Ep -281: Late Night With The Devil & Immaculate.05 Apr 202401:40:58

In this episode, Jef, Josh and Brian decided to do a couple things they have not done in a while. First off they saw not one but two brand new horror films as they were released onto the big screens. Second they decided to do a single episode talking about both films just like they did in the old days when they were more stupid and Brian and Josh still had luscious heads full of hair. The FM3 starts off with "Late Night With the Devil" and then head to Rome to chat about "Immaculate"and finish it all off with some more talk about "Late Night With the Devil". It is a chonky ass episode but the Forever Midnight crew would deliver nothing less for thy Lord requires it. So sit back and please go watch these two new movies beforehand because the crew spoils the holy shit out of them!

Ep -280: Blood Quantum.29 Mar 202401:05:35

In this Episode the FM3 check out a handpicked horror movie by one of their Top Dawg Patrons! This time around the flick is the 2019 zombie romp "Blood Quantum" by the late Jeff Barnaby.  Yep, Jef, Josh and Brian watched yet another zombie movie, and although the guys are a little tired of them and there are some tropes that any and all zombie films fall into, the crew were excited to check out the zombie apocalypse thru the lense of indigenous folks and how things might be on a reservation in Canada when the living dead start rising. If you want to pick a movie for us to do an episode on head over to Patreon.com/forevermidnight.

Ep -279: Midnight Ramblers 3.21 Mar 202401:22:49

That's right Forever Midnight's very own Jef overn turned 40 and In what is becoming tradition,The guys had the birthday boy choose a flick for the crew to watch and talk about. Jef without hesitation chose the 1994 scary hairy wolfman movie "Wolf" starring Jack Nicholson as the titular WOOF!! The FM3 never realized how much they would enjoy seeing old Jackie boy with a couple fists full of short and curlies! This newer more modern take on the Wolfman story also stars Michelle Pfiefer and James Spader both literally chewing up their scenes, making this 90's movie monster installment one worth checking out. If only to see a wild ass revenge story featuring a wolfman with a receding hairline! ahhhwooooo!!!

Ep -277: Sugar Hill (1974).28 Feb 202400:55:56

In this episode the FM3 takes a trip back to 1974 to check out a little film called "Sugar Hill".  This voodoo zombie revenge flick stands alone in a sea full of blaxploitation and horror pictures. Although it's budget was modest and its modest actors were budget, this is one of those movies that even if you don't like it overall, it has a charm that sticks in you, like a needle poked into the head of a magical doll. You can't forget what you have seen, you won't forget what you have seen. There may not be actual sugar or candy at the top of this hill but there is a sweet ass supernatural showdown with Baron Samedi and his ping pong ball eyed minions coming for you!

Ep -276: Puppet Master.20 Feb 202401:15:23

In this episode Brian finally picks a beloved hairy horror classic for all you fine listeners!  That's right the FM3 are talking about the 1981 werewolf bonanza "The Howling"! While this film came out the same year as probably the most iconic werewolf flick it is quite a different "beast" to say the least. Sure it's also filled with crazy transformation vibes but it is also filled with sorta indie-cheap, sleazy weird vibes too! Jef, Josh and Brian have a blast talking about this one, so sit back - don your merkins and enjoy the soothing howls of the Forever Midnight Podcast!
Ep -273: Phenomena (Creepers).25 Jan 202401:23:42

In this episode the FM3 headed towards the more populated waters of horror and ended up in the poltergeist pit of Dario Argento's 1985 film "Phenomena" AKA "Creepers".  To their pleasant surprise there was a monkey acting a fool in this Argento Classic and they aren't talking about Donald Pleasence! This flick is filled with all kinds of wild stuff: insects, motorhead, freaky kids, decapitations, and trippy ass sleep walking dreamscapes - all to confuse and entice Jef, Josh and Brian into enjoying their time with it. Plus it has a monkey in it!!

