Can Fact-Checkers Be Trusted? An Analysis on Truth and Censorship10 Aug 202100:16:20

As you may know, I am obsessed with exploring truth — its meaning and the objective possibility of it.
Today, one of the culture wars that affects us all is the debate on facts and censorship. How do we determine what the media and people say is true? Should fact-checkers exist? If so, can we trust them to be unbiased? And who should this responsibility be on anyway?
In this episode, I break all of this down, explain why it has become politized, explore the potential dangers of fact-checkers, and the responsibility we as individuals have going forward.

In episode 85, you will learn:
00:00 Fact vs Truth: Everything is politicized
01:57 What are facts and what are they based on
04:39 Who is responsible for the truth — are fact-checkers dangerous?
09:49 Who is responsible for censoring
11:25 Who is responsible for the truth
14:45 The victim mentality of society — “learned helplessness”
15:33 Important closing thoughts

Success — The Biggest Lie Ever Sold29 Jun 202100:20:37

I believe this is my most important solo episode yet, and I invite you to listen and absorb the full message here.

Success. Success is something we all think about and hope to attain in life. It's also something that I in particular have been grappling with for the last few years, especially as I have become more "successful" by conventional definitions.

Where I have landed is this — I believe that most of what we know and believe about success is a lie. A very dangerous and destructive one.

And I believe that if we don't understand this truth and shift our mindset and behavior about it today, we will live a life of suffering until our final days.

In this episode, I break it all down.

In episode 79, you will learn:
00:00 The definition of success
01:56 Finding and creating your North Star
03:25 What happens after you achieve your goals
08:45 The biggest LIE ever sold
12:41 How can we stop living the lie and create joy today
14:48 The secret behind it all
17:11 Finding peace with the process

😤TRIGGERED?! 😤

Being "triggered" has become a pop culture buzzword over the last few years, but it's actually a very important topic.

In this episode, I break down what it really means to be triggered in psychological terms, how to recognize it, understand what got you there, and what to do about it.

I also end the episode with a big truth that I think you'll find very interesting and inspiring. Enjoy!

ONE Year Anniversary: What’s Next?25 May 202100:43:27

FLOW with Arman Assadi has been LIVE for one full year now — wow. I’m grateful and honored, thank you for spending time with me.

Reflecting back on my journey over the past year with this podcast, I decided to document my journey on a macro level. I dive deep into my existing businesses, my latest venture, and what I have been doing in-between.

I have a simple ask: I would love your input on what direction FLOW with Arman Assadi should take. I have been thinking about this a lot and it’s time to get some feedback from you on the direction of the show’s evolution.

Option 1: Documenting my journey of finding flow and fulfillment and uncovering the same with fascinating people and interviews.

Option 2: Tactical - each episode/interview is planned out to provide you with value nuggets and things you can implement into your life right now. Specifically, on business, online business, startups, psychology, fulfillment, money, investing, all the things I’m most passionate about.

Option 3: Keep doing what I’m doing - a wide range of topics/people where the show itself is an exercise in finding flow.

Let me know what option you like best! Just send me a 1,2, or 3!

How to Make $1000 per Hour11 May 202100:20:26

$1000 an hour, sounds nice right?

I absolutely believe and know it’s possible, so for this episode, I sit down to reverse engineer my process for how I got there and break it down into 7 steps. I will say, I actually don’t think focusing on getting your hourly rate as high as possible is the optimal path to financial success. I share my perspective on this, as well as other ways to be successful.

The Weird but Effective Way to Deal With Haters Online04 May 202100:05:50

I got DESTROYED by the internet last week.

I even got my first death threat (Because I expressed my admiration for Elon Musk).

The internet can clearly be an absolutely disgusting place. Social media and anonymity/pseudonymity seem to enable people to reveal their true nature.

But don’t worry I am 0% affected by this. It obviously shocked me to see it but clearly, this is a depressed cynical nihilistic person who’s completely lost. To truly do good in the world you have to be aware of the monsters that are out there, including the ones inside yourself, otherwise, you’re just living in a bliss bubble.

This is a very challenging time for all humanity. What we lack more than anything is an education in critical thinking. We seem to be desperately trying to find our place in this digital age. Everyone has grabbed hold of a ‘Truth’ and they think "I have found the answer and everyone else is a sheep/idiot". We’ve lost the ability to reason, think, analyze, discuss. I’ve asked many people questions about where their beliefs come from and the reaction is often the same: a) attack mine because they can’t explain theirs or b) ignore.

The digital age, censorship, social media, anonymity, truth. This results in violent behavior and isolationist thinking that further separates us. The cynical side of me is worried. But the optimist believes that this is a messy and required phase and this too shall pass. Hopefully 🙏

2020: What the Hell Happened...and What Do We Do Now?29 Dec 202000:37:20

One of my absolute favorite things each year is my end of year Annual Review and Planning process. I like to take a good 3-5 days to just sit, reflect, and appreciate the highs and lows of the year. I sit in gratitude and pick out my lessons learned. And then I start setting an intentional plan for the next one.

Needless to say, this was obviously a very different year. A glitch in the Matrix type of year, if you will. And I sense that things will not be getting easier or going back to normal. I have been thinking and deconstructing all of this and what is happening at an individual and collective level a lot this year, so I decided to bring it all together in one episode.

This might be my most important episode yet. It is the compilation of a wide variety of topics I have been exploring these past few years. And it goes without saying, my approach to the current issues we face socially, politically, economically, and even spiritually is not like those you will hear on the news or from your favorite influencer.

It is important to look at this all as objectively and rationally as we possibly can because I believe this journey has just begun in many ways and you and I have key roles to play.

We need to learn how to think critically and correctly—fast.

So have a listen/watch, absorb it all, and let me know what you think. I wish you a beautiful New Year and much peace and prosperity in 2021.

Show Notes:

  • Intro: Arman sets the stage and lays out what he will be covering [00:11]
  • Why this is the craziest time to be alive [4:30]
  • The uncertainty of the economy and the burden of survival [13:29]
  • The war of ideologies and discussing what truth really is [19:16]
  • Why we may need a new system to evolve [25:35]
  • The definition of progress and evolution [31:30]
