The One With The Man: An Outlander Music Bracket16 Jun 202301:00:39
Outlander returns to Starz this Friday, 6/16 and thus we return to your feeds from our similarly haphazard and only vaguely explicable hiatus. Now we know you all have heard our feelings about Outlander since we basically haven't published any other shows since the last season, so we decided we'd switch it up this time and once again attempt to teach Kirstie how brackets work to determine the best Outlander Theme Song. We've got greatest hits such as Scotland (Penny Whistle's Version), The One With The Man, and many others. Join us for a surprise plot twist that no one but Kelsey (and anyone who saw the seeds for the bracket) saw coming, and find out which Outlander Theme Song is the One True Theme song.
Love Again Trailer (We're All Coming Back To You Now)17 Feb 202300:41:16
Thanks to the music and influence of Celine Dion we are returning to your feeds at long last! After waiting actual years, we've been blessed with TWO trailers for the Sam Heughan - Pryanka Chopra - Celine Dion romantic comedy Love Again and we are READY folks. We'll be back in earnest later this spring but in the meantime please enjoy this bonus ep!
A Castle for Christmas and Christmas at Castle Hart03 Jan 202200:49:26
This episode was meant to be your Christmas week content but new year same us so we're ushering 2022 with the last of our Hatewatch Holidays 2021 content. We've got face blindness, knitting vigilantes, and a brief visit from our best Hallmark friend Lacey. Stay tuned for our favorite new year traditions, Awards and Pilot Palooza!
Game of Themes25 Apr 201901:04:38
As a member of society, you may or may not be subject to this dark time in television, as Game of Thrones is back on television and winter is here. We are dutifully recapping Game of Thrones over at our other podcast, Our Watch Has Ended, but in the interest of Alternative Content, we are here today to recommend content that scratches Game of Thrones' various itches. We cover themes such as Strong Sexual Content, Violence, House/Palace Intrigue, Unlikable Characters, and more! Find out which show we labled as the Hatewatch Superbowl, see how we justify talking about our faves for the millionth time in a new context, listen to Kirstie and Kelsey congratulate each other repeatedly for accomplishing the goal of episode format, and revel in the moment when Kirstie has to tell Kelsey she was right. From Westeros to Aldovia, there's some beef stew for everyone in this episode y'all.
Our Watch Has Ended: The First Official Episode, Bleed for the Brands13 Apr 201900:57:48
It's the first NEW episode of our NEW PODCAST, Our Watch Has Ended: A Game Of Thrones Hatewatch. You can subscribe at our new feed by searching for Our Watch Has Ended anywhere you find podcasts! Subscribe there for weekly episodes all through season 8! It's been two years, but we are back at it with our favorite garbage show! Don't gaslight us about great houses, it's been a long time! As the hype builds, so do the brand partnerships, so we wanted to take a minute to talk about some of the crazy ways HBO has licensed Game of Thrones to trick you into BLEEDING FOR THE BRANDS. We discuss Oreo, Shake Shack, the American Red Cross, Mountain Dew, Urban Decay, Love Pop, Rolling Pins, Johnny Walker, and Spotify. How many houses are there? How do you fit a house on a cookie? Are we in Snowdonia? We are back on our bullshit, bringing the HOT LOOKS and HOT TAKES and dear god are we ready for this season to be over. Use the hashtag #hatewatchGOT to watch along with us! This episode is only about licensing deals and has no spoilers (in theory, but who knows?)
Jane the Virgin and Abby's02 Apr 201901:00:56
This week we are two hosts who are feeling confident about what we have prepared for you: two shows that have names, a show that gives us feelings and a show that doesn't, and a rundown of the ways our heros have failed us. We watched Jane the Virgin and the new Mike Schur show Abby's. We've got an episode of our Everwood Podcast Within the Podcast, a lot to say about narrative stakes, and some broad and varied hot takes on television pilots. Jane the Virgin spoilers end around 37-38 minutes. Don't forget to subscribe to our new podcast, Our Watch Has Ended, for all of your Game of Thrones content!
