Holiday Break

vendredi 3 décembre 2021Durée 00:45

We wanted to jump on to wish everyone a Happy Holiday season. Producer Peter is officially a dad and we thought what better time to wrap up this season than now! I want to thank you all for listening to a show about clothes, during a time where wearing pants have been optional.

This show celebrates style and the people who take the time to dress with intention. If it wasn’t for your downloads each and every week we wouldn’t be able to do what we do. We hope to see you back here in the new year but until then stay safe and stay stylish. Thank you!

Ep. 36 - The Style Professor

jeudi 23 septembre 2021Durée 47:26

On this week's episode, I speak with The Style Professor (@The.Style.Professor). His Instagram page is a collage of different outfits he’s worn for various occasions and settings often with drink in hand and rarely without cufflinks. He is also the curator of another popular Instagram page called Ralph Lauren Style (@Ralph.Lauren.Style) which acts as a visual archive of things made by polo Ralph Lauren.    Today on the show I chat with The Style Professor about how his style has changed over the years, his thoughts on building a wardrobe, and where this interest in style originally came from.

Ep. 35 - Ethan M. Wong

jeudi 16 septembre 2021Durée 01:06:46

My guest this week is Ethan M. Wong (@EthanMWong). Ethan is a photographer, podcaster, video game professional, and above all a menswear enthusiast. Ep. 34 - Mats Wallin

Saison 2 · Épisode 34

jeudi 9 septembre 2021Durée 45:46

On the podcast this week, we speak with Mats Wallin (@when_in_stockholm), a creative director at an advertising agency based in Stockholm, Sweden.    I discovered Mats while pursuing Instagram for great men’s style and found a couple outfits on his brad new account. His stark white hair and Mad Men inspired aesthetic instantly attracted me to his page and I wanted to learn more about the man behind the gram.    Today on the show I chat with Mats about his initial interest in clothes, his thoughts on a well curated wardrobe, and what inspired him to start posting his outfits on Instagram.

Ep. 33 - Matt Hranek, Founder/Editor of Wm Brown Magazine

Saison 2 · Épisode 1

vendredi 3 septembre 2021Durée 46:15

Our first guest of season 2 of the How I Suit Up podcast is Matt Hranek, founder and editor of Wm Brown Magazine (@wmbrownproject). Matt is a multifaceted individual, having been a published author, editor, part-time photographer, and occasional television host.    As you may have guessed, Matt is one stylish guy. A glance at his Instagram page often features him wearing an exceptionally tailored suit, a classic car, a piece of meat, and of course, a negroni. Both his feed and magazine are an aspirational vision board for life; and what I admire most about Matt is how he transports his audience into his well-curated universe.    Today on the show I chat with Matt about his earliest interest in clothes, his thoughts on the future of menswear, and why he needs people to stop asking him what to wear.

See You in September

vendredi 30 juillet 2021Durée 01:13

This week I wanted to chat you with you about the future of the show. For the month of August, we will be taking some time to recharge, refresh, and refuel before we resume in September for season two of the show.   On top of that I will be designing the Mr. Cavaliere Fall/Winter 2021 Lookbook collection and need some time to explore cloth and put my designer hat on.   One question that we have asked every single one of our guests thus far is what will men's style look like in a post-Covid world. The answer is is up in the air and the debates have been interesting to say the least. My hope is that we all get to enjoy the clothes we love with the people we care about as soon as possible.   As you know I started the pod to celebrate mens style as well as to learn the lessons and hear the stories from the world most stylish people. That said 32 episodes in and we’ve learnt about what works and doesn’t work and how to bring a much better experience to you the listener.    We can’t wait to show you what we have in store. so until then enjoy your summer and  I will see you in September.

jeudi 22 juillet 2021Durée 54:15

On this week's episode, I chat with Nick Wooster (@NickWooster). Nick is a self proclaimed Free Agent and one of the unintentional forefathers of the hashtag menswear movement. Nick is a 35+ year fashion executive that has worked for the likes of Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Calvin Klein, Polo Ralph Lauren, and Thom Browne just to name a few.  It wasn’t until he caught the attention of street style photographers that Nick gained global notoriety. His distinctive style, steel grey hair, and colourful tattoos have amassed Nick with just under 1 million Instagram followers as well as thousands of brands begging for the Wooster signature of approval. Today on the show I chat with Nick about his earliest interest in clothes, his thoughts on the future of menswear, and some tips on expressing your creativity through uniformity

On this week's episode, I speak with Chayanne Muñoz (@ChayanneMunoz). Chayanne is a custom menswear professional based in Miami, Florida. His job is to guide men looking for suits while improving their style and personal appearance.    Chayanne rocks pleats like no one else, mixing modern menswear with classic style, leaving a look to admire. What I love most about Chayanne's style is how impeccably everything drapes off his 6 foot 4 physique. Today on the show I chat with Chayanne about his approach to dressing a client, his thoughts on the future of menswear, and some tips on adding some tailoring to your wardrobe.

Soon after that, he started a styling agency which ultimately led him into the lead tailoring role at a little-known company called J. Lindenberg. His most recent project is a Youtube channel called Style & Stories Studio which he gives a quick and engaging menswear history lesson. Today on the show I chat with Lalle about his design philosophy, a couple of pieces all guys should have, and some of his personal style icons.
