Best known as a Government Workplace Expert, she is known on a national scale for implementing precedent-setting, federal government-wide human capital policy and workplace initiatives to implement work life and wellness policies within the United States Intelligence Community, post 9/11, and she designed and implemented award winning work life programs across the Executive Departments and Executive Branches of government having served for more than two decades within the United States Intelligence Community, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the Office of Personnel Management and the U.S. Department of Labor, among others. 

Additionally, she served as the Designated Federal Officer for the Secretary of Labor’s Advisory Committee on Veterans Employment, Training, and Employer Outreach (ACVETEO) before transitioning to the private sector with FlexJobs, a fully remote company. As Vice President of Employer Engagement and Strategic Initiatives, Mika collaborated with executives across all sectors and industries to enhance talent management, develop recruitment strategies, and leverage flexible work policies for attracting and retaining top talent. 

Mika was a regularly featured guest on the ABC/7 Government Matters TV show and she regularly volunteers her time with the Senior Executives Association (SEA), the Maine Advisory Council on Remote Work and in the past with the Greater Washington Board of Trade Connected DMV Work Group, the Advanced Technology Academic Research Center (ATARC) Digital/Workforce Transformation Work Group, Board Appointed HR Liaison for AFFIRM, and she previously served as the Government Chair of the Evolving the Workforce Community of Interest for ACT-IAC.

Karen Cinibulk is a highly experienced professional with over 25 years in the health and civilian sectors. She currently serves as the Vice President and Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Market Lead at Maximus Federal Health. Her proactive approach has been instrumental in expanding into new markets and deepening relationships with clients and partners.  
 
Before joining Maximus, Karen worked as VA Client Account Executive for Atlas Research. In that role, she managed operational activities and was responsible for the strategic growth of the firm’s largest market. 
 
Karen has held leadership positions in the federal healthcare industry, including VP of Federal Health Solutions for L-3 Communications. Additionally, she was a senior executive at CGI-AMS, managing large acquisition and financial management programs, including the first-ever Department of Defense standardized system which was deployed to over five hundred sites and 23,000 users worldwide. 
 
Before her career in private industry, Karen worked as a civil service employee for the VA, serving in both the Veterans Benefits Administration and the Veterans Health Administration. During her tenure there, she received the prestigious Scissors Award for the success of the Consolidated Copayment Processing Center. 
 
Karen holds a Bachelor of Science from East Carolina University and a Master of Arts in Public Administration from George Mason University.  
Karen’s philanthropic activities are focused on Veterans including long-standing involvement with organizations and events including the Easter Seals, Elizabeth Dole Foundation, Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA) Wheelchair Games, and Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Winter Sports Clinic.

Marissa Parisi is the Account Director for Healthcare at Coforma. She is an accomplished executive with over 20 years of experience in the nonprofit, healthcare, and corporate sectors. Hailing from Shelburne, Vermont, she started her career in national service in one of the country’s first Americorps VISTA teams where she ran literacy and service learning programs in one of Massachusetts’ most economically challenged communities. After her national service, she served in numerous capacities for Planned Parenthood of Northern New England before becoming the Executive Director of Hunger Free Vermont where she was a state and national advocate for eradicating hunger in our country. Melanie coauthored Business Success Secrets, an honest, raw, and real look at some of the best-kept entrepreneurial secrets. Her chapter in the book, “From ADD to Harvard,” chronicles her courageous journey and her challenges.

She supports diversity, equity, and neuroinclusion in the workplace, and is close to the world of learning disabilities and a role model to those struggling in the academic and business environments.

Melanie holds degrees from Spelman College and Harvard Law School and is active in the Atlanta business community.

Since joining NGS in November 2021, Kamala is instrumental in level setting and shaping the agenda for health equity and the social drivers of health (SDOH), specifically for Medicare.

Lauren Weiner, Ph.D. is Chief Revenue Officer of WWC Global, a Pequot Company, a tribally owned management consulting firm. The firm was founded in 2004 by Lauren Weiner and Donna Huneycutt. It grew from two to over 350 employees and just under $100 million in revenue. It was acquired by Command Holdings, a non-gaming investment arm of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation, in 2022. The community of companies now has approximately 500 employees. Prior to WWC Global, Lauren worked at the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) in the Executive Office of the President. Under two different presidential administrations, she oversaw policy development, implementation and performance assessment for multiple federal agencies. Her academic accomplishments include a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and a Ph.D. from Dartmouth College. Lauren also co-founded two non-profit organizations.
