Through three weeks, Bryce Young and Tyler Shough are top-four fantasy QBs while Drake Maye and Justin Herbert don't crack the top 25. Ian Hartitz ranks his top 32 quarterbacks for Week 4, sorts them into five tiers, and stops after every tier for a bigger question about the position, from bye-week streamers to which QBs are playing scared.

TIER 1: THE BIG SIX
Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Trevor Lawrence, Brock Purdy, Patrick Mahomes, Jalen Hurts.
Key question: who are the best lower-owned QBs to target with the upcoming bye weeks? For Week 5 (Chiefs bye): Jacoby Brissett, then Sam Darnold, then Geno Smith. For Week 6 (Bengals, Lions): Marcus Mariota, then Kirk Cousins, then Michael Penix. For Week 7 (Bills, Jaguars): Geno Smith and C.J. Stroud. And Colts-Commanders is in London, so set those lineups before 9:30am ET on Sunday.

TIER 2: ROCK SOLID QB1S
Tyler Shough, Jared Goff, Joe Burrow, Dak Prescott, Jordan Love.
Key question: what offenses are expected to have the most trouble controlling the line of scrimmage this week? Using combined matchup pressure rates, Bryce Young, Justin Herbert, Malik Willis, Drake Maye, Deshaun Watson and Jalen Hurts look to be under a LOT of pressure, while Jacoby Brissett, Michael Penix and Kyler Murray should see relatively clean pockets.

TIER 3: WE'RE SAYING THERE'S A CHANCE
Jacoby Brissett, Bo Nix, Bryce Young, Matthew Stafford, Geno Smith, Marcus Mariota, Kirk Cousins.
Key question: who has the best and worst supporting casts through three weeks? Using the average rank in PFF team grades for rushing, receiving, pass blocking and run blocking, the top five are the 49ers, Lions, Chiefs, Ravens and Rams. The bottom five are the Giants, Chargers, Commanders, Dolphins and, dead last, the Packers.

TIER 4: THERE'S AT LEAST ONE CONCERN
Sam Darnold, Kyler Murray, Michael Penix, Deshaun Watson, Drake Maye, Justin Herbert, C.J. Stroud, Daniel Jones, Malik Willis.
Key question: who have been the best and worst real-life QBs through three weeks? Using EPA per play and completion percentage over expected from rbsdm.com: Brock Purdy for MVP, Drew Lock up top, Geno Smith back to being the CPOE king, and a rough start for Jameis Winston, Jordan Love and Justin Herbert.

TIER 5: I'M GOOD, THANKS
Aaron Rodgers, Jameis Winston, Case Keenum, Cam Ward, Jalon Daniels.
Key question: what QBs are playing scared this season? Ranking scramble rate, average target depth, throws short of the sticks and check-down rate, the five most scared QBs are Bo Nix, Jacoby Brissett, Drew Lock, Joe Burrow and Daniel Jones.

The Week 3 box score lied to you. Ian Hartitz goes back through every play that did not survive to the stat sheet: touchdowns wiped out by penalty, drives that died at the one-yard line, the unrealized air yards leaderboard, defensive pass interference, interceptions that were not the quarterback's fault, and the drops and overthrows that cost six points.

Jaylen Warren had an 87-yard run taken off the board by a holding call, then got caught by the turf monster on what should have been a 32-yard score later in the same drive. Malik Washington broke two tackles for a 14-yard touchdown that came back on an illegal shift, then had a potential 43-yard score overthrown. Davante Adams beat Pat Surtain deep for what should have been a 46-yard touchdown, and got nothing for it. Matthew Golden led the league with 154 unrealized air yards and already has 95 defensive pass interference yards through three weeks.

Ian calls it the sheesh report, because these are the moments that make fantasy managers say exactly that.

Ian Hartitz and Billy Collins run through the full Week 3 fantasy football injury report after Friday's practices: who is good to go, who is questionable and who is out at quarterback, running back, wide receiver and tight end, plus the fantasy fallout from every one of them.