Ep -272: The Day Of The Beast (El día de la bestia)17 Jan 202401:04:11

In this episode the FM3 got another top dawg Patreon pick, this time hailing all the way from Canada! One of Forever Midnight's wonderful patrons wanted the guys to check out Álex de la Iglesia's 1995 movie "The Day of the Beast'' (El día de la bestia). The guys went in pretty blind to this one and were pleasantly surprised by what awaited them...Satan, Sinning, and Psychedelics...Sounds like a party! So sit back, grab some popcorn and let the sin begin!

This movie is currently streaming on Tubi, Freevee and Screambox on Prime Video.

Ep -271: Last shift.10 Jan 202401:11:14

Is this episode one of the Top Dawg Forever Midnight Society members picked the poison for the FM3. This time around that poison was the independent haunted cop shop movie "Last Shift" from 2014. Apologies ahead of time - Trigger warnings include: Suicide, Police, boogers, Trump, Top Knot Buns, Charles Manson & Florida.

Ep -270: Shakma.01 Jan 202401:31:07

Happy New Year Wonderful listeners! Jef, Josh and Brian are kicking off 2024 right with some full on monkey business! That's right, the boys are talking about the 1990 animal exploitation/snoozefest "Shakma"! The promise of a possible hidden gem revolving around a bunch of college kids and Roddy Mcdowall larping and getting picked off by a crazy ass baboon was undeniable. However the FM3 were more than a little let down with this aptly overlooked 90's animal slasher. Help the Forever Midnight crew ring in the new year with this wild one, currently streaming on Tubi and Freevee!

Ep -269: Silent Night, Bloody Night.20 Dec 202301:11:12

Season's Greetings wonderful listeners! It is the time of year again that The FM3 go dumpster diving into Santa's dirty old Sack for another Xmas horror movie! This time around the crew decided on the proto-slasher to Black Christmas: "Silent Night, Bloody Night" from 1972! The Forever Midnight crew had hoped for a holiday hootenanny of a film with stockings filled with Christmas candy but instead got a weird wild tale about escaped mental patients and the wacky town they call home. We hope you enjoy this episode and wish you all a happy holiday and a fantastic new year!

Ep- 268: When Evil Lurks.12 Dec 202301:10:25

In this episode, Jef, Josh and Brian are back in the saddle with a brand new episode! Talking about the 2023 film out of Argentina "When Evil Lurks". This film was highly recommended and suggested to the FM3 by lots of you awesome listeners. So the crew decided to check it out,  and let's just say, The Director: Demián Rugna knows how to make a decent horror movie! If you have not watched this film yet, please consider checkin' it before listening, mainly because it is a good one and secondly because the guys will spoil it ALL!!!

(Trigger Warning for kids gettin' schmurked and doggie violence.) Enjoy!

Ep- 267: Witching And Bitching.29 Nov 202301:18:14

In this episode Jef, Josh and Brian are back with a poison that was picked by one of their awesome top tier Patrons from over at Patreon.com/Forevermidnight ! That poison is from the 2013 Spanish film Witching and Bitching (Las brujas de Zugarramurdi). The FM3 talk about the positives, the negatives and everything in between with this film, so be sure to watch it before you listen (so you can decide for yourself if you like it!). Also as a warning - The crew might talk about vegan mystery meats and Halloween for a little bit, so if you wanna skip that fast forward to the 21 minute 50 second mark to just listen to us talk about the wild and crazy Witching and Bitching!

Ep- 266: Blood Harvest (1987).10 Nov 202301:38:43

In this episode Jef, Josh and Brian point their time machine to rural Wisconsin in the late 80's to check in on the legendary clown shoe-string budget horror film "Blood Harvest".  They had long heard about "the scary movie that Tiny Tim plays a clown" but each of them had never seen it.  So making their way to a farm in the middle of nowhere they witnessed the making (all two days of it) of a truly forgettable slasher, but holy guacamole it sure did star Tiny Tim as a mentally deranged clown and that fine listeners is the real reason why we are all gathered here today...to bask in the genius and extreme weirdness of Tiny Tim as Marvelous Mervo and maybe some prime time boobies...

