Hope Powell - Former Manager of the Women's England Football Team

Hope Powell is currently Technical Director of the Women's football team at Birmingham City and the former manager of the women's England football team from 1998 to 2013. In her earlier career she also played for the national team appearing over 60 times and scoring over 30 goals. She has also managed Brighton & Hove Albion Women and coached the Great Britain women's football team at the London 2012 Olympic games. She received an OBE in 2002 a CBE in 2010, and in 2003 she was the second woman to be inducted into the English Football Hall of Fame for her services to football.

In 2025 he was also awarded the Freeman of the City of London.

In 2013 she was named Best Female Newcomer at the Black Comedy Awards and in 2018 she joined the likes of Katherine Ryan, Andi Osho, and Sarah Millican when she was crowned Funny Women Champion. She has gone on to appear on Live at The Apollo, Mock the Week, Alma's Not Normal, Eastenders (all BBC), and The Duchess (Netflix). In August 2025 she will be taking her show to Edinburgh.