The wide receivers are hurting. Puka Nacua is doubtful, which bumps Davante Adams and moves Terrance Ferguson up to TE10. Nico Collins is out again, Zay Flowers is questionable for the 4:25pm ET game in Brazil, DJ Moore is a game-time decision, and Ian explains why he could sit Malik Nabers even though he is not listed. Brock Bowers is questionable after a planned DNP on Friday, and Ian names the best tight end replacements if he sits. At running back, Rico Dowdle is out and Jaylen Warren becomes Ian's RB17, Saquon Barkley looks on track, and Tony Pollard jumps if Tyjae Spears is ruled out.

Then the defensive injury clusters worth knowing, the Ollie Williams weather report (a Nor'easter hits Giants-Titans and Commanders-Seahawks), and a four-leg Betr card built with Billy.

Travis Kelce is averaging career highs in yards per catch (14.3) and yards per target (10.8) to open his 14th season, Patrick Mahomes looks like Patrick Mahomes again, and the Chiefs get the Dolphins. Ian Hartitz ranks his top 32 tight ends for Week 3, sorts them into four tiers, and stops after the first three for a bigger question about the position.

TIER 1: THE BIG SIX
Trey McBride, Brock Bowers, Dalton Kincaid, Travis Kelce, Tucker Kraft, George Kittle.
Key question: who have been fantasy's most efficient tight ends on a per-route basis? Dalton Kincaid, by a mile. Only Jaxon Smith-Njigba averages more yards per route run.

TIER 2: TOP-FIVE UPSIDE
Sam LaPorta, Isaiah Likely, Tyler Warren, Oronde Gadsden, Dalton Schultz, Colston Loveland.
Key question: who are the best streaming options at tight end if you're dealing with injuries and/or Colston Loveland? This week, Oronde Gadsden. Long term, Terrance Ferguson. Also like Darren Waller.

TIER 3: YOU COULD IMAGINE
Juwan Johnson, Mark Andrews, Jake Ferguson, Darren Waller, Kenyon Sadiq, Harold Fannin Jr., Terrance Ferguson, Pat Freiermuth, Kyle Pitts.
Key question: who have been the league's worst defenses against tight ends since the beginning of last season? The Bengals, and it isn't close. The Colts, Lions, Cardinals, Bucs, Steelers and Dolphins have been rough too.

TIER 4: THE OTHER GUYS
Hunter Henry, Brenton Strange, AJ Barner, T.J. Hockenson, Evan Engram, Mike Gesicki, Cade Otton, Greg Dulcich, Michael Mayer, Gunnar Helm, Colby Parkinson.

Matthew Golden averaged 25.8 receiving yards per game in his first 14 career games, and 79 per game across his last three. He's tied for seventh among all wide receivers in targets and 10th in air yards, and Jayden Reed is out of the picture. Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Ja'Marr Chase, Puka Nacua, Amon-Ra St. Brown, CeeDee Lamb, Chris Olave, Justin Jefferson, DeVonta Smith, Drake London.

TIER 2: BALLERS WITH VOLUME
Parker Washington, Christian Watson, Mike Evans, George Pickens, Tee Higgins, Jaylen Waddle, Ladd McConkey, Zay Flowers.
Key question: who have been the most efficient receivers on a per-route basis? Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Parker Washington and Davante Adams. Chop wood, carry water.

TIER 3: FEELING PRETTY, PRETTY, PRETTY GOOD
Davante Adams, DJ Moore, Tetairoa McMillan, Garrett Wilson, Rashee Rice, Matthew Golden, Emeka Egbuka, Malik Nabers.
Key question: what defenses are showing signs of being pass funnels? The Commanders, Packers and Buccaneers stand out.

TIER 4: THE LAST GUYS TO FEEL MOSTLY GOOD ABOUT
Jalen Coker, Jameson Williams, Josh Downs, Devaughn Vele, Deebo Samuel Sr., Michael Wilson.

Chuba Hubbard has more fantasy points than Christian McCaffrey right now. With Jonathon Brooks sidelined, Chuba is the running back in Carolina. Ian Hartitz ranks his top 48 running backs for Week 3, sorts them into six tiers, and stops after every tier for a bigger question about the position.

