If you are wondering about the dove statistic mentioned in the podcast, we looked it up. It is from a 2011 study stating that in the US, hunters harvest 14.5 million doves. It is estimated that between 8.8 and 15 million doves die annually from lead poisoning. You can find this article on the American Bird Conservancy website titled “Dove Hunters Asked to Consider… Nontoxic Shot…”.

Cook Wild Rice 1:3 Rice to Water
Rinse 2-3 times
Simmer covered
Poach breast covered in broth and thyme
