Roberts Eggers is back with his latest flick to scare us all. In the form of a brand new adaptation of Nosferatu, featuring Hollywoods go to monster actor at the moment, Bill Skarsgard. But we are talking Vampires for the sound time to kick off the year. Joining me are the brilliant Jen and Sarah from Movies and Us.

My choice, was frankly my third choice, and a reason why physical media is king! I eventually went with The Lost Boys. We talk about the great eighties feel the film has and in its film making. We talk about, how bad one particular performance is. We talk about the film uses vampire lore in good ways and very bad ways too. Plus we talk about explosive toilets. IMDB page

My guests turn to go first, and they have gone for Taika Waititi's third film, What We Do in the Shadows. On this one we talk about how brilliantly done the physical comedy is directed and how well acted it is too. This week as Hollywood is doing it's thing again and wildly delaying one of the most anticipated film of the year to next January. Yes I'm writing about Mickey 17. The new sci fi film we all have to wait a bit longer for now. But we are sticking with relating the episode to Mickey 17. Of course the one picture we have about the film is of Robert Pattinson upside down. So we are talking Robert Pattinson films. Of course I can't alone I'm joined by the third appearance from Haven't Scene It.

Tommy's turn this time and is going for arguably the best Elm Street film, A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors. On this one we talk about how creative all the kills are and how they relate to the teenagers. We talk about how some of the characters are slightly under used. We talk about whether this is Robert Englund's best performance as Freddy Krueger. Plus we talk about giant pink dicks. IMDB page

Martin's pick for this episode is one of the best vampire films for the eighties, Tom Hollands, Fright Night. On this one we again can't get enough of the amazing eighties practical effects. Boaz went for Sam Raimi's third evil dead film, Army of Darkness. On this one we talk about how at times Sam Raimi directs this film like an animated film. For Martin and Boaz there was only one choice for us and that his best masterpiece, The Thing. On this one we talked about the incredible special effects from Rob Bottin work and how creative it is in the most horrible ways. We talk about the amazing cast and that you really can recognise who is actually the thing by the way there acting way to relaxed. For us the pick of the march releases we are talking about all the biggest spoilers and biggest and best kills. On this one we talk about how stunning this film looks with all the neon lighting.