Return to Cottage Life UK: Cabins in the Wild and House Doctor27 Mar 201901:15:07
We're revisiting our favorite network in our hearts this week and have found some gems from Netflix's selection of Cottage Life UK content. However, we don't visit Netflix without generating a few gripes, and we have A LOT OF THEM because Netflix has unjustly removed Canadian Cottage Life from their offering. Once we get over our feelings about that (and begin our letter writing campaign), we meet our new friends Dick Strawbridge and Willie Fedora over at Cabins in the Wild. This segment includes Dragon themed cabins, live reports from Snowdonia National Park, and everybody's favorite time - Kirstie and Kelsey google some things about pioneer life. Then we move on to House Doctor (how can I help?), where we meet yet another bag of dicks, Grumpy Old Dickie. We learn a lot about rooms with a point of view and our point of view is that this show is a disaster. This episode wraps up with a discussion of the maple syrup grading system, so don't miss that. Happy sugaring season, y'all! Don't forget to check out our new Game of Thrones recap podcast, Our Watch Has Ended, wherever you're listening to this podcast!
The Night Shift and Manifest14 Mar 201901:01:01
This week, we're judging NBC and their choices in the drama category from the past few years. First, we're talking about two buuuckwild episodes of The Night Shift, a summer medical/military drama that just did a lot of things badly. Next up is Manifest, a disaster drama that's also very bad and features heavy amounts of Jesus. But never fear! We have some unexpected Jane the Virgin feels and even more unexpected TREATS, so make sure to stick around til the end.
Legends of Tomorrow and Everwood05 Mar 201900:48:21
Thanks to a listener suggestion, we spend this week's episode down a rabbit hole known as the WB Then and Now, Pilot Palooza Bonus Round, Make Kirstie Watch An Everwood, or The Greg Berlanti Factor. We bring you in depth reporting such as show runner horoscopes, Comics vs RomComs, and Legends of Eurovision. Kirstie says "tonality" a lot so you know it has to be good! Then we finally talk about Kelsey's heart and soul, Everwood. Doc Brown comes to comfort us, and we sling some Hot Hallmark Takes and argue about Schitt's Creek. Like any small town, this episode has a lot of heart. Stay tuned for an announcement about our new project, pending the resolution of our endless struggle against A Major Podcast Distributer!
Sweet Home Alabama and Sitcom Living Rooms28 Feb 201901:05:39
It's a real grab bag of hatewatch nostalgia this week! Fate leads us to revisit Kirstie's "favorite romcom of all time," Sweet Home Alabama, and we have some thoughts about low rise flare jeans and jokes that make us uncomfortable in 2019. After a brief discussion about novelty Instagram belts we have a chat about the living rooms of sitcoms, because nobody likes a high end finish like Hatewatch With Us. Come for True American, the safety version, stay for... a teaser of our new side project? Stay tuned for more details coming soon! We're members of the Thought Bubble Audio Network. Tidying Up with Marie Kondo and A Winter Princess12 Feb 201901:12:59
Before we begin this episode, let's take a moment to greet the podcast home. You know what that means: it's finally time to talk Tidying Up with Marie Kondo. Spark joy with us on this adventure as Kirstie spends the entire segment masterfully avoiding admitting that she's wrong about how many steps there are in the KonMari method. Then we move on to kimono, which is actually just the Hallmark Channel. We discovered A Winter Princess (Winter for Princess? The Winter of Princess?) and we are here to tell you that it is a delight. Hallmark really phones it in in the wake of Hallmark Christmas, giving us the gift of our favorite fake European country name of all time. So tune in for that big reveal, and if it sparks joy for you, consider entering us in the Sam Heughan Charity Crossfit contest! https://www.omaze.com/experiences/sam-heughan-date-night We're members of the Thought Bubble Audio Network. Pilot Palooza 201805 Feb 201901:26:03
It's that time of year where we look at the television landscape, put on our best White Savior Doctor lab coats and say, "How can I help?" We entered our third Pilot Palooza with a lot of hopes and dreams, and as it turned out nothing was our shit. After getting our squirrel on with this year's batch of shows, we may just need a montage to Coldplay's Fix You or a time machine. We watched New Amsterdam, Timeless, Glow, Sharp Objects, Vida, Killing Eve, and checked in briefly with Last Man Standing, play a quick round of Hot Or Tall, talk about a lot of other shows we would have rather been watching that weren't on the list, and nominate this year's Downward Dog because as always our heros have failed us. Let us know if there are any pilots we missed in 2018, and let us know throughout 2019 what shows you'll want us to watch! If you liked Pilot Palooza you still have two more weeks to enter us in the Sam Heughan Charity Crossfit Contest! https://www.omaze.com/experiences/sam-heughan-date-night We're members of the Thought Bubble Audio Network. A Princess For Christmas (RERELEASE)22 Dec 202100:28:47
As far as Christmas magic goes, there's nothing quite as magical as Sam Heughan's tight white pants in the 2011 timeless classic, A Princess for Christmas (Christmas for Princess? who's to say?). Today we're bringing you a rerelease of our of 2018 episode about this fine film. Enjoy!
