By Part 3, the story stops being easy to divide into “serious military UFO cases” and “weird Skinwalker Ranch stuff.”
According to Skinwalkers at the Pentagon, AAWSAP was looking at both.
This episode gets into the part of the book that caused years of confusion around AAWSAP vs. AATIP, Harry Reid’s attempt to get the program Special Access Program protection, BAASS investigations, black triangle sightings, the Nimitz/Tic Tac connection, the massive databases being assembled behind the scenes, and the increasingly uncomfortable attention being paid to what happened to people after close encounters.
One of the cases we spend time on involves a huge black triangular craft reported over a Georgia property, alleged physical effects on the witness, medical follow-up, and a visit from men whose vehicle was later connected in the book to a Department of Homeland Security carpool.
And this is where I think Skinwalkers at the Pentagon becomes much more interesting than the normal version of the Pentagon UFO story.
The public got pilots, radar, Navy videos, and objects moving strangely in the sky.
The people inside AAWSAP, according to this book, were dealing with something much messier.
They were collecting military reports alongside civilian encounters. Looking at biological effects. Building databases. Investigating Skinwalker Ranch. Trying to distinguish secret American technology from genuinely unidentified craft. And repeatedly running into cases where whatever happened seemed to involve the witness as much as the object.
I already believe the UAP phenomenon is real. I think we are long past needing every conversation to begin by pretending there is nothing here. The harder question is what exactly we have been looking at, and whether our normal categories are even useful anymore.
Because once the same government program is studying the Tic Tac, black triangles, strange medical effects, and Skinwalker Ranch, the story becomes considerably harder to package into a three-minute news segment.
This is Skinwalkers at the Pentagon, Part 3.
Part 4 gets into what happened after AAWSAP began running out of road: DHS, Kona Blue, and the strange afterlife of the program.