Ep -292: MAXXXINE.29 Jul 202400:56:07

The FM3 are finally back after a short hiatus and are in the studio recording episodes!!! This first one back in the saddle has Jef, Josh and Brian talking about Ti West's winner winner threepeat dinner "MAXXXINE"! The greasy Hollywood vibes in this one are palpable, so of course the guys enjoyed this latest installment quite a bit but not without a couple notes. Prepare for the rare occurrence when the crew together loves a movie!

Ep- 265: Catching up with The FM3 (11/2023).02 Nov 202301:12:12

(11/2023)

Ep- 264: Possession (1981).20 Oct 202301:42:58

In this episode, The FM3 have their poison served up warm and squiggly by a wonderful top level Patron from Patreon. The poison in this case is the polarizing 1981 film "Possession" by writer/director Andrzej Zulawski. Jef, Josh and Brian are finally ready to tackle this legendary movie at least in the public's ears. They may have recorded an episode talking about this very movie some time back and it was lost in the fog and sadness of different days. That being said, If you happen to be a patron on Patreon, that original recording will be getting uploaded and then you will get to hear the crew's initial reactions and feelings as they were also having a tough day at the old podcasting office. This is one of those films that will forever change you- good or bad, It WILL change you. Some folks end up not liking it which is understandable and other folks will end up obsessed digging into the dark depths of the interwebs for any tiny nugget of insight into this crazy ass film.

Ep- 263: Critters 2.12 Oct 202301:24:46

It is Forever Midnight's very own Josh Jacob Jingleheimer Staples birthday! And what better way to celebrate than by letting him pick a movie for the FM3 to talk about. Jef and Brian were surprised and even a little excited when he picked the 1988 blockbuster Critters 2! Getting to see that giant Critter-Ball in action as well as some titillating Critties busting out of a certain bounty hunters uniform made Jef, Josh and Brian sprint to watch what might be Mick Garris's best movie. Plus the FM crew talk about the recent Haunts they got to attend - Winchester Mystery House's "Unhinged: Housewarming" & Terror Vault: "The Initiation" Produced by Peaches Christ and David Flower!

Ep- 262: Cobweb.05 Oct 202301:15:20

In this episode Jef, Josh and Brian dip into a new movie that a lot of listeners were talking about and wanted us to check out. The ookie spookie spider filled 2023 romp "Cobweb"! The crew pretty much went into this one super cold and not sure what to expect, but with a name like "Cobweb" the crew knew they were in store for some creepy crawly action. This one turned out to be a full on Halloween movie as well, so now that it's pumpkin' season, get your friends together and add this to the Halloween playlist! However Listeners, please oh please watch this one before you listen - we spoil it as usual, but this movie is way better not knowing all the shit! You have been warned! hahah So sit back, push play and LET YOUR HAIR DOWN...wink wink... The FM crew is back with another one!

Ep- 261: The BlackCoat's Daughter.20 Sep 202301:21:19

In this episode Jef, Josh and Brian have their poison picked for them once again by a wonderful Top Dawg Patron! The pick this time around is the 2015 Oz Perkins directed "The Blackcoat's Daughter. This particular poison is one the FM gang have been told for years they should check out but in true FM fashion the crew waited a healthy 9 years to watch this one hahaha...As always don't forget to watch the movie before checkin the episode...Ye Come seekin' adventure and salty old podcasters, aye? Sure ye come to the proper place, but keep a weather eye open mates there be spoilers ahead and demon devito waiting for them what don't obey!

Ep- 260: Amulet (2020).07 Sep 202301:18:51

In this episode, another Top Dawg Patreon Patron picks our poison! This time around that poison is the 2020 slow burn horror film "Amulet". This one flew totally under the radar for the FM3 but they were happy to have a mystery movie picked for them. With that said, this conversation is filled with a much spirited debate about whether or not this movie was good because believe it or not Jef, Josh and Brian didn't all see eye to eye through the keyhole on this weird one. It is suggested that you check this one out for yourself before listening to this episode because the crew is taking the fast train to spoileys-ville and all the secrets will be revealed!