Bind Off: Outlander Season 428 Jan 201900:53:34
Like the mustache on a young hero's face or the thunder in one's pants, we have arrived once again at the end of another season of Outlander. Join us as we trade our gloats and gripes for the season and try to come to terms with challenging ideas such as actual human emotions, facial expressions, drawing, and sad tent sex. Joy was sparked, rage was raged, and the Strong Sexual Content was the Actually Just Normal Feelings We Felt About Sam Heughan's Face along the way. If you want to see us follow up on the very important Outlander thesis presented in this episode, enter us in the Sam Heughan Charity Crossfit Contest this holiday season: https://www.omaze.com/experiences/sam-heughan-date-night Pilot Palooza coming next week, we swear! The 2018 Really F*cking Good Television Awards Show (For Nice People Only) 16 Jan 201901:17:02
We survived post-holiday laziness, a laggy connection, poor editing choices, and the flu to get this episode out there to y’all, but we finally did it! We’re wrapping up 2018 with everybody’s favorite awards show, The Really F%cking Good Television Awards Show (For Nice People Only). Highlights include an in-depth discussion of our DVR romance, Kelsey’s Target boner, the reveal of Mr. Hot Or Tall 2018, and some sneaky little Eurovision easter eggs. The Christmas Chronicles and A Christmas Prince 2: The Royal Wedding19 Dec 201801:14:05
Y'all better buckle up because drunk Santa is driving this podcast sleigh this week. In this very special episode of Netflix, What Have You Done? Christmas Edition, we're airing our grievances about The Christmas Chronicles and A Christmas Prince 2: The Royal Wedding. But it's not just DTF Santa and Aldovian wedding planning over here at Hatewatch HQ. Somehow, this episode takes us from Chris Columbus The Entity to JC Chasez's discography, desperate pleas to Ron Moore, and even a very special Hugh Grant deep cut (Hugh, where were you in Mamma Mia 2: Here We Go Again!????). Pride, Prejudice, and Mistletoe and A Shoe Addict's Christmas11 Dec 201801:00:38
It's our last installment of Hatewatch Hallmark before moving on to the endless bounty of off-brand Christmas movies, so we are coming in hot this week. We start with the sequel to our Outlander Store Dot Com special: A Novice's Guide to Destiny Dice and honestly we feel this should have been its own segment because it had way more to offer than either of the films we watched. We then move on to Pride, Prejudice, and Mistletoe where we had a lot of questions about our stock options next fiscal year. Before long we are visited by the Ghost of Jean Smart Past, Future, and Present, and were transported to A Shoe Addict's Christmas where Kelsey bestowed upon us the gift of her Candance impression and ERHMERHGERD did we dig up an old ass meme. If you too would like to redo your past in answer to your calling from God by your guardian angel Jean Smart, enter us in the Sam Heughan Charity Crossfit Contest this holiday season: https://www.omaze.com/experiences/sam-heughan-date-night We're members of the Thought Bubble Audio Network. Road to Christmas and Christmas In Evergreen: Letters to Santa04 Dec 201801:00:23
It's #HatewatchHallmark Vermont week! We watch Road to Christmas, where Kirstie learns how to identify a Chad Michael Murray in the wild, then it's like Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again! all over again as we revisit our favorite town with an inexplicable Christmas theme in Christmas in Evergreen: Letters to Santa. Ok, it's not quite as good as Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again!, but what could be? We chat about the specific boundaries we want Hallmark to push, Kirstie references male romantic leads as "the guy... the love guy," and we even get some good old fashioned tchotchke ponzi schemes. If you're reading this, Santa, consider this our letter, and enter us in the Sam Heughan Charity Crossfit Contest this holiday season: https://www.omaze.com/experiences/sam-heughan-date-night We're members of the Thought Bubble Audio Network. Christmas At Pemberley Manor and Princess Switch27 Nov 201801:23:28
Its the most wonderful time of the year, #HatewatchHallmark 2018! We are kicking off the season with Hallmark's Christmas at Pemberley Manor, which features a breakdown of Hallmark's many adaptive failures of classic literature, a few jokes at the expense of Gen Z, the rollout of our new Christmas Hatewatch Bingo and plenty of printed emails. Then we move on to our favorite segment-within-a-segment with Netflix, What Have You Done? This time, Netflix has done A Princess Switch (formerly a Christmas Switch), and we travel to Belgragenovaldovia to shout about identity theft, transference, pureeing fruit, and bad accents. Come for the Parent Trap references, stay for the Generic Fictional European Country Eurovision Team draft picks. Also, if you like the show, don't forget to enter us in the Sam Heughan Charity Crossfit Contest! 25 entries will start a printed-email letter writing campaign to Hallmark and/or the creation of the Generic Fictional European Country Name Generator! TV Weddings and Outlander Store Dot Com21 Nov 201801:10:49
