Welcome Back B-oo's Crew! This week we take our first dive into true crime with a case straight out of a horror novel. Gerard John Schaefer was Martin County police officer who went on to torture, rape and murder two young girls in Port St. Lucie, Florida in the early 1970's. While he was convicted of the two, it is believed he was responsible for 26 other murders in the area.
 In this first part we talk his early life and what his family and school years were like. Heads up, it's not good. From a young boy Gerard would show signs that he was not ok, but his family was not exactly the Cleavers! Get ready B-oo's Crew, this one is going to be rough begining to end!

Happy Halloween B-oo's Crew! This Halloween we travel to Massachusetts to visit the worlds most notorious asylum, Danvers State Hospital! A Kirkbride building known as "The Kirkbride, The Witches Castle, Hell House on the Hill and The Castle on the Hill". There are many places that claim to be "The most haunted," but Danvers, being the inspiration for H.P Lovecraft's Arkham Sanitorium and then becoming the model for Arkham Asylum in Batmnan, seems to hold that title!
 Also known as the birthplace of the prefrontal lobotomy, Danvers was built to be a gentle care facility, but by the 1930's that would all change. Straightjackets, electroshock therapy, hydro therapy, lobotomies and many other "treatments" were used here....including the "Spread Eagle Therapy!"
This is truly the house of horrors. SO get ready B-oo's Crew, because this one will have you re-thinking going to the hospital!

Located in Honshu Japan, this location has signs of human life as far back as 35,000 years ago with some speculating even farther back than that.  The forest located at the base of Mt. Fuji has become a popular suicide destination seemingly do to a popular Japanese book calling it, "The best place to die!" The issue has gotten so bad that the Japanese government has had to be creative in how they combat the unfortunate occurrences here. With a horrific 18 out of 100,000 suicide rate and, finding 30 to 100 bodies here a year, its clear how this place could be haunted! Being a more gentle care facility, those who lived here did so without restraint and barbaric tactics.
 Dr. Zeller was the only man they felt that was right for the job and he went on to run a successful hospital until the day it closed due to lack of funding. Andrew Dexter was born in 1969 in Bargoed, and for the next decade of his life, his family would be plagued with paranormal activity. Gladstone Villa built in the early 1900's and named after a former Prime Minister was the sight of many stories.
 Everything from apparitions, footsteps, babies crying, things moving and more were reported here. But the figure of a monk would stand out above all.
