Triggers #8512 Mar 202600:04:11

When I first started trying to manage my histamine intolerance, I did what almost everyone does.

Triggers aren't all about food.

I hope you find this podcast useful, and you can find more details on the free histamine training here

Minerals #8414 Oct 202500:07:15

Minerals and histamine intolerance on the podcast today.

Minerals are the hidden driver of hydration, energy, sleep and recovery... and most of us are running low.

Mineral expert Caroline Alan, co-founder of BEAM Minerals, explains how fulvic and humic complexes restore balance at the cellular level.

This went out on my main podcast Biohacking News by Zestology and had such a huge reaction I wanted to post the histamine-specific parts here.

New Year #6301 Jan 202400:04:23

Happy New Year.

I hope you had a wonderful festive period and you aren't feeling too sluggish.

I wouldn't be surprised if you do though - all that high histamine food and drink over Christmas takes its toll.

Getting back into the routine is worth it both for your body and mind.

Now that it's the new year, let's refocus on our health. And I've got just the thing to help you do that.

I'm focusing on welcoming the new intake to The 14-day Low-Histamine Challenge next week.

It's a lot of fun, and we focus on the three pillars of diet, stress and sleep. ✅

Research #6025 Oct 202300:04:04

Stress and histamine are often linked, so remember to focus on this area as well as diet, supplements and so on.

Stress can have a significant impact on how you feel both mentally and physically, as research has found that histamine issues have all sorts of mental and brain impacts. I'm diving into this at the moment as I write my latest book.

For example; "dysfunction of the histamine system may underlie some forms of apathy", and "a potentially critical player in the pathology of depression, histamine".

Pizza #5726 Apr 202300:04:15

Today on the podcast you'll hear a little of my personal story.

When I was 18 years old, I was lucky enough to travel to Italy and live there for six months. But I also wonder if my time spent in Italy was the start of my histamine troubles.

I ate pizza and drank beer. That's it. Every day. Pizza washed down with beer. Okay, occasionally a starter of pasta appeared before the pizzas, but it was mainly pepperoni pizza and beer.

Listen in for more!

Skin #5420 Feb 202300:06:42

Ever since I can remember I've had hives. Unattractive bumps on hands and feet from histamine intolerance.

But recently, they've gone away…

Here I detail how I did it and resolved my skin and histamine issues.

Stress #5313 Feb 202300:05:51

Stress and histamine are often linked, so remember to focus on this area as well as diet, supplements and so on.

Personally I find when I manage my stress levels better, my histamine levels come down significantly.

Currently, as you'll hear, I'm by the beach, and my stress levels are super low. So are my symptoms. This area is especially relevant when it comes to histamine intolerance I think.

Have you noticed a link between stress and histamine?

Leftovers #5115 Nov 202200:05:02

What leftovers are good leftovers when you are histamine intolerant?

I have done one podcast before on leftovers, and then recently had some questions about histamine intolerance and leftovers and so here are the answers to those specific questions.

BEFORE YOU GO:

Up to 15% of people suffer from histamine intolerance and may not know it. Please don't suffer unnecessarily. If you think that is you, then follow hundreds of others and take my Masterclass. I guide you through the low-histamine maze, and we put a particular focus on learning about all the different foods that will help you heal. Sure, I eat less avocado these days (sad times), but I feel so much better than I used to.

"Healthy?" #4819 Oct 202200:04:06

I thought I would do a post on normally "healthy foods" to avoid with histamine intolerance

Listen to this and then consider whether your histamine symptoms would be helped by cutting these foods out.

Sparkling #4713 Oct 202200:04:36

I was amazed to discover that many people in this crazy histamine world react to sparkling water.

I live on San Pellegrino and it suits me really well. But I recently ran a question on my story on here and it seemed pretty evenly split 50/50.

So here's a podcast about histamine intolerance and water...

In no particular order...

Histamine Intolerance sufferers will recognise some of these.

Toxaprevent #4229 Jul 202200:04:01

Toxins #4115 Jul 202200:04:16

Sometimes you have to read the small print... 🧐

I've been posting about something quite weird in my stories.

My new shorts have pemethrin in them (an insecticide) 😱.

I didn't know when I bought them. But then I looked a bit closer at the label.

"This textile contains a biocidal product with anti-insect properties. Active ingredient: Permethrin. May produce an allergic reaction."

Yup. You can say that again. When I wear them I don't feel so well.

What are your thoughts on insecticides like pemethrin, pesticides and other toxins being absorbed through the skin?

PS - I asked @craghoppers for my money back but they said no 😥

Coffee #4014 Jun 202200:04:51

I‎ get so many questions about coffee - so here's another coffee podcast.

Snacks #3907 Jun 202200:04:22

I recently completed a big hike (Yorkshire 3 Peaks - 39km in a day, so much fun!).

I ate more than 5000 calories on the day so my low-histamine snack game needed to be good. As we know good low-histamine snacks are hard to come by.

So here are some of my favourites.

Dermatitis/Eczema #3831 May 202200:04:12

Histamine and skin issues go hand-in-hand.

If you are suffering from skin problems, definitely look at the jewellery you are wearing. When I took my wedding ring off, my symptoms get better almost instantly. So it must the the ring.⁣

What about you?⁣

Have you suffered this problem?⁣

Any advice for the rest of us. I've been promising my wife I"ll get a tattoo of a ring instead - she's not that keen!🤣⁣⁣

Practitioners #3505 May 202200:04:53

Since I founded this podcast and site the one thing people have asked me about more than anything else is...

Where can you find experts who really understand histamine intolerance?

I've been there myself. It's tough. Many practitioners simply don't understand it properly. After all, it is a complex condition.

Now, though, I may be able to help. Listen on for more details, or click here to team up with one of the world's top Naturopathic Nutritional Therapist for histamine intolerance to provide 1-to-1 coaching.