We're going back to the archives this week with an episode we recorded when we "hadn't talked about Outlander in a while" (what?). Kirstie also drinks one 5.2% ABV beer, so get hype. We kick things off with a discussion of TV wedding tropes, and Kelsey tries desperately to get Kirstie to believe in television romance yet again. Then, we decide it's time to ruin the Outlander fandom's fun and visit OutlanderStore.com, a truly wild place. That's right folks - they've got shower curtains, pocket standees, $500 replica gear - and we're here to bring you hard hitting reporting on all of it. Spoiler alert: Kirstie buys Kelsey half of OutlanderStore.com for her birthday. Also, if you like the show, don't forget to enter us in the Sam Heughan Charity Crossfit Contest! Hallmark Christmas Preview and Little Italy17 Oct 201801:03:37
This week's episode is a testiment to women who have it all and the compromises they have to make, such as finding the time to record an entire episode in one sitting. In our first recording session we bring you your favorite segment, Listen to Kirstie and Kelsey Google, and react in real time to the 2018 Hallmark Christmas movie lineup. There are several hot titles we're looking forward to including apperances from at least one Candace. In our second recording, we bring you the Film That Was promised: Little Italy. We beg you, do not watch this movie but do listen to this segment because we've got bespoke rooftop garden lamps, organic pizza dreams, taking shots while playing sexy rain soccer, wet armpit make outs, The Best Pizza Competition, and lots of premade dough. We may not have it all together, but together we have it all. We're members of the Thought Bubble Audio Network. Hatewatch Holiday: COLUMBUS DAY 201810 Oct 201801:10:56
It's time for one of our favorite Hatewatch Holidays: Christopher Columbus Day! We carry on the Hatewatch tradition of spending some time with the first two Harry Potter films. This year it's Chamber of Secrets and while we have a lot of gripes about the adaptive choices Chris Columbus made, it turned out we had a lot of gripes with JK Rowling, Ginny Weasley, and the romcoms our generation was promised. Then we discuss the 1995 film Nine Months, a nice and accidental tie in from recent events from Hatewatch Nation. Chris Columbus gets back on his bullshit, Hugh Grant is a dweeb, and y'all get the birth story you never asked for. After all, the big childbirth scene is every actresses dream??? The plot really thickens when we find cause to give thanks to Chris Columbus, which brings a whole new meaning to Columbus Day. We're members of the Thought Bubble Audio Network. Return from Hiatus and Netflix, What Have You Done?02 Oct 201800:57:05
This week we are taking you through the hole in the fabric of space-time, back 5 weeks to our first attempt at returning from hiatus. It was a simpler time when Kirstie was getting a lot less sleep and watching a lot more TV, and Kelsey was living her best RomCom life. First we discussed all the TV Kirstie watched on maternity leave, including the gringiness of 90s sitcoms, the argument for the 30 minute sitcom as a format, and Kirstie admitting she was right to lose the great Brooklyn 99 Fight of 2018. Then we have a rare opportunity to put a positive spin on everyone's favorite segment, Netflix, What Have You Done? With a pep in our step and sheer delight in our mics, we review the Netflix RomCom To All The Boys I loved Before, as well as praising the platform for their contributions to the RomCom Renaissance. For the second week in a row, we're glad to be back! We're members of the Thought Bubble Audio Network. The Emmys and Ready Player One25 Sep 201801:02:07
WE'RE READY!!!!! Lol get it? We're back from hiatus with content timely and not at all timely. First, Kelsey takes one for th team and reprots back on watching this year's Emmys. Honestly, we could have probably stayed on hiatus for this one. Then we're bringing you Ready Player One in all its white-male-Star-Wars-Prequels-CGI mediocrity. We have a drinking game and complaints aplenty. Did you miss us? Cuz we sure missed you more than we would have missed this movie had it never been made. We're working on new content so watch your feeds!! We're members of the Thought Bubble Audio Network. Find us at: www.thoughtbubbleaudio.com @thoughtbubblefm www.hatewatchwithus.com @hatewatchwithus
Adventures in Summer Reality TV28 Aug 201800:54:42
