S6 EP4: FREEDOM in Texas // Pray for Human Trafficking25 Feb 202600:18:56

In this powerful prayer-centered episode, Ruth Paton Willett, Prayer Coordinator for Freedom Challenge, invites us to respond to the issue of human trafficking God’s way — through worship, prayer, and obedient action.

Drawing from 2 Chronicles 20, Ruth reminds us that while the battle against injustice is real, the battle belongs to the Lord. As women across Texas prepare to walk, pray, and raise awareness through Freedom Challenge, this episode calls listeners to “gaze on God and glance at the battle,” trusting Him to fight while we take faithful steps forward.

Together, we pray for:

  • The state of Texas to become a place of peace on every side
  • Victims of trafficking to find safety, healing, and restoration
  • Hearts of traffickers to be transformed
  • Churches and communities to wake up to God’s call to justice
  • Strength and endurance for those working on the front lines

Whether you are hiking, praying, giving, or simply learning how to respond, this episode will encourage you to stand firm, worship boldly, and trust God to bring freedom where darkness once ruled.

S6 EP3: Intercede for the Vulnerable: A Prayer for Thailand Mission Trip09 Feb 202600:23:29

In this prayer-focused episode, we invite you into a sacred space of intercession for Thailand—specifically Pattaya, often known as the unofficial sex tourism capital of the world.

Ruth and Alyse, Freedom Challenge team members leading our mission trip to Thailand, reflect on the realities facing women, men, and children in vulnerable situations, especially in the aftermath of COVID and the increased desperation fueling exploitation.

This episode is not about information alone—it is an invitation to cry out. To groan. To intercede. To see people not as labels, but as sons and daughters deeply loved by God.

Together, we pray for:

  • Women exploited in the sex industry
  • Men caught in cycles of brokenness and demand
  • A Freedom Challenge team of nine women preparing to travel to Thailand to help serve Tamar Center, a project we support
  • Organizations like Tamar Center working faithfully on the ground

We talk honestly about anger, grief, forgiveness, and justice—and how God invites us to pray with His heart and His authority.

As you listen, we encourage you to pause, pray, worship, and join us in standing in the gap.

Ep. 38: FREEDOM through a Multi-Generational Community, with Barbara Christensen and Drew Walsh04 May 202100:43:32

One of the best parts of the Freedom Challenge is the vibrancy of generational connections. This episode gives insight into how the intense environment of a challenge creates and strengthens relationships between older and younger women. Women leave the events with life-long friendships they wouldn’t of pursued without this experience, and mothers and daughters who participate together build a stronger bond.

Excerpts from the episode:
"We had one woman on the team who was certainly several decades older than a group of us young girls. I remember we were gleaning wisdom from her the entire time asking about her marriage, asking about her family, her life, the way that she lived and the decision she made." - Drew Walsh

"What I remember most was the help and the tender care, being almost 73 and feeling a little bit wobbly and in some cases a fall risk, of the two [younger] women coming alongside to help me cross a river. That that was an encouragement to me and a fond memory." - Barbara Christensen

Ep. 37: FREEDOM through Understanding Beauty, with Ruth Willett27 Apr 202100:37:04

What is beauty? Why is beauty important? How is beauty distorted? Listen to understand beauty through a new and impactful perspective. A bonus episode that we thought our beautiful listeners needed to hear!

"A strange thing to me is that God has not just been highlighting His beauty or general beauty but my beauty.  I said to Him, 'I'll believe you, but I don't understand why it matters.' To which He responded, 'If you don't think you are beautiful what does that make Me? You have been made to image Me.' As I pondered this, I realized just how much the enemy and this world has attacked beauty and love in general and my beauty and my love specifically." -Ruth Willett
