Nicky Holloway is widely regarded as one of the pioneers of UK club culture, helping shape the scene from the late 1970s onwards. A key figure behind some of London’s most influential club nights, including The Trip at the Astoria and Special Branch at Brent Cross, Nicky blended soul, funk, early electronic sounds and Balearic influences at a time when dance music culture was still forming. In the late 1980s, Holloway became closely associated with the rise of Ibiza as a cultural force, bringing the island’s open-minded, genre-blending spirit back to the UK. Alongside contemporaries Paul Oakenfold, Danny Rampling and Johnny Walker he helped introduce the Balearic sound and ethos to British audiences, playing a key role in the early days of acid house and the explosion of rave culture. Known for his eclectic taste and refusal to be boxed into one style, Holloway remains an important link between Ibiza’s formative years and the foundations of today’s global dance music scene.

Sasha is one of the most influential DJs to emerge from the UK, known for his genre-blending sets and role in shaping progressive house and modern club culture. Rising through the late 80s and early 90s, he built a reputation for musical storytelling and technical precision, becoming a key figure in the evolution of long-form DJ sets.

His Ibiza story began in 1990, arriving on the island with records in hand on the off chance of landing a set. After Alan Warman received a Sasha mixtape, he booked him for Manic Mondays at Ku. On that trip, Sasha encountered resident DJs playing records he’d never heard before, inspiring him to expand his sound and embrace a wide mix of genres - a defining influence on his future style.

Giuseppe Nuzzo, better known as DJ Pippi, first came to Ibiza on holiday in 1979 and instantly fell in love with both the island and Pacha. Returning every year, he would bring mixtapes for the club’s owners, brothers Ricardo and Piti Urgell. In 1984, they tracked him down at his clothing and record shop in Germany and invited him to become a resident DJ at Pacha that summer. Pippi’s first DJ set at the club took place on March 9, 1984 - a date he says he will never forget.

Aaron Ross is a music industry executive and founder of Infinite Future Management, with more than 25 years’ experience across A&R, radio, artist development and management. He began his career at Virgin Records during the late 1990s, working within the label’s dance division VC Recordings at a time when artists including Massive Attack, The Chemical Brothers and Daft Punk were reshaping electronic music culture. He later held senior promotion and A&R roles with Ministry of Sound, Defected Records and the relaunched Strictly Rhythm.

In 2012, Ross founded Infinite Future Management, transitioning into artist management and helping guide the global breakthrough of Jonas Blue. Since then, he has developed a respected international roster spanning electronic and alternative music including TCTS, Chaney, Audio Bullys and Melon Bomb whilst working along the way with Roger Sanchez, Sandy Rivera and Kenny 'Dope' Gonzales.

Ulises Braun has been part of Ibiza’s club culture since first arriving on the island in 1979, inspired by the energy of legendary venues including Studio 54 in New York and Le Palace in Paris. After opening an Amnesia boutique in 1984, he became deeply embedded in Ibiza nightlife, eventually taking on a major promotional role at the iconic club throughout the 1990s.

Over the following decades, Ulises helped build Ibiza’s international reputation through his Sleepless Nights and Ibiza Reunion parties across Europe, while working with venues and brands including Pacha, El Divino, MTV Ibiza, W Ibiza, Club Chinois and Beachouse. A respected ambassador of Ibiza culture, he received a Lifetime Award at the Swiss Night Life Awards and remains one of the island’s most recognisable and enduring nightlife figures.

Matthew Benjamin aka Bushwacka! is latest recipient of an Ibiza Hall Of Fame award and joined us at IMS Ibiza in April to discuss his early Ibiza adventures, including arriving on the island at just 17 and being offered an Amnesia residency that he turned down to focus on building his profile  — a decision that helped lay the foundations for a remarkable 35-year career.

Vicky Devine is one of the pioneering female trance DJs who helped break UK talent onto the international stage. After moving to Ibiza in 2000, she became the long-running main room resident at Judge Jules' legendary Judgement Sundays at Eden, playing weekly for over a decade and establishing herself as one of the island's most respected resident DJs. Throughout her career she's toured globally, performed at virtually every major Ibiza club, released music on leading trance labels, launched her own DE:VA Recordings imprint, and earned support from artists including Armin van Buuren, Tiësto, Paul van Dyk and Paul Oakenfold. Beyond DJing and production, Vicky has worked extensively across radio, television, artist management and music publishing, and today serves as Head of Creative & Licensing at Truelove Music Publishing while continuing to DJ and produce. Her versatility and lasting influence have kept her at the forefront of electronic music for more than two decades.

Comic artist and creator Aura Gold joins us to reveal the incredible story behind We Love Ibiza — the ambitious comic book series documenting the history, culture and characters that have shaped the world’s most famous island.

Ministry of Sound celebrates its 35th anniversary as one of the world's most influential club brands and Lohan Presencer and Caitlin McAllister joined Alan and Clara to reflect on the club's journey from a disused bus garage inspired by New York's Paradise Garage to becoming a global dance music institution.

They discuss the founders' obsession with creating the ultimate sound system, the rise of the legendary Ministry of Sound compilation albums, and how the club helped launch countless DJs, producers and record labels. Lohan also reveals how Ministry developed 21 UK No.1 singles, signed artists including Example, DJ Fresh, Wretch 32 and London Grammar, and built one of dance music's most successful record businesses.

The conversation explores the challenges facing modern club culture, from rising costs and property development to nurturing new talent and protecting London's nightlife. They also explain why, despite today's festival-sized productions, Ministry's intimate dancefloor remains one of the world's favourite clubs for both DJs and clubbers.