TIER 1: BALLERS, SHOT CALLERS
Jahmyr Gibbs, Bijan Robinson, Christian McCaffrey, Kenneth Walker, Derrick Henry, Jonathan Taylor, James Cook.
Key question: who have been the best individual performers through two weeks? Spoiler: Kenneth Walker, and then everyone else. Chiefs RBs ranked dead last in yards after contact and tackles avoided per carry in 2024-2025. This year they are easily first in both.

TIER 2: THE REST OF THE RB1S
Saquon Barkley, Chase Brown, Ashton Jeanty, Javonte Williams, Chuba Hubbard, Breece Hall, De'Von Achane, Omarion Hampton, Kyren Williams, Bucky Irving.
Key question: who had a true workhorse role in Week 2? Nine backs played 75% or more of the snaps, led by Jonathan Taylor at 95%. The biggest surprise: Bucky Irving.

TIER 3: SOLID VETS AND BUY-LOW YOUNGSTERS
Aaron Jones, David Montgomery, Bhayshul Tuten, Cam Skattebo, Travis Etienne, Jeremiyah Love.
Key question: what offenses have the biggest on-paper advantages at the line of scrimmage this week? Best: Jets, Titans, Bills, Broncos, Lions and Rams. Worst: Steelers, Falcons, Packers, Jaguars and Seahawks.

TIER 4: FINE TO START, BUT THERE'S A PRETTY BRIGHT RED FLAG
D'Andre Swift, Jaylen Warren, Rhamondre Stevenson, TreVeyon Henderson, Jadarian Price.
Key question: what running backs have done the most cool shit this season? Rookie Emmett Johnson leads the way, ahead of Chuba Hubbard, Kenneth Walker, Bhayshul Tuten and Omarion Hampton.

TIER 5: ELITE RB2S OR MEH RB1S
Tony Pollard, Quinshon Judkins, Blake Corum, Rachaad White, Kaelon Black, Jacory Croskey-Merritt, J.K. Dobbins, RJ Harvey, Jonah Coleman.
Key question: which teams have the biggest yards per carry gaps between their RB1 and RB2? Seven backups are out-running their starters by at least half a yard per carry, led by Kyle Monangai over D'Andre Swift.

TIER 6: CUT YOUR FANTASY TEAM INTO PIECES; THIS IS YOUR LAST RESORT
MarShawn Lloyd, Kaleb Johnson, Emmett Johnson, Tyjae Spears, Kyle Monangai, Tyler Allgeier, Woody Marks, Alvin Kamara, Brian Robinson, Braelon Allen, Chris Rodriguez.
Key question: who are the best deep-league waiver wire handcuff stashes? Kaleb Johnson if you need FLEX value soon, and Ray Davis if you want a pure handcuff stash.

Two weeks of football are in the books, and Bryce Young is BALLING. Ian Hartitz ranks his top 32 quarterbacks for Week 3, sorts them into six tiers, and stops after every tier for a bigger question about the position. Only Josh Allen has scored more fantasy points than Bryce so far this season, and he is still only 34% rostered.

TIER 1: THE BIG FIVE
Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Jalen Hurts, Brock Purdy, Patrick Mahomes.
Key question: what are the worst defenses we should be targeting after two weeks? Using defensive EPA per dropback in 2025 and 2026, the Cowboys, Commanders, Dolphins, Cardinals and Titans stand out as bad last year and bad again this year. You were already starting Lamar and Purdy, but don't be surprised if Drew Lock keeps on keeping on and the Patrick Mahomes comeback season rolls on in Miami.

TIER 2: STARTING THEM AND FEELING GOOD ABOUT IT
Trevor Lawrence, Dak Prescott, Joe Burrow, Jared Goff, Tyler Shough.
Key question: what offenses have most consistently pushed the easy buttons, pre-snap shift/motion and play-action, through two weeks? Zac Robinson's Buccaneers are doing everything we could ask for. The Bears went from 6th and 2nd in motion and play-action last season to 29th and 9th, and the Packers from 9th and 14th to 24th and 26th. Too many new play-callers sit in the bottom-left corner.

