Nicky Holloway - Ibiza and UK club culture pioneer, from London’s most influential club nights to helping shape the Balearic sound in Britain in the early 90s22 Apr 202600:40:23

Nicky Holloway is widely regarded as one of the pioneers of UK club culture, helping shape the scene from the late 1970s onwards. A key figure behind some of London’s most influential club nights, including The Trip at the Astoria and Special Branch at Brent Cross, Nicky blended soul, funk, early electronic sounds and Balearic influences at a time when dance music culture was still forming. In the late 1980s, Holloway became closely associated with the rise of Ibiza as a cultural force, bringing the island’s open-minded, genre-blending spirit back to the UK. Alongside contemporaries Paul Oakenfold, Danny Rampling and Johnny Walker he helped introduce the Balearic sound and ethos to British audiences, playing a key role in the early days of acid house and the explosion of rave culture. Known for his eclectic taste and refusal to be boxed into one style, Holloway remains an important link between Ibiza’s formative years and the foundations of today’s global dance music scene.

Sasha - a 1990 holiday that led to a Ku booking from Alan, taking inspiration from the Ibiza residents and those epic Space sets06 May 202600:24:56

Sasha is one of the most influential DJs to emerge from the UK, known for his genre-blending sets and role in shaping progressive house and modern club culture. Rising through the late 80s and early 90s, he built a reputation for musical storytelling and technical precision, becoming a key figure in the evolution of long-form DJ sets.

His Ibiza story began in 1990, arriving on the island with records in hand on the off chance of landing a set. After Alan Warman received a Sasha mixtape, he booked him for Manic Mondays at Ku. On that trip, Sasha encountered resident DJs playing records he’d never heard before, inspiring him to expand his sound and embrace a wide mix of genres - a defining influence on his future style.

DJ Pippi "I first DJ'd at Pacha on March 9th, 1984, I will never forget that date"13 May 202600:25:31

Giuseppe Nuzzo, better known as DJ Pippi, first came to Ibiza on holiday in 1979 and instantly fell in love with both the island and Pacha. Returning every year, he would bring mixtapes for the club’s owners, brothers Ricardo and Piti Urgell. In 1984, they tracked him down at his clothing and record shop in Germany and invited him to become a resident DJ at Pacha that summer. Pippi’s first DJ set at the club took place on March 9, 1984 - a date he says he will never forget.

Aaron Ross - from mailing out DJ promos to discovering and managing global artist Jonas Blue 22 May 202600:25:10

Aaron Ross is a music industry executive and founder of Infinite Future Management, with more than 25 years’ experience across A&R, radio, artist development and management. He began his career at Virgin Records during the late 1990s, working within the label’s dance division VC Recordings at a time when artists including Massive Attack, The Chemical Brothers and Daft Punk were reshaping electronic music culture. He later held senior promotion and A&R roles with Ministry of Sound, Defected Records and the relaunched Strictly Rhythm.

In 2012, Ross founded Infinite Future Management, transitioning into artist management and helping guide the global breakthrough of Jonas Blue. Since then, he has developed a respected international roster spanning electronic and alternative music including TCTS, Chaney, Audio Bullys and Melon Bomb whilst working along the way with Roger Sanchez, Sandy Rivera and Kenny 'Dope' Gonzales.

Ulises Braun - from Studio 54 to Ibiza icon10 Jun 202600:36:37

Ulises Braun has been part of Ibiza’s club culture since first arriving on the island in 1979, inspired by the energy of legendary venues including Studio 54 in New York and Le Palace in Paris. After opening an Amnesia boutique in 1984, he became deeply embedded in Ibiza nightlife, eventually taking on a major promotional role at the iconic club throughout the 1990s.

Over the following decades, Ulises helped build Ibiza’s international reputation through his Sleepless Nights and Ibiza Reunion parties across Europe, while working with venues and brands including Pacha, El Divino, MTV Ibiza, W Ibiza, Club Chinois and Beachouse. A respected ambassador of Ibiza culture, he received a Lifetime Award at the Swiss Night Life Awards and remains one of the island’s most recognisable and enduring nightlife figures.
