Trug and Naul go and visit a man about a bull. Medb cannot understand why she simply cannot have all the things the way she wants them immediately. Cathal starts his training to be a hero while Filthy Henry skirts the legal line using a reference to another franchise.

Lauren explains why magical means cannot be used to just 'win', much to Naul's annoyance. Filthy Henry has a sleep over with Cathal to explain why they need him to do and why. Cathal considers what is revealed to him. Shelly and Dru the Druid notice a pair of interesting people in town and wonder if they are connected with the case. Trug and Naul have a look at the modern world and are pleased with how society appears to have moved on from their own time.

For the first time in a long time, Filthy Henry is out of his depth. There is something going on in the Dead Zoo that he can't explain and Shelly isn't having much luck either. As the disturbances get stronger, they have to consider that maybe they are dealing with something from a different mythology. Which makes the fairy detective very uncomfortable.

The gang go back to Cathal's house and receive a grand tour decidedly lacking on the 'grand' side of things. Questions are raised about whether or not Cathal Cullen is the person they are meant to be working with. Medb gets reacquainted with Naul and Trug, while Lauren explains the plan to them all. Cathal, upon hearing what Shelly and Filthy Henry are in town to do, starts wondering who exactly is the more crazy person in his home.

Filthy Henry and co arrive in Carlingford and look around to set up a base of operations. There search for Cathal Cullen results in Dru the Druid attempting to eat both his feet at the same time. The fairy detective is surprised to see that heroes come in all shapes and sizes.

Medb meets her benefactor and learns why time travel is never as easy as the movies make out. Filthy Henry deals with the revelations dropped on him, before accepting the case. While Shelly and Dru find out just how important being part of a Trinity is.

Filthy Henry is working the toughest, most important, case he has ever had. The very fabric of his world has been torn to shreds and answers are needed, as the consequences of failure do not bear considering. After all, it's not every day a hundred year old half-breed wakes up hungover, an event that has never happened before. Something sinister is afoot and the fairy detective needs to figure out what. 

But who doesn't love a St. Patrick's Day mystery? Aside from the mystery around why people call it Patty's Day, which is something nobody can solve.

As the events of the previous night are slowly uncovered, Filthy Henry is no clearer on a number of things. Just how much had he drank, and with whom? The clues are not presenting themselves in a timely manner, owing largely to the fact that the fairy detective is trying to survive his first and worst hangover. But hope springs from an unusual source and aspirin is in abundant supply. 

And Filthy Henry may swear off the drink by the end of it all.

As Valentine's Day approaches things are quiet in Celtic Investigations. That is until a client arrives with a case about dinners and being denied sleep. A case that would interest anyone, except for Filthy Henry. Luckily there is another detective in town. One who has manners, cares about helping people and, more importantly, behaves in the opposite manner to Filthy Henry.

As the Halloween season approaches, things that go bump in the night are to be expected. But when the place those nightly bumps are happening in turns out to be the Natural History Museum, something is amiss.
