Johanna was born in Medellin, Colombia, she started modeling at fourteen-years-old for local Publications and later was signed by "Select Models EC".

She graduated with a degree in Business Administration and Commercial Management. She began traveling around Latin America doing photo shoots for brands like (UrbeBikini). Later, she moved to Ecuador where she began working with brands such as (Fogo, Sukasa, ParqueDelDeporte) and later appeared in sketches of EnchufeTv.

Performed small roles in limited tv/internet series, later on, she moved to United States and got a role in Betty in NY.

Joanna is a Venezuelan-American comedian, writer and actor who gained popularity through her videos on YouTube and as head-writer/talent on Univision's digital platform "Flama" As a TV writer, Joanna has worked for shows in Netflix, Disney and HBO Max. 

Her work won her "Best Comedian" and "Creator of the Year" in Hispanicize's 2016 Tecla awards.  She was also honored by the National Hispanic Media Coalition with the 2018 award for “Best Online Storyteller.” She was also named one of Hola! Magazines “Top 100 Latina Powerhouses” in 2022.
