**40th Episode** - Since September 30th 2025!

After 5 and a half months of making you listen to chat about life the universe and everything, I have taken the decision to reduce the number of episodes per week to one. I am hoping this will improve the content and enable me to work on other podcasts and be effective.

This episode is produced from a nice brisk walk to walk through Hillyfields and Forty Hall, past a few unsuspecting dog walkers who looked at me weirdly.

London Bridges from Hammersmith to Tower.

The mission was clear, I had to cross all the bridges between the above names, either on foot or by bike in the daytime. Now, full disclosure, this is not the most beautifully sonic experience. It's noisey and windy in parts and a long episode. Totally worth a listen though.

I was inspired by a video I saw on youtube of a cyclist who took her coffee out with her in a flask on a winter ride. I left my bike at work so I walked instead. This was a good opportunity to do this whilst Lucas is away.

Recorded from my sofa as I feel very sorry for myself with a stinking cold.Due to be sickly, I haven't been out to hike or perform the school run, hence no podcast. I didn't want to leave you hanging. I have looked into a few things of interest and some I have left by accident, I really need to write this stuff down but then the spontaneity of the concept is lost and it becomes contrived.

Another 'hikenpod' crossover...

This episode is the 'SO I' show. I started every section with that phrase, I have done my best to cut that out of the final recording.

This episode I walk from Stratford Olympic park to Moorgate station (regrettably) via Westminster bridge along the south bank.

There were a number of firsts for this journal thankfully, that made a rich experience. There was rum, noodles, bridges, friendly couples, rain and 18 miles.

This time west to east, with a little help from the trains. I travelled to Alexandra Palace and set about walking the old train route to Archway. Seeing some sights along the way.

Fresh from a central London walk around Tower bridge into the west end. I went out today and walked the Woodland walk in an unimaginative way. It was muddy and wet but not too cold. I think I have outlined that I need to push the envelope now and not cover areas I have been. I seem to be visiting the same spots time and time again. This defeats the object of the journal series.