Ep- 259: Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation.31 Aug 202301:26:03

In this episode The FM crew get a movie picked by another one of their amazing top dog Patrons! This week Jef, Josh and Brian find themselves in some familiar territory, That's right they are back in the house that chainsaws built, talking about the 1995 movie "Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation". This is one of those movies that some folks love and some folks hate, regardless how you feel - this installment in the chainsaw franchise is one that people love to talk about. So sit back and grab some Bar-B-Que or some pizzas if that's what you fancy as The FM3 dig into "The Return Of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre"!

Ep- 258: Needful Things.24 Aug 202301:25:03

In this episode Jef, Josh and Brian get to visit good old Castle Rock Maine once again and they couldn't be more excited! People are talking and very curious about the new store that just opened. What could it be? What do they sell? Who is the creepy freak that owns the place? Soon the town is getting super agitated by the arrival of this new stranger selling special things for dirty deeds. Not wanting to trade their souls for some estate sale trinkets, the Forever Midnight crew click their heels together and say Stephen King!, Stephen King!, Stephen King! They awaken back in their old beds, everything seems normal except they all know they have now seen the 2 hour cut of the 1993 film "Needful Things". Lord Help them...

Ep- 257: Insidious: The Red Door.10 Aug 202301:22:42

In this episode the FM3 sit down and talk about the newest installment in the Insidious franchise 'The Red Door". It seems just like poor Dalton the Forever Midnight crew have a case of the old brain fog aka "The Further Farts" when it comes to figuring out the timeline for these Insidious/Conjuring movies. Brian and Josh (especially) need some help from Patrick Wilson or at least from Patrick Wilson dressed as Ed Warren to "conjure up" some of the what's and how's and why's of all these very similar movies. So grab some popcorn, a flashlight (cause it's gonna get foggy up in here) and a nice comfortable seat as the guys talk about "Darth Maul goes to College''.

Ep- 256: Pulse (2001).26 Jul 202301:13:07

In this week's episode the FM3 have a nice little techno-horror film plopped in their laps by one of their top level Patrons. "Pulse" AKA "Kairo" or "Circuit" in Japanese is an interesting take on the idea of ghosts and their relation to technology directed by Kiyoshi Kurosawa. Jef, Josh and Brian had never seen it before and were excited to have this one picked for them. This film follows two groups that discover evidence that ghosts might be trying to invade the human world via the internet. Its take on the sheer loneliness caused by our broken connections from using this technology seems light years ahead of what we all thought about the world wide web in 2001. So... hop on the internet as quickly as possible and listen in as the FM crew chat about this often overlooked Japanese Horror gem! For those of you that might have not seen this yet...Trigger Warning: (Suicide/Self Harm).

Ep- 255: Blood Diner.12 Jul 202301:22:30

In this week's episode Jef, Josh and Brian almost Sheetar'd their pants when they were served up a movie just like an ancient Lumerian feast that they had been dodging forever. A top level Patreon Patron delivered the 1987 horror comedy "Blood Diner" for the crew to chew on. One thing the FM3 figured out very quickly is this movie is batshit crazy balls! One second you got a couple dipsticks knocking a security guards eyes out with a shovel, next they are taking orders from a brain in a jar, then they are shooting up an aerobics class to harvest body parts, and then they are deep frying fingers for vegetarians to munch on and all that's before the REAL wild shit starts! Sheetar help us!

Ep- 254: Peaches Christ.27 Jun 202301:56:23

The Forever Midnight crew found out as soon as they met Peaches that they were in the company of a true horror fan! The conversation touches on everything from Peaches discovering horror, The Terror Vault Haunt that she produces every Halloween season, being a cult leader and even running errands with John Waters!! So sit back and enjoy this awesome conversation with the one and only Peaches Christ! Don't forget to check out the Cult/Horror Movie Podcast "Midnight Mass" that Peaches does with Filmmaker Michael Varrati! It rules and is available everywhere you listen to podcasts!

