Kelly flagged up  the  uncomfortableness for parents in showbiz   to say no to work, but really does time matter ? and while some celebs like to portray that they didn't have to make a choice between work or having a family,  is it time for  honesty from high profile mums about how they achieve their  work/ kid balance ? and lots of snot out laughter as usual , stick on the kettle, unload the dishwasher  its a nice short one !

Gemma Beagley is Hatty's regular co- host and friend  ( unless she's busy or has no interest in the topic) she's a stand up comic  ( unofficial these days ) but was the founder of the very long running Comedy Virgin club at the Cavendish Arms in London where you will often find her mcing and drinking tea .A power house single mum of one  to a know it all 8 year old  boy, and  head of finance  at the Soho Theatre.

A special episode recorded live via streaming as part of the Leicester Comedy Festival in association with Next Up Comedy . Host Hatty Ashdown is joined by Gemma Beagley , Athena Kugblenu and Viv Groskop as well as a live zoom audience ! They talk ways to keep happy in lockdown and is it easier for comedians ? There's singing, finding amusement in annoying your partner , Masked Singer, event TV and sexy TV keeping us going . And for one of us lockdown has worked out very well . For our Mums on TV series Hatty & Gemma are  joined by Actress Tanya Moodie -  Motherland , Star wars, Discovery of Witches and Olivier nominated . Tanya joined the hit BBC  comedy  about mums in its second series and this year picked up a RTS award for best break through artist for her role as Meg. This was such a fun high octane chat we all needed -  They discussed takeaway choices/ dealing with envy / success / boobs, breast feeding and  blow drying. Inspiration for Meg, and how  amenity is important and her favourite TV mum. 

At the end  Tanya gives a lovely dedication to  the late Polystyrene from Xray Spex , this song is not played on the podcast version of the show .

Host Hatty Ashdown co- wrote and created The sitcom Give out Girls on Comedy Central. Before she was a geriatric mum of two wild boys she presented  for the BBC and channel 4. She has interviewed and vox popped the likes of Lou Reed, James Brown , Alan Carr, Dani Minogue, The cast of Shamless, and many more.  She acts too and you will see her pop up on many TV adverts from Pizza Hut, Boots, Fridge raiders and coming soon Heinz . She is a  regular on the UK stand up scene and is curranty working towards a new hour show she plans to take to the Edinburgh fringe in 2022.

Gemma Beagley is Hatty's regular co- host and friend  ( unless she's busy or has no interest in the topic) she's a stand up comic  ( unofficial these days ) but was the founder of the very long running Comedy Virgin club at the Cavendish Arms in London where you will often find her mcing and drinking tea .A power house single mum of one  to a know it all 8 year old  boy, and  head of finance  at the Soho Theatre.
