I mostly looked into this because of the new movie but ended up having a lot of fun. If anyone knows the best way to watch all these old movies let me know.
This was a lot of fun to look up. I do think I'll do epodes on the snoopy holiday specials at some point. I'll leave my resources here along with a link to my discord channel. Please let me know what topics you want to hear about.

Like I mentioned I took a brake for a few reasons. I got sick, I was busy with other projects and I also wasn't sure if I should make anything related to the studios that where getting striked. I feeling better and now that the strikes are over I want to release more episodes again. I started a discord server so please join and we can talk about animation history. I would love to know what you all want to learn more about.
This was super interesting to look into. I had no idea that they had a union until now. I do hope that they gain some power and they improve the working conditions. We need artist to be happy and healthy so that they can make great art for us to enjoy.
It does seem that the VFX team behind the marvel movies has voted to unionize. I defiantly would have mentioned that in this episode but I had already finished it before I heard. I wish them the best of luck.
Dynamation is basically CGI before CGI was a thing. It was limited but it is truly amazing what they where able to make with it and there was no one better then Ray Harryhausen.
I will admit that this episode did go a bit more into Osamu Tezuka than Astro Boy. I was just really impressed by his work and wanted to make sure that everyone knows about it. If you want to watch the first episode of Astro Boy there is a link to it in my resources. Let me know if there is anything you want me to do an episode on.
His career in animation was short but impactful so I really wanted to do an episode on him. I mention this a few times in the podcast but again if you ever get a chance to see his art then please check it out. It's amazing.
This technique of animation is very important to it's history. I am sure that many animated films could never have been made with out it. So that is why I decided to make an episode dedicated to it. Here are some resources if you want to learn more.
This is an episode dedicated to the first woman to work at Disney. Sadly most of her work goes uncredited so many don't know about her. Here are some resources if you want to learn more about her amazing story.
This is an episode about the first animated film ever made. I wish we could see this film. I know that we would likely not understand it at all since it is about politics in Argentina that are over 100 years old but still. I am including links to my resources in case anyone wants to learn more.
I feel like he is a bit different then most of the other people I have covered. Still really interesting. Not many people can claim they changed a machine of war to one of art.
This is the second episode of the History of Animation. I decided to make this one about one of the most important pieces of technology in the history of the medium. Here are some links if you want to learn more. This is one that I wish I could show a picture of since to me it's easier to understand if you can see it in action.
This is the first episode of the History of Animation. I decided to start off with one of the earliest animators. He invented techniques for animation that are still used to this day. I am including some links to the resources I used for this episode. If you want to learn more please check them out.
The best way to look more into these would be to buy the book but if you can't afford to there are plenty of places online that give their own explanations.
Iwerks is a very important figure at Disney. It kind of sucks that his most famous accomplishments are credited to Walt Disney but at least now you all will know.