This week, we're checking in from hiatus with a very special guest - the good and great Frank Ramblings from Beer With Geeks, Supergirl TV Talk, and more! We're here to bring you some quality field reporting on the summer reality TV landscape, a place that many of us love and many more of us fear. First up, Frank makes Kelsey watch Bachelor In Paradise, which includes a giant stuffed puppy murder and a truly impressive bird impression. Then, we're on to Making It - better known as The Great British Craft Off - because who isn't here for a delightful Pawnee reunion that involves felt? Thanks to Frank for coming by to hatewatch this week! We're members of the Thought Bubble Audio Network. Find us at: www.thoughtbubbleaudio.com @thoughtbubblefm www.hatewatchwithus.com @hatewatchwithus Special Guest: Frank Ramblings.
Things We Refuse to Watch and Regrettable Hobbies31 Jul 201800:54:55
Even though we're on semi-hiatus, we're still here bringing you spicy hot new content! Actually, this content is very old, and we're just bad at editing these days. This week's episode pulls from our favorite grab bag, the one that Pop Culture Happy Hour fans unknowingly created for us. First, we get into things we refuse to watch, and we learn that Kirstie has beef about content that people love too deeply. Then, we talk about regrettable hobbies, which turns out to be a regrettable segment topic too. But we make the best of it and spend most of our time discussing puzzles. Be sure to stick around after we say goodbye to catch Kelsey's best/worst Freudian slip of 2018! We're members of the Thought Bubble Audio Network. Find us at: www.thoughtbubbleaudio.com @thoughtbubblefm www.hatewatchwithus.com @hatewatchwithus
Arrested Development and Little Italy02 Jul 201801:05:52
Back when we recorded this, we were so relevant and ready for our cultural moment. But then the internet betrayed us and thus we were lost to time much like the two time-warping topics we have for you this week. First, we talk about the new season of Arrested Development, our feelings about mid-2000s political satire, and we put all the men in rice. Then, we take a deep dive into the highly anticipated new romcom, Little Italy, staring Emma Roberts and notorious Anti-Sand advocate Hayden Christensen. We write some off-season hallmark fanfiction, explore Hayden Christensen's biography and escape to the farm. We're members of the Thought Bubble Audio Network. Find us at: www.thoughtbubbleaudio.com @thoughtbubblefm www.hatewatchwithus.com @hatewatchwithus
The Americans and Fast Food Talk20 Jun 201801:06:23
We're a little late but still celebrating Kelsey's week of content delight and talking about The Americans' series finale. Then, we borrow an idea from PCHH fan requests and discuss fast food restaurants. Kirstie has some advice for road trippers and throws (undeserved) shade at the 99. Other highlights include an important Grand Designs red alert and a Perd Hapley appearance. We're members of the Thought Bubble Audio Network. Nerducation Redeux: Kelsey Watched A Star War06 Jun 201800:58:59
There's another Star War in theaters which means its time for another Hatewatch. This time its Kelsey who DELIGHTEDLY takes one for the team by seeing SOLO: A Star Wars Story and bringing back a whole universe of feelings, thesis ideas, and attractive disasters. Listen as she makes bold proclomations about space hijinx, the RomCom, space sex, Han Solo Lite, Sam Heughan in Space, and declares yet another unpopular Star War as HER Star War. We're also sure to rehash old favorites like Kelsey Wants Everyone To Bone, some cheap digs at the Daves, shipflags and Outlander feels. Whether or not this is YOUR Star War, it will be your hatewatch. We're members of the Thought Bubble Audio Network. Find us at: www.thoughtbubbleaudio.com @thoughtbubblefm www.hatewatchwithus.com
The One With More Eurovision30 May 201800:43:41
This week, we're revisiting Eurovision 2018 and talking about the semifinalists, because we just can't get enough Eurovision here on Hatewatch With Us. You're in for a lot of middling, forgettable songs, and Kelsey drinking juuust enough wine to make sweeping promises about her editing capabilities. We also promised a link! So here's that... Nine Kittens of Christmas and Next Stop Christmas20 Dec 202101:04:08
It's the most Hatewatchable Time of the Year - Hatewatch Christmas 2021 is well underway and this week we are coming in hot with two entries from Hallmark full of time travel, cats, and infrastructure galore. First it's the Nine Kittens of Christmas, a movie where not much happens except a venue for our annual debate about the merits of Hallmark fucking. Next is Next Stop Christmas, and folks Hallmark had no right making this film just for us. If you like trains, time travel, and dunking on New England this has got it all.
