For those of you who aren’t on IG or Facebook, I have been taking a little bit of mental health time for myself, which means that sometimes there are eps, and sometimes there aren’t. I know, I know, as a listener this can be annoying. I appreciate you sticking around; this won’t be forever. In the meantime, I decided to choose a few of my favorite episodes of yore to share back to the feed. This one today is episode 27, aka the first time Nora and I ever SPOKE, ever conversed, ever met (via Zoom), ever crossed each other’s paths. It is so rare that you record your first ever interaction with someone who ends up becoming FAMILY to you. At the time of recording that episode in 2020 we could not have known what life held for both of us (syncing up our IBS, for one). I could literally cry and I often do. ENJOY, and know that I miss you and I look forward to lighting up the pod waves again soon. _____________ MAY 2020: Nora McInerny is hot and tall and hysterical and she joins us today because I am trying to be her third husband. I have maybe never laughed harder in my life as we recorded this and Nora is a woman who has made a living out of talking about grief. Many of you told me Nora was a national treasure. Many of you...are correct. Nora and I discuss literally who can even say, because I blacked out while recording this and all I remember is cackling for over an hour! Her product pick is a good antidote to the airpod life, and I am starting to suspect all of the best authors are working out before they sit down to write, which means I will never write another book again. It was fun to see how many different answers there were (we’ve done ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY FIVE EPISODES!!) but it was also hilarious to see so many of the same episodes be requested again and again. Ep 148: Trapper? She's a Keeper! is one such oft-requested episode and it’s not from that long ago! Sally and I recorded this about back-to-school vibes. As we transition (HOPEFULLY) from winter to spring, I like to think there’s a nice back-to-school vibe about that, too. ENJOY, and know that I miss you and I look forward to lighting up the podwaves again soon. _______ AUGUST 2022: Back to school season is here and we think it’s kind of unfair that as 30 and 40-somethings who are not, in fact, going back to school, we don’t get to participate. So we spent a bunch of time trying to convince ourselves that purchasing a vintage Trapper Keeper is actually a productive purchase. Points are made. Trapper Keepers are purchased. But not the ones that are on sale for $200+ (WTF???).

I am nervous to share with you that we’re talking about car things again.
I think this makes three episodes where car things have come up, but Sally is going on a Road Trip (capitalization for formality) in October and we thought it was appropriate to bring up some car things. But I know Gee Thanks-heads who are loyal listeners will be like “REALLY, CAR GARBAGES AGAIN, CAROLINE?” but look, we don’t go through life CHOOSING our passions, okay? We are born this way. Or at least, I am.
But I do bring up some new ideas like a food eating sweatshirt. The Real John Max will be helping me patent. Don’t even try!

But she does own a Victorian house, and she just Gucci wallpapered her entryway (and it’s not tacky even though it sounds SO tacky! Hi Ashley!). She has a great story about finding $$$$$$ chairs on Facebook Marketplace, and she doesn’t know what’s inside the walls of her old-ass home (because she doesn’t want to know, okay?).