TIER 3: WE HAVE QUESTIONS
Jordan Love, Drake Maye, Justin Herbert, Bryce Young, Kyler Murray, Bo Nix.
Key question: how have offenses performed relative to preseason Vegas expectations? The Panthers (26th in preseason implied totals, 2nd in points per game), Raiders, Saints, Jets and Chiefs are the most pleasant surprises. The Rams, Patriots, Chargers, Bengals and Packers have disappointed, and the Packers, Chargers and Patriots are where things have looked ROUGH.

TIER 4: SUPERFLEX ONLY IF YOU CAN HELP IT
Matthew Stafford, Baker Mayfield, Malik Willis, Drew Lock, Geno Smith.
Key question: what offensive lines might be BAD? Using average time to pressure and RB rush yards before contact, the Bills and Rams are the class of the league, with the 49ers, Bucs, Bears, Jets and Commanders also doing more good than bad. The Packers, Bengals, Giants, Saints, Chargers and Vikings have struggled.

TIER 5: YIKES, BUT HEY, ANY GIVEN SUNDAY
C.J. Stroud, Deshaun Watson, Jacoby Brissett, Jameis Winston, Marcus Mariota, Daniel Jones.
Key question: who are the best streaming options for the next few weeks? For Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels and Jaxson Dart managers: Bryce Young, then C.J. Stroud, then Geno Smith and Jacoby Brissett, with Mariota ahead of Jameis after that.

TIER 6: NOT GOOD. IN FACT, BAD
Kirk Cousins, Michael Penix, Tyson Bagent, Cam Ward, Aaron Rodgers.

The Week 2 box score lied to you. Ian Hartitz goes back through every play that did not survive to the stat sheet: touchdowns wiped out by penalty, drives that died at the one-yard line, the unrealized air yards leaderboard, defensive pass interference, interceptions that were not the quarterback's fault, and the drops that cost six points.

Terry McLaurin led the league with 146 unrealized air yards and came within inches of a three-touchdown day, then finished as a dud. Justin Jefferson had a 68-yard house call taken off the board by a holding penalty. Neither of those shows up anywhere in the final line, and that gap is the whole point of the show.

Ian calls it the sheesh report, because these are the moments that make fantasy managers say exactly that.

Ian Hartitz and Dwain McFarland recap every Sunday game from NFL Week 2, one offense at a time, with the utilization numbers that actually move rankings. Route shares, target shares, air yards, snap splits, short yardage work and the injuries that blow up Week 3 lineups.

A rough Sunday for almost every running back not named James Cook, three offenses that lost their quarterback, and a handful of receivers who just forced their way into the weekly must start conversation.

What we get into:

Ian Hartitz runs through the full Week 2 fantasy football injury report after Friday's practices: who is good to go, who is questionable and who is out at quarterback, running back, wide receiver and tight end, plus the fantasy fallout from every one of them.

Nico Collins is out, which moves Dalton Schultz up to TE12 and puts Kayshon Boutte in the low-end WR4 range. Ladd McConkey is questionable for a 4:05pm ET kickoff, and Ian names the 1pm receivers he would start instead if it stays a true 50-50. Zay Flowers and Brock Bowers are doubtful, Puka Nacua missed Friday practice, and TreVeyon Henderson and Alvin Kamara both make their season debuts.

Then the offensive line and defensive injury clusters worth knowing, the Ollie Williams weather report (Bears-Vikings is the worst spot), and Ian's four Betr picks for the week.

Ian Hartitz ranks his top 27 tight ends for Week 2, sorts them into five tiers, and stops after every tier for a bigger question about the position. Trey McBride opens at TE1, Colston Loveland holds at TE2 after the Week 1 goose egg heard round the world, Dalton Kincaid jumps all the way to TE3, Isaiah Likely lands at TE5 in his first season as a Giant, and Travis Kelce sits at TE13.

The Kincaid case in one line: a 77% snap rate and a 69% route rate finally gave him a true full-time role, and on a per route run basis over the last 12 months he belongs in a group with Puka Nacua, Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Amon-Ra St. Brown. Ian does not need more than one hand to count the tight ends he would rather have the rest of the season.

