Dr. Leah Taylor is an Integrative Mental Health Specialist, Healer, and Embodiment Mentor who combines ancient healing techniques with cutting-edge science to help you let go of stress, overwhelm, and struggle to open up to and embody your highest and brightest self. She has a PhD in Mind-Body Medicine and a Master’s in Somatic Psychology and is passionate about researching, speaking about, and teaching live music and movement as medicine. She is the founder and creator of Embodied Groove, an interactive movement experience designed to enhance the benefits of live music and raise the vibe at every show. In this episode, Dr. Leah and Taraleigh talk with musician and singer/songwriter Liz Bills about her evocative ways of delivering healing and transformation through music and collaborative performance. Liz shares her own journey with mental health, chronic pain, and sobriety, and how her music has evolved to facilitate more healing experiences along the way. Liz describes how she sees herself as a “nervous system tuner” as a musician and how she focuses on creating co-regulation through live music. In the “Did you Know” Dr. Leah explains what nervous system regulation means and how it can be done through co-regulation with another person or through self-regulation on one’s own. Taraleigh gives listeners a couple of techniques to use for self-regulation in the “Daily Jam.” 


Liz Bills is known for her entrancing high energy performances and emotionally charged power vocals, passionate and honest in her songwriting and stage presence; Liz is unapologetically brave yet incredibly vulnerable and real. Taking you on a wild ride that is intoxicatingly sweet and dangerously ferocious.

In this episode, Dr. Leah and Taraleigh talk with sound healer and former recording artist Melinda Kinzie about the power of sound for healing and transformation. Melinda shares her journey from recording artist living the rockstar life in New York City to transformative sound healer vibing out in nature in Vermont. Melinda discusses two powerful laws of the Universe, entrainment and resonance, and helps build a bridge between what could be happening at the concerts we love and the sound healing she does with individuals and groups. For the “Did you Know” Dr. Leah shares how entrainment relates to the concept of self-other merging discussed in previous episodes and other ways entrainment can be seen throughout history. Taraleigh encourages listeners to employ the principles of entrainment and resonance to help raise your vibe so you can raise the vibe wherever you are for the “Daily Jam.” 


Melinda Kinzie has been a student of energy medicine and spirituality her whole life. She grew up in the mountains of Vermont and later lived in NYC for 20 years working as a recording and performance artist. With over 30 years of training in transformational work, she has most recently completed a rigorous 3 year study of Sound Healing & Shamanism with Zacciah Blackburn at the Center of Light, 2 years of Aura Soma Color Therapy training & is currently training with Anaiya Sophia in the Sacred Temple Arts of the Holy Sophia.

In this episode, Dr. Leah and Taraleigh chat with Vibe Tender Karen the Dancing Lady who is on a mission to spring love and light wherever she goes. She especially loves to do this through dancing to live music. Karen just recently, in the last 6 years or so, rediscovered her love for live music and now uses it to fuel her vibes so she can raise the vibe wherever she is. Karen also shares her holistic morning practice that aligns her with love and light each day. The three explore Karen’s journey of using live music as a practice solely for her own health and wellbeing to now inspiring others with her energy. Also discussed is how through societal norms, we can remain stuck in our perceived “box” and how freeing breaking out of that can be! For the “Did you Know” Dr. Leah shares exciting new research on the transformative power of festivals. Taraleigh gives listeners a tip for allowing yourself to “dance outside of the box” for the “Daily Jam.” 


Karen the Dancing Lady is a flowing, grooving energetic embodiment of love and light. She lights the day wherever she is - as a Lyft driver, ski lift operator, Vibe Tender for events or doing what she loves most - dancing to live music. She’s a dynamic public speaker with the ability to meet and see individuals where they are at and guide them to greater joy. When she’s not in service to others or dancing she loves to cook, host gatherings, and experience nature.

Also mentioned in the discussion is the healing power of breath and other ways to regulate our nervous systems. Dr. Leah breaks down why deep breathing is so effective in bringing about focus and calm for the “Did you Know.” Taraleigh gives listeners a tip for connecting with the healing power of music every day for the “Daily Jam.”

Annabel has been with Cloud 9 Adventures, producers of international live music events, since 2003 and can be found welcoming guests during a toast on stage, dancing through the crowd, and flying like a hummingbird behind the scenes making things happen. When she’s not galivanting around the Caribbean on Jam Cruise, Panic en la Playa and other destination concert events or working at Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, she’s trail running or hiking with her golden retriever, skiing at Mary Jane and Eldora trying to get her 10-year old daughter and husband (who snowboards, let’s not judge him) to keep up with her, or seeing as much live music as possible. Annabel makes the best of this short time on earth and is beyond grateful for such a beautiful life.
