, etc.
How it can help with acute or chronic health symptoms and chronic pain
