Does the idea of 'putting yourself out there' fill you with dread? And what if someone actually wants to have a discovery call with you? We trained to be coaches after all, not marketing and sales professionals! The thought of selling ourselves essentially can bring up all sorts of stuff! Group or 1:1? It's a question I get asked a lot... I work with groups and 1:1 clients, so for me, this mix works well. Often new Coaches decide to go for group as their core offer as soon as they start out... which can seem like a great way forward to avoid the time for money income ceiling... You have been posting on social media, maybe you have a website, but still no luck!! where are all the clients?! And why are some coaches shouting about who they're working with, yet you haven't really had any interest?! You want your Coaching to be your sole source of income... But how can you make that happen? Many Coaches give their time away for free - and get stuck there or, at best, sell their coaching at very low cost. Don't get caught in that trap! Not only because you want to earn your living, but because you are doing yourself a disservice. Aside from finding clients that want to buy from you, you need to ensure you get your pricing right - so that working with those clients actually earns you a wage. Once you have them ready to buy, you don't want to de-value your work and leave them wondering "why so cheap?!" There's so many things we might like to have in place or finished before putting ourselves out there. but are we really telling ourselves the truth, that they are totally necessary before we can just get started on letting the world know who we are, who we help and with what?! I haven't put an episode of this podcast out for three weeks (it's meant to be weekly). But rather than beating myself up and now getting into a tizz about why I now can't just randomly restart, I have just done it! You not getting your messaging clear, not showing up consistently, not going to that network event is no different. You will have given yourself a reason "I need to finish my website / get branding sorted / receive coaching certificate / other excuse first". It's not true. You CAN do those things IF they truly will be the make or break, but I bet they won't! Coaching is a saturated market, right?! And what's the point, when everyone else is doing it all SO much better than you?!
Comparisonitis is a real thing. I still suffer from it now and again - nobody is immune.
How you manage this though will be the difference between making it as a Coach and throwing in the towel.

When you are posting on social media, showing up everywhere you know your ideal client is but get nothing back, remember, the lurkers are watching!!! There will be people seeing your content and resonating. They most likely wont make themselves known. So you have no idea they are watching and could assume you were getting no traction.
