The new TOP500 list of the most powerful supercomputers was released today at the ISC conference, with a surprising new system in the top spot.  After nearly a decade of staying on the sidelines, China re-entered the race with the first system to exceed 2 exaflops in 64-bits on the HPL benchmark.  As usual, Shahin and Doug go through the list and the stats with their commentary and analysis, looking at key takeaways, how continents, companies, and architectures fare, and they cover HPL, Green500, HPL-MxP, and HPCG.
