Arizona's own Jerry Krull won this month's $100 Joke Contest and joined us live on our YouTube channel to share the sauce on how he did it.

Although new to stand-up, Jerry has years of experience and training on comedy writing and his set is a prime example of that.

His 3 step process to writing his winning set is:

1. Start with free writing

2. Edit out fluff words

3. Organize into jokes

During the interview, Jerry estimates he did this process 30-40 times in order to generate a tight 90 seconds of material.
