| The Six Things Grief Taught Me | 05 Aug 2026 | 00:53:39 | |
We're kicking off Good Grief with the episode Amanda has wanted to make for six years - and it's the one closest to her heart. In this solo premiere, Amanda opens up about losing her husband, Nick Cordero, at 41 after a 95-day battle with COVID, and what it's really meant to grieve him while becoming a mom, moving across the country, and starting over in Los Angeles.
We talk a lot about grief being heavy - but Amanda's here to make the case that grief can also be good. Over the past six years, she's gone from hating grief and pushing it away, to calling it her roommate, and eventually, her friend.
This isn't a podcast about staying stuck in sadness. It's about building a community where we can laugh, ask questions, stay curious, and find joy again - together. Every episode will open with a question from you, our community, answered from two perspectives.
Grief is love. And if love is beautiful, maybe grief can be too.

| Divorce, Miscarriage, and Reinventing Your Life with Anna Kloots | 12 Aug 2026 | 01:11:03 | |
In this episode of Good Grief, we sit down with my sister Anna Kloots for one of the most honest conversations we've had. Anna is a writer and travel influencer known for her blog Travel Outside The Box and her book My Own Magic, and she's spent the last few years rebuilding her life more than once- first through a devastating divorce that sent her all the way to Paris to start over, and more recently through the heartbreak of a miscarriage.
We talk about how our parents shaped the way we process emotion, why Anna's therapy session revealing her ex-husband wanted a divorce became one of the most traumatic moments of her life, and what gave her the courage to move to Paris with five suitcases and not a single person she knew. We also get into the grief no one prepares you for - miscarriage - and the well-meaning but painful comments Anna received afterward, plus what actually helped her get through it: writing, walking, and simply being acknowledged.
This conversation is proof that grief doesn't just knock you down - it can force you to rebuild a life you didn't even know you wanted.