Tony Truman's Ibiza journey began in 1983 when, as a 15-year-old, he first experienced the island's legendary clubs, including Ku and Amnesia. Already promoting his own parties in London under the Tru's Do's banner, the trip inspired a lifelong ambition to create unforgettable venues and experiences in Ibiza.

Over the following four decades, Tony became one of the island's best-known figures, co-founding Ocean Beach Ibiza (with Wayne Lineker), Bam-Bu-Ku and Wi-Ki-Woo Hotel. Blending music, design, entertainment and the unmistakable spirit of Ibiza, he has helped shape the island's daytime club culture and created experiences enjoyed by millions of visitors from around the world.

In another of our conversations with industry figures, Sophie Bee takes us behind the scenes of some of dance music's biggest events, revealing what it really takes to bring world-class club experiences to life. As the creative force behind La Discothèque which currently hosts Thursdays throughout July at 528 Ibiza, while also working with Hacienda Classical, Warehouse Project, Block9 at Glastonbury and other major productions, she explains the hidden world of creative direction, production, performers and problem-solving that audiences never see. Sophie also talks about championing women across the industry, nurturing the next generation through education, and creating inclusive events that capture the glamour, freedom and spirit of Ibiza. Jeremy Healy joined us to reflect on a lifelong passion for DJing that began after seeing a DJ's setup in the late 1970s. He takes us back to weekends spent clubbing in New York during the mid-1980s, recording radio mix shows to bring home to London, his long friendship with Boy George, and the formative nights that shaped London's club scene. Along the way, Jeremy shares how those early experiences led him from pop success with Haysi Fantayzee to becoming one of the world's first superstar DJs and helping define the soundtrack of Ibiza and modern dance culture.

Our latest inductee into the Ibiza Hall Of Fame is Wayne Lineker  - entrepreneur, co-founder of O Beach Ibiza, and one of Ibiza's most recognisable figures who joined Alan and Clara to reflect on nearly four decades on the island.

Wayne looks back at his first trips to Ibiza, opening Linekers Bar in 2008 alongside Tony Truman, and the conversation in a Marbella swimming pool that led to the creation of O Beach Ibiza. He shares how the venue transformed daytime entertainment on the island with world-class production, live performances and a social media-first approach.

He discusses the challenges of COVID, how Brexit changed staffing in Ibiza, and why the island still has a unique magic that keeps people returning year after year.

Wayne also opens up about one of the toughest periods of his life, revealing how addiction nearly cost him everything before entering rehab and rebuilding his life. He explains how rebuilding his life through sobriety gave him a completely new perspective on the island he loves.

Barbara Tucker "The Queen Of House", is a legendary vocalist, songwriter and performer, widely regarded as one of the house music's defining voices. A major force in house music for more than four decades, she's known for timeless club anthems including 'Beautiful People,' 'I Get Lifted,' 'Stop Playing With My Mind', 'Most Precious Love' and of course Hardrive 'Deep Inside'. Barbara held her first Ibiza residency in 2001 and has performed across the world and collaborated with dance music icons including David Guetta, Louie Vega, Todd Terry, Danny Tenaglia and Moby. Beyond the studio and stage, she is also a mentor, author, label owner and passionate advocate for the global house music community.

Barbara joined us in Manchester in July after her performance at Hacienda Classical for a wide-ranging conversation covering her unexpected journey into music, the creation of house classics including Beautiful People, the New York club scene and promoting the legendary Underground Network plus her 25-year love affair with Ibiza and her mission to mentor the next generation of artists.

Island resident Pete Gooding joined Alan and Clara to reflect on his Ibiza journey since first visiting on a family holiday in 1987 aged just 13, discovering the Balearic sound and buying mix tapes off José Padilla before becoming one of the island's defining sunset DJs, with 30 years behind the decks at Café Mambo and beyond.

Island resident Jo Mills joined Alan and Clara her remarkable 34-year DJ career, from discovering Ibiza in 1987 and learning to DJ at Flying Records in Kensington Market to becoming a resident at Cream and CircoLoco at DC-10. She recalls playing alongside some of the island’s most influential DJs, her memorable invitation from Danny Tenaglia to play Vinyl in New York, and the music and people that have shaped her Ibiza journey. We also explore life in Santa Gertrudis, her favourite island spots, the evolution of the underground scene and her new Ibiza venture Iseno.

Dwayne Muffin is a popular Ibiza travel vlogger who has called the island home for over a decade, building a recognisable brand through his authentic videos showcasing Ibiza’s lifestyle, nightlife, restaurants, beaches and hidden gems.

Formerly known as the “San Antonio Vlogger,” Dwayne joined us for a wide-ranging conversation about discovering Ibiza at 18, the evolution of his social media career and how Ibiza has changed over the years. We also explore his favourite restaurants and beaches, the island beyond the clubs, his experiences during COVID, meeting celebrities including his hero Shane Macgowan, and some of his most memorable Ibiza stories.

IMS co-founder, Director of Chinois Ibiza and island resident Danny Whittle takes us back to the mid-90s, when Ibiza’s club scene was still the Wild West — a world of cash payments, poster wars and armies of flyermen battling to promote the biggest nights.With no social media and little regulation, promoters relied on beaches, bars, flyers and posters to fill their clubs. Danny reveals how flyering was carefully tracked, how rival clubs would move posters to illegal locations to trigger fines, and how penalties eventually reached €3,000–€4,000 — helping bring the era of street promotion to an end.