Rule No.3 and The Brooklyn 99 Blame Game22 May 201800:57:01
If you're looking for more jokes about ship flags, you've come to the right place. This episode begins with an adventure into Scrabble content that goes to a real weird place. Then, we have a fight complete with media criticism trash talk about Brooklyn Nine-Nine, NBC's Schur-a-palooza, and lazy viewing. Netflix, What Have You Done: When We First Met and Series of Unfortunate Events25 Apr 201801:04:01
The theme of this episode is Netflix, What Have You Done? But it also could have been Soda, What Have You Done? Sweet Tea, What Have You Done? IMDB Pro, What Have You Done? We BYOB two Netflix originals. Kelsey watched the Netflix Original RomCom When We First Met and her algorithms will never be the same. We learn about IMDB and all the different ways you can tag panties. Then, Kirstie reveals a shocking plot twist: Netflix, What Have You Done can have positive connotations! We discuss the Series of Unfortunate Events, Kirstie's unbridled joy over television adaptations and dark stories for children. It's a bumpy episode for Netflix, Kirstie's knowledge of actor's names, movies of the mid 2000s and our understanding of the fundamental question, Netflix, What Have You Done? Alex Inc and Podcast TV12 Apr 201801:00:29
Everyone's favorite Tuesday-Adjacent podcast is back to get a little meta as we talk about podcasts becoming tv shows and tv shows about podcasts trying to become podcasts companies......or something. We start with the new Zack Braff show Alex Inc., where we struggle with our feelings about Zack Braff, teenage magicians, family comedies, and 401Ks. Get the sco op on the upcoming Hatewatch With Us adaptation including episode synopses, the dream cast, and other hot details. Then we move on to discussing the idea of adapting podcasts into television. We ponder deep questions like which podcasts are television worthy, what podcasts would we hate to watch, and play our favorite game Listen to Kirstie and Kelsey Google. Our main take away was Zack Braff isn't great, ABC needs to stay in their lane, and Roman Mars and Kevin McCloud should face off in a competitive reality show. Send in your pitch package for the Hatewatch With Us TV Adaptation! Best one gets pitched to Hulu. We're members of the Thought Bubble Audio Network. The good news about this episode is that the Outlander Omnibus is back! The bad news? We promise you two segments but only deliver on one! We promise, it’s actually kind of worth it. We’ll force our feelings upon you, talk about memorable moments and crying at TV, and shout our favorite catchphrase a whole bunch. If we failed to mention your favorite thing about Outlander, tell us at @hatewatchwithus! We're members of the Thought Bubble Audio Network. Secret Shopper and Weekend Aristocrats27 Mar 201801:12:03
This week we bring you a gift of pure delight. Two shows full of field trips, lessons learned, and throwbacks to other classic hatewatches. We call this, "Cottage Life, UK". First, we bring you Mary Portus, Secret Shopper, where we visit a bridal shop and eat some coleslaw sandwiches. Kelsey finds out trains exist, Mary Portus' origin story is revealed, Kirstie learns vocabulary and we find ourselves trying to navigate some messily told character stories. Then we transition to Weekend Aristocrats, a show about rich white men and their endless fear of plebs. Kelsey gets to relive the show vicariously through this episode, from peacocks to divorces. Come for the Halloween, stay for the tough conversations about socioeconomic inequality and generational aristocracy. We're members of the Thought Bubble Audio Network. Outlander Omnibus: Je Suis Prest for the Men of Outlander23 Mar 201801:23:47
Something strange happened with this episode, as if it fell through the stones at Cragh na dun and got lost for a few days before finding its way back to these, our modern times. Or at least that’s the story we’re going with to explain why this episode is late. This time on the Outlander Omnibus, we’re talking MEN, specifically men we want to bone, more specifically, Jamie. We spend some time objectifying everybody’s favorite fantasy husband, then we expand to discuss the rest of Outlander’s men. Kirstie has some latent feelings about turtlenecks again, and we wrap it all up with the legendary Hatewatch segment, listen to us Google a thing. JE SUIS PREST! Reality TV BYOB and The Oscars...Kind Of14 Mar 201801:07:29
