If you love pulled pork products, but hate kids playing Marco Polo in the pool, then grab your sash and tiara and let's go to Mount Rose Minnesota for the incredibly brilliant and groundbreaking look at small-town pageants: DROP DEAD GORGEOUS

#29 THE QUEEN
Saison 1 · Épisode 29
vendredi 16 juillet 2021 • Durée 55:44
In episode twenty-nine of Gay Card Revoked, Rob and Robbie go back to 1968 and watch the visceral and campy Drag Queen beauty pageant of 1967, The Queen, which is a lesser appreciated piece of LGBTQIA+ cinema.
The boys look at the gay life before Stonewall, drag culture as a community foundation, the life or death stakes of a blonde fall, and an epic takedown by Crystal LaBeija, are all the beautiful little nuggets that make up this film that has been eclipsed by Paris Is Burning and RuPaul's Drag Race. And without Flawless Sabrina and Crystal LaBeija there might not have ever been a prominent drag culture at all!
