Biohacking Your Cycle & Balancing Blood Sugar | with Caitlin Cipriano05 Nov 202400:57:00

Today, we are talking with Caitlin Cipriano. Caitlin lives in Vermont with her husband, two littles, and their two dogs. She is a graduate of Logan University's Nutrition and Human Performance program and a Certified Perinatal Nutritionist. Her mission is to help women nourish so that they can flourish from conception all the way through postpartum.

I have been really excited to share this episode with you all because I am so passionate about this topic. Caitlin and I talk about all things cycle-syncing (aka my favorite form of biohacking) as well as the importance of blood sugar regulation. I truly believe these are two of the most important concepts to understand when it comes to fertility and hormone health. Whether you are TTC, currently pregnant, or just looking to learn more about your body, you have landed in the right place. I promise you are going to walk away with so much information that you can literally implement today to majorly improve your health.

Tongue Ties & Breastfeeding 101 | with Sarah O'Rourke, IBCLC05 Nov 202400:40:23

Today, we are talking with Sarah O’Rourke. Sarah is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and mom of two. She owns a private practice called Milk and Honey Breastfeeding Services located in Travelers Rest, SC and also offers virtual care worldwide. Sarah specializes in prenatal care and oral ties, which is why I was so thrilled to have her on for this conversation.

In the episode, we start by talking about common hindrances in the early postpartum and how we can prepare prenatally for a successful breastfeeding experience. But then we really get into the meat and potatoes in our conversation about tongue ties. Sarah helps to clarify misinformation around oral ties, including identifying the difference between functional and anatomical ties, which should not necessarily be treated in the same way. We get into why bodywork is so important and why revisions are often overprescribed. My hope is that this conversation equips you with the tools you need to make the best decisions for your baby and your family when it comes to breastfeeding.

Childhood Vaccines & Informed Medical Decisions | Just the Inserts24 Jun 202501:20:21

If the thought of diving into the topic of childhood vaccines makes your chest tighten or your brain want to check out altogether… you’re not alone.

In this episode, I am chatting with special guest Alexandra Galaska of Just The Inserts about childhood vaccines & informed consent.

Alexandra has been featured on Culture Apothecary, Redpill Your Healthcast, and is trusted by over 200,000 families for a reason—she leads with facts, not fear. Alexandra is also a mother whose world changed after her child’s adverse reaction to a routine vaccine. This is not another fear-based, doom-scroll-inducing conversation. It’s a grounded, calm, evidence-based discussion designed to help you feel clear, informed, and supported in making the choices that feel right for your family.

In the episode, Caley and I discuss all things predatory formula marketing, how the rise of combo-feeding is setting up breastfeeding moms to struggle unnecessarily, co-sleeping and more. We also discuss an initiative called the Radical Moms Union and how they are working to end deceptive marketing from formula companies. This episode is a little spicy, so I hope you aren’t easily offended!

Grief & Pregnancy | with Taylor Kirkbride27 May 202501:25:22

Today, we are back with Taylor Kirkbride, who you may remember from our Prenatal and Postpartum Nourishment episodes. After experiencing the loss of numerous friends and family members, including her brother, who was her closest friend and confidant, Taylor decided to take a deep dive into her grief and learn how to fully experience and   honor it. This led to her passion for supporting mothers, which she now does as a postpartum chef and doula.

In the episode, Taylor and I discuss a vast array of complex topics surrounding grief, pregnancy, divorce and even abortion. If you are in a sensitive place in your pregnancy or feel triggered by these topics, you may want to skip this episode; however, for those of you who choose to listen, I hope you feel seen and heard in your own grief experiences, and can take away some practical advice for supporting others around you who may be experiencing hardship.

You can find Taylor on Instagram @let.it.grow.doula or her website, letitgrowdoula.com!