The Likely case: an 8-78-2 opener looks a lot like his 9-111-1 opener in 2024, and he finished that year as the TE20 in points per game. What is different now is that there is no Mark Andrews to share the field with, so he is the focal point of the Giants passing game behind Malik Nabers.

THE FIVE TIERS
Tier 1: The big three
Tier 2: Cemented TE1s that you can feel good about
Tier 3: Studs with a question mark
Tier 4: Would be a lot cooler if you had a better option
Tier 5: You never know

THE KEY QUESTIONS
Can you fully buy into Dalton Kincaid as a top-five fantasy tight end? Yes, and the film backs the numbers: he beat Derek Stingley on a jump ball, ran away from two defenders on a crosser to set up the game winner, and now plays as the clear number two option in a Josh Allen offense that threw more in Week 1 than it did all last season.

Was Isaiah Likely's Week 1 boom another fluke? We have seen this open before, but never without Mark Andrews on the field. A near full-time role in an offense with no clear second target, and a young quarterback who has played well, is a very different setup.

Who have been the league's most productive tight ends over the last half season? Trey McBride at 21.1 points per game, then George Kittle at 16.4 and Kyle Pitts at 13.7, with Brock Bowers, Dallas Goedert and Colby Parkinson close behind. Ian's takeaway: FREE KYLE PITTS.

What defenses have been the worst on paper at stopping tight ends over the last 12 months? Spoiler, it is the Bengals, which is exactly why Dalton Schultz is this week's flyer.

Who are the best under-owned tight end bench stashes? Oronde Gadsden is the name Ian is most intrigued by, with Terrance Ferguson worth one more week in the stash. Both fit the same profile as Kincaid and Likely: talented receivers waiting on a full-time role.

Week 2 Fantasy Football Wide Receiver Rankings and Tiers: Jordan Addison bounce-back BOOM?!16 Sep 202600:41:26

Ian Hartitz ranks his top 60 wide receivers for Week 2, sorts them into six tiers, and stops after every tier for a bigger question about the position. Puka Nacua opens at WR1, DJ Moore lands at WR9 in his first Week 2 as a Bill, Drake London sits at WR26, and Jordan Addison comes in at WR37 with a matchup that makes him this week's exception.

The Addison case in one line: he ran one of the deepest route trees in the league in Week 1 at 13.8 average route depth, and downfield targets are usually a warning sign rather than a selling point. Against a man-heavy Bears secondary, Ian has him as the exception to his own rule.

THE SIX TIERS
Tier 1: Ballers, shot callers
Tier 2: Locked-in starters, all league shapes
Tier 3: WR1 upside with a question mark
Tier 4: We are saying there's a chance
Tier 5: Flex plays with a scary floor
Tier 6: Best of the rest

THE KEY QUESTIONS
Which receivers had the most downfield-oriented roles in Week 1? Every receiver with an average route depth of 12-plus yards is on screen, with the note that a deep role only hurts when it comes instead of a full-time one. That is the flag on Brian Thomas Jr., Alec Pierce and Marvin Harrison Jr., and the reason Addison is the exception.

Who are the under-the-radar bench stashes for deep leagues? Nine names, all 20% owned or lower on both ESPN and Yahoo, ranked in Ian's order. Dontayvion Wicks, Adonai Mitchell and Rashod Bateman are the preferred Week 2 starts, and Tre' Harris rises to the top of that group if Ladd McConkey (ribs) cannot go.

Which matchups and totals move the needle? Cowboys at Commanders carries the second-highest total on the slate, behind only Lions at Bills. And if McConkey sits, Quentin Johnston moves up to roughly WR29 or WR30.

Week 2 Fantasy Football Running Back Rankings and Tiers: Time for Christian McCaffrey managers to panic?16 Sep 202600:29:51

📈 Get 40% OFF Ian's Rotowire 2026 Draft Kit — promo code IAN40
👉 https://www.rotowire.com/football/draft-kit/ian/?ref=owmwyje

Week 2 is here, and one week of football has already changed how people feel about their running backs. Ian Hartitz ranks his top 48 backs for Week 2, sorts them into six tiers, and stops after every tier for a bigger question about the position. First up: everyone who drafted Christian McCaffrey at RB3 should take a step back and chill out. The 49ers gave him 18 combined carries and targets in Week 1, in Australia, while he was dealing with cramps, and they still look like one of the best offenses in the NFL.

