A rogue attacker is wandering the streets of Poplar giving the neighborhood a fright. A mother could have spared her daughter a world of trauma and pain if she weren't so stuck up on reputation. Cynthia has a really bad time of it, too. But hey, at least Patsy and Delia are getting laid in a nunnery.

Trixie spirals into depression as her alcoholism gets out of hand and she breaks her engagement with Tom, which Barbara has the unfortunate task of putting up with the casual misogyny and sexism that was par for the course of the day.

A real sad time for the gays in this episode, and it makes you appreciate all the hard earned rights we have today (you know, the ones we should have had all along!). Warning: Our hosts get wicked drunk because they for some reason agreed to take a shot whenever Patsy sighs despondently from being queer and has to deal with those insufferable heteros. A past fling comes back to emotionally torment Sister Julienne. God is the only man in her life, thank you very much! And Sister Winnifred just... exists? What is the point of her, really? And of course the ever wonderfully Welsh Delia finally enters the conversation as she makes her first appearance on the show, solidifying the rumors that Patsy is, indeed, a big fat homo.
