Ep 346: From Gender Confusion to Freedom in Christ: Rebecca Massengale's Story
Saison 24 · Épisode 346
samedi 20 juin 2026 • Durée 01:01:58
Shanda sits down with Rebecca Massengale to discuss her journey from identity confusion, addiction, same-sex attraction, and spiritual darkness to finding lasting freedom and purpose in Jesus Christ.
Rebecca shares how God pursued her through years of brokenness, the lies she once believed about herself, and the biblical truths that transformed her life. We also discuss how Christians can faithfully engage with those in the LGBTQ community with both truth and compassion, why discipleship is essential for lasting transformation, and how the church can better minister to those struggling with identity and sexuality.
Whether you're personally wrestling with these issues, have a loved one who identifies as LGBTQ, or simply want to better understand how to navigate these conversations biblically, this episode offers hope, wisdom, and practical guidance.

Ep 345: Is Self-Love Biblical? The Self-Love Conversation Christians Need to Have
Saison 24 · Épisode 345
samedi 13 juin 2026 • Durée 01:09:12
Is self-love biblical? After discovering a surprising verse in Proverbs 19:8, Shanda takes a deep dive into what Scripture really says about loving yourself. In a culture that constantly tells us to prioritize self-love, self-care, and self-acceptance, Christians must ask whether these messages align with God's Word.
In this episode, Shanda explores the difference between cultural self-love and biblical wisdom, examines passages often used to support self-love, discusses how theologians have understood the concept throughout church history, and explains why Scripture consistently points us toward loving God first. You'll also hear a special Father's Day reflection as Shanda shares personal stories about her dad and the vital role fathers play in the lives of their children.
If you've ever wondered whether self-love belongs in the Christian life—or if there's a better biblical framework for thinking about identity, purpose, and love—this episode is for you.

Ep 336: Life After Life: What Happens When We Die? | with Philip DeCourcy
Saison 23 · Épisode 236
samedi 11 avril 2026 • Durée 54:43
What happens when we die—and are we truly prepared for what comes next?
In this episode, I sit down with Pastor Philip DeCourcy to discuss his book Life After Life and the biblical reality of eternity. Together, we explore what Scripture teaches about heaven, hell, judgment, and the eternal destiny of every soul.
In a culture that avoids the topic of death or redefines it through feelings and speculation, this conversation brings clarity, truth, and urgency. Philip helps us think biblically about what lies beyond this life and why what we believe now matters forever.
We also talk about common misconceptions, the danger of cultural narratives about the afterlife, and how a right understanding of eternity should shape the way we live today.
This episode will challenge you to examine your beliefs, anchor your hope in truth, and consider the most important question of all: Are you ready for eternity?

Ep 246: Reading the Bible wrong, working for righteousness, and the book of Philippians
Saison 20 · Épisode 246
samedi 13 juillet 2024 • Durée 54:54
There is a wrong way to read the Bible, which means there is a right way to read the Bible. Today, we are using the book of Philippians to show how to use the 5 W's and an H strategy to "til the ground" before reading any book of the Bible. We'll also look at Dr. Frank Turek's S.T.O.P. method for Bible study, and why the strategies you learned in elementary school are all you need to understand how to interpret your bible.

Ep. 244: Is a prayer closet biblical? How do you know when God is speaking to you?
Saison 20 · Épisode 244
samedi 29 juin 2024 • Durée 41:47
The phrase "prayer closet" is uttered by many in the church and because it is we think it must be biblical. That's the power of repetition. But is going into your prayer closet and quieting your mind the avenue in which God speaks? Is that what Jesus meant when He said, "go into your closet and pray"? (Matt 6:6)
Shanda answers the following questions to help us understand how to hear from God:
- What does the Bible say about a prayer closet?
- What does the Bible say about hearing God's voice.
- Is sitting in silence and listening for God's voice biblical?
This is a listener requested episode and if you have a question you want Shanda to answer, send it to hello@shandafulbright.com.

Ep 242 Christianity isn't supposed to be comfortable
Saison 20 · Épisode 242
samedi 15 juin 2024 • Durée 43:24
Last month, a young Haitian missionary couple were killed in the field. A lot of people condemned them for being in a dangerous country where their lives were at risk, saying they had no business being there. The real question is: is Christianity comfortable? Are we supposed to pick and choose where to take the gospel as long as it's safe and we know it won't cost us anything? Shanda discusses the core of Christianity and why looking for comfortable Christiantiy is dangerous. We look at missionaries who gave their lives for the sake of Christ as well as what Paul said in his epistle to the churches about his own missionary journeys. This episode is both encouraging and convicting as we push past our comfort zone into the uncharted territory of uncomfortable Christianity.

Ep 241 My conversation with the Faithiest Atheist with Richard Suttles
Saison 20 · Épisode 241
samedi 8 juin 2024 • Durée 51:21
Why do people arrive at their beliefs? Richard Suttles, otherwise known as The Faithiest Atheist, is here to discuss the importance of having civil conversations with people who don't think and believe like you. His background in counter-terrorism has led him to see there are only two steps in taking beliefs to a dangerous level. We discuss what those are and why it's important to be passionate about what you believe, yet balance it with mutual respect. We also discuss his "ministry" and why some atheists might not want him in their club.