Also in here: Jahmyr Gibbs opens at RB1 after 33.6 PPR points without an explosive play, Bijan Robinson leads the entire league at a 53% target share, Bucky Irving lands at RB19, Travis Etienne at RB24, and the tier six handcuffs worth stashing are all available in at least 65% of ESPN and Yahoo leagues.

THE SIX TIERS
Tier 1: Elite talents with fantasy-friendly workloads
Tier 2: Top 15 options with a little cause for concern
Tier 3: Clear lead backs you should be starting
Tier 4: We are saying there's a chance
Tier 5: Your opponent is not scared that you're starting this guy
Tier 6: Handcuffs and bad flex plays

THE KEY QUESTIONS
Which backs had a true workhorse role in Week 1? Every team's RB1, RB2 and RB3 is on screen with snap share, rushes and targets, so you can pause on your own situation.
Who has the best and worst on-paper matchups for Week 2? Using 2025 plus Week 1 of 2026, the Seahawks, Jaguars, Texans, Chiefs, Patriots and Broncos have been toughest on running backs, and the Bengals, Cowboys and Bills have been the softest.
Which backs benefit in the passing game against zone-heavy defenses? Last week's reception overs went two for three, and Ian names this week's targets.
Which defensive fronts stood out in Week 1? Measured by time to pressure rather than pressure rate, because the question is how fast they get there.
Who did the most with their touches in Week 1? Touchdowns, explosive plays and tackles avoided divided by carries and targets, so the 30-touch backs do not run away with it.
Which under-rostered handcuffs should you stash?

Week 2 Fantasy Football Quarterback Rankings and Tiers: Respect Brock Purdy!15 Sep 202600:27:43

Week 2 is here, so it is time to overreact to 60 minutes of football. Ian Hartitz ranks his top 32 quarterbacks for Week 2, sorts them into six tiers, and stops after every tier for a bigger question about the position. And put some respect on Brock Purdy's name: he has averaged north of 20 fantasy points per game since Week 10 last season and ranks first in the Super Bowl era in yards per attempt and passer rating.

TIER 1: EASY 20+ FANTASY POINT UPSIDE
Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Jalen Hurts, Brock Purdy, Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels.
Key question: who has the best and worst on-paper matchups this week? Over the last 12 months the Cowboys, Jets and Commanders stand out as the three worst defenses in EPA per dropback and fantasy points allowed to QBs, with the Titans, Cardinals and Bengals not far behind. The Vikings, Bills, Chargers, Seahawks, Texans and Browns have been the toughest. Whoever plays the Cowboys, start them, and this week that is Jayden Daniels.

TIER 2: WE BELIEVE IN YOU, BUT THERE'S JUST ONE PROBLEM
Justin Herbert, Trevor Lawrence, Drake Maye, Jordan Love, Dak Prescott, Joe Burrow.
Key question: who have been the NFL's best fantasy QBs over the last half season? Since Week 10 of last season Trevor Lawrence is the QB1, followed by Josh Allen and Brock Purdy, the only three averaging more than 20 fantasy points per game. Caleb Williams and Jaxson Dart are inside the top six, and Bryce Young sits ahead of Patrick Mahomes. Burrow is QB12 because of the Texans defense: Jordan Love and Dak Prescott should see similar volume in far better matchups.

TIER 3: THERE'S DEFINITELY A CHANCE
Jaxson Dart, Jared Goff, Bo Nix, Baker Mayfield, Tyler Shough.
Key question: what new schemes showed the most and least promise in Week 1? Zac Robinson's Buccaneers ranked second in both play-action rate and pre-snap shift and motion, and joined the 49ers and Jaguars as the only offenses inside the top 10 in both rushing and passing success rate. The problem was four lost fumbles. The Lions and Chargers also stood out as smart offenses, while the Bengals landed in the bottom-left corner of the chart, right where they always seem to be.