Ep- 253: The Boogeyman (2023).15 Jun 202301:20:16

In this week's episode the FM3 finally return to some familiar stomping grounds to check out the newest Stephen King Adaptation "The Boogeyman''! It has been some time since the Forever Midnight crew visited Stephen King's 1978 collection of short stories known as "Night Shift" and they are happy to be back on the old Lawnmower again with this horror anthology that has birthed dozens of horror movies and television series. So grab a snack, turn on all the lights in your house and enjoy the fact that in 2023 we are still getting new scary movies based on Stephen King stories!

Ep-252: TerrorVision.08 Jun 202301:18:15

In this week's episode Jef, Josh and Brian head into the horny alternate 80's universe of the horror comedy TerrorVision! This movie truly has all the things the FM3 could ever want out of a horror film: Sci-Fi swingers getting their funky freak on, pretentious punkers turning into puke piles, unstable military nuts with enough ammunition to blow up the moon, a sloppy mess of a martian monster that loves assimilating humans just like Society's shuntings of yore and so much more!! This is one of those rare films that is truly so bad it's kinda...good. So hop in the hottub with your scary movie pals as they talk about this beloved cult classic! (In this episode the FM crew might talk about The Cure for about 14 minutes so feel free to fast forward if you just want to hear the TerrorVision chat.)

TerrorVision is available for free on Youtube here: https://youtu.be/piWTECjq5JA

Ep- 251: Body Melt.31 May 202301:25:08

In this week's episode, the FM3, get the hell out of Canada and find themselves in sunny Australia, the land of big bugs, jacked studs and ugly mugs! Well only ugly and jacked if you were one of the "actors" in the 1993 ozploitation film "Body Melt". For years the Forever Midnight Crew held high hopes that this movie would bring them a treasure trove of the grossest and goriest deaths to ever grace the silver screen. The holy grail if you will of juicy, slippery bodies turning into kangaroo stew movies.  But once again, Jef, Josh and Brian learn some hard lessons when it comes to getting their hopes up and how quickly their hopes can split open and turn to shit like an overcooked hot dog. Enjoy!

Ep- 250: SLAXX.24 May 202301:23:43

In this episode Jef, Josh and Brian find themselves back in the land of beautiful blue denim. That's right, you guessed it CANADA!!  The crew is outside of an upscale clothing store waiting for their newest experimental Jeans to drop. But as the FM3 rush the doors to get their asses in some fancy pants they are met with a blood soaked army of killer denim. The guys have two choices: battle the blue jeans or figure out why the denim is on a murderous rampage. Quick decisions were made and the guys figured when would be the next time they could fight some haunted pants...So weapons were gathered and The Forever Midnight crew put up a good fight but alas the ghost pants kicked their butts and drank their butt blood. This episode is dedicated to the best damn horror podcast there ever was...hopefully they are looking down on you from the big jean shorts in the sky hoping you enjoy this episode.

Ep- 249: Urban Legend (1998).16 May 202301:35:50

In this episode, Jef, Josh and Brian hop in the not so way-back machine and travel to the 1990's. The mission was to see the aftermath of a post "Scream" world where every studio and director just wanted the hottest young doofs in Hollywood and had a total and complete lack of ideas and love for the genre. The FM3 crash landed in 1998 trying to get there in time to disrupt the making of Urban Legend in hopes of ending the production but alas they were too late and they arrived on opening day September 25th, 1998. As they saw the young people pouring in to watch UL1, they decided to finally give it a watch...what you are about to hear is an account of what befell this group of horror podcasters, it is all more tragic that they were old and jaded and knew this movie was gonna be dog shit, but they could not have expected nor would they have wished to see any more "Scream" rip-offs. For them an idyllic time travelling afternoon would become a nightmare as they could not stop or reverse the ripples these types of films would make for years and years to come...