Nothing says content rut like forgetting what both of your segments were and deciding on them by accident. This week we're bringing back a good old fashion BYOB with Glam Masters and Skin Wars. We discuss weird reality TV tropes, compare elimination techniques, and gush about Great British Bake Off. Then we bring you a segment a week behind popular culture, and discuss our feelings about this year's Oscars. Specifically, why we didn't watch this year's Oscars and why we aren't more interested in movies in general. Kirstie and Kelsey go on a first date, we go down memory lane with some of our best childhood field trips, and we meet our Third Chair. It's a big, silly episode and we're not mad about it. Second Act (Dad Month)30 Nov 202100:42:12
Much like Jennifer Lopez arriving in her corporate apartment after a plot twist in her journey to become a manager without a college degree, we are smashing expectations by extending Dad Month two months later than originally scheduled and arriving at the start of the Hatewatch Holiday season with a surprising touch of the holiday spirit. As Treat Dad once famously said in this film, "that was some crazy shit!". We promised you a Mom entry into Dad Month and that will still be coming but likely in January, so stay tuned because, much like adopted mothers and daughters being reunited inexplicably in the middle of a romcom, more crazy shit is yet to come!
Outlander Omnibus: Outlander, An American Girl Story and Sorting Outlander07 Mar 201801:01:53
The time has finally come friends! The Outlander Omnibus has arrived and we are the most hype. First, we introduce you to our unconventional take on the show, Outlander: An American Girl Story. We cover all the hits like Meet Claire! Claire Learns A Lesson! Claire Saves The Day! Claire Makes A Friend! It's a costume drama steeped in historical moments but for Adults (and the occasional Ebay Seller?)! Then, we go a different adaptive route and try our hand at Sorting the characters of Outlander. Find out who the Surprise Slytherin is, which family is most likely to produce Gryffindors, ponder with us why there weren't more Ravenclaws, and appreciate the strength of the Hufflepuff representation. There's truly something for everyone in this episode even if you don't like time travel or pagans! We're members of the Thought Bubble Audio Network. Bachelor Winter Games and A Princess For Christmas27 Feb 201800:59:47
Listen DingleDorks, don't let the name of this episode scare you. It may say Christmas up there but we're really just talking about questionably constructed romances and Sam Heughan's Thighs. We're starting off in the Motherland with Bachelor Winter Games and Kelsey's very first introduction to Bachelor Nation. We have a lot of feelings about Vermont, Chris Harrison's lowkey racism, and Canadians who don't know how to ski. Then, we begin with the Prequel to our Outlander Omnibus with A Princess for Christmas. Good news, it was never really about Christmas. Bad news, we did still watch this movie. Come for the objectification of Sam Heughan's body, stay for the jokes about tight pants and Buffalo. Next week we're coming in hot with all the Outlander content we've been promising you for months, so consider this your warm up episode. We sure did. Brojects and Martha & Snoop's Potluck Dinner Party20 Feb 201800:52:09
The red thread of this week's topics is chicken wings, so it's bound to be a good one. First, we're revisiting our friends at Cottage Life Network, where we spend some time in Nova Scotia tracking lobsters through the woods with our one true handy brother duo on Brojects. Then, we learn just how metal Martha Stewart is on Martha & Snoop's Potluck Dinner Party. Come for the pot puns, stay for the sensible household tips about splatter guards.
