22. Finding Freedom in Not Knowing it All14 Aug 202300:14:44

In this solo episode of F**K Being Stuck, I explore the concept of finding freedom in not knowing it all.

Society often conditions us to pursue a certain model of success, focusing solely on achieving goals and material accomplishments. However, I challenge this perspective and question whether these achievements actually lead to true happiness and fulfillment.

Instead, I propose a different way of defining success – one that prioritizes personal growth, self-love, and embracing our true core identity.

I want to emphasize the importance of nurturing both the material and spiritual aspects of life. Success should not be limited to material achievements, but should also encompass love, compassion, and meaningful spiritual connections. To redefine love, explore beyond societal expectations and approach life's mysteries with curiosity.

Ultimately, the episode offers a transformative journey of self-discovery, challenging listeners to reexamine their definitions of success, love, and spirituality in pursuit of a more fulfilling and liberated existence.

In this episode I share:
  • The societal conditioning around success and questioning its correlation with happiness and fulfillment.
  • The importance of redefining success based on personal growth and self-love.
  • The significance of nurturing both material and spiritual aspects of life.
  • The exploration and redefinition of various aspects of life, such as love, faith, and religious practices.

19. The Importance of Friendships with Farah Joseph24 Jul 202300:20:48

Many times friendships will come and go, but the ones that you lose track of time with…those are the meaningful ones. Sometimes it is the friends in our lives that we need to lean on to help us through the hard times. The friend that will listen no matter what. The friend that is there for you when you need them most. And most importantly, the friend that can laugh with you about anything.

For this episode I invited my friend, Farah Joseph, a school psychologist also known as Ms. J., on the show to talk all about friendships. The friendships that have impacted her life, and just how friendships in general can help you heal in ways you didn’t know.

Ms. J shares about her longest friendships, especially the ones formed during her college days. Despite the ups and downs, these friendships have endured because they value and understand each other. We still have friends with different personalities. We understand that forgiveness and acceptance are crucial because we all have our own struggles and journeys. We don't force each other in any direction, but we support and help each other. We believe in giving grace to others because we want the same in return.

In this episode we discuss:
  • How important friendships can be in our journey
  • Our friendship over the years
  • What makes each of us a great friend
  • Even those with different personalities can make the best friends
  • Forgiveness