TIER 4: FEELS TOO LOW, BUT IS IT REALLY?
Matthew Stafford, Bryce Young, Malik Willis, Carson Wentz, Patrick Mahomes.
Key question: what teams might have bad offensive lines? Using rush yards before contact per carry and time to pressure allowed, the Chiefs and Chargers were the two worst lines in Week 1, while the 49ers, Rams, Bears, Jets and Raiders looked like the best. Mahomes ran for a touchdown on the opening drive, but his 27 pass attempts were tied for his fewest in any game since 2023, and between the line, the weapons and the passing volume, Ian cannot rank him high yet.

TIER 5: SUPERFLEX ONLY
C.J. Stroud, Jacoby Brissett, Daniel Jones, Geno Smith, Aaron Rodgers.
DST: Ian is sticking with the Ravens for the foreseeable future. If you need another option, the Chiefs DST should be on waiver wires, with the Colts, Dolphins and Raiders up next and the Jets, Falcons and Cardinals in Weeks 9 through 11.
Key question: what offenses are implied to score the most points this week? Vegas has the Bears 5th, the Chiefs 6th and the Chargers 8th, and is looking past Denver's Week 1 at 13th. The Bengals (19th, at Houston) and Jaguars (21st, at Denver) are down, which is why Burrow and Trevor Lawrence sit lower than they would in neutral spots. The Jets are 25th and the Cardinals 27th.

TIER 6: DREW LOCK AND SOME BUMS
Drew Lock, Cam Ward, Kirk Cousins, Deshaun Watson, Cooper Rush.

Week 1 Beyond the Box Score Breakdown: DK Metcalf air yards, George Pickens drops, MORE14 Sep 202600:14:24

Football is back, and so is heartache. Ian Hartitz goes beyond the box score on Week 1 with the Sheesh Report: every near miss you only caught if you watched every single game. Players stopped at the 1-yard line, the unrealized air yards leaderboard, touchdowns wiped out by penalties, the biggest DPIs, the interception doctor, and the drops and better ball touchdowns that would have been a lot cooler as six points. New episode every Monday after the slate.

UNREALIZED AIR YARDS
Aaron Rodgers was partying like it was 2015 again, with his highest single-game average target depth since he joined the Steelers. DK Metcalf left 136 unrealized air yards on the field, and replay showed AJ Terrell pulling his arm down on a potential 40-plus yard catch. DJ Moore led the week with 170, followed by Roman Wilson (147), Metcalf (136), Puka Nacua (133) and George Pickens (127).

GEORGE PICKENS AND THE BIG DROPS
Pickens busted in the box score, but he is still a major part of the Cowboys offense: 127 unrealized air yards, a 38-yard DPI and two big drops worth about 60 more yards. Jameson Williams, Chris Olave, Romeo Doubs and Tez Johnson also let big plays bounce off their hands.

TOUCHDOWNS CALLED BACK AND DPI TRACKER
Braelon Allen, Cooper Kupp, Ja'Kobi Lane, Darren Waller and Mitchell Evans all had scores taken off the board. On the DPI side, Tre Harris (48 yards), DJ Moore, Pickens, Roman Wilson and AJ Brown all drew flags that could have been much bigger days.

Week 1 is here after seven long, cold months. Ian Hartitz ranks his top 60 receivers for the opener, sorts them into seven tiers, and stops at the end of every tier for a bigger question about the position. QB, RB, WR and TE ranks and tiers, every single week.

TIER 1: THE BIG FOUR
Puka Nacua, Ja'Marr Chase, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jaxon Smith-Njigba.
Key question: was 2025 an outlier year for JSN? He took 35.8% of his team's targets in the games he played; the only other receiver to clear 35% in a decade was 2017 DeAndre Hopkins at 35.3%. He also commanded 49.4% of Seattle's air yards, past 2022 DJ Moore's 47.9% 10-year high. Klint Kubiak is gone and Rashid Shaheed has a full offseason in, so the share can come down without the player falling far.

TIER 2: BADASS WR1s
A.J. Brown, CeeDee Lamb, Nico Collins, Justin Jefferson, Chris Olave, DeVonta Smith, Drake London, Malik Nabers.
Key question: which Week 1 matchups profile as back-and-forth shootouts? Ian wants a total of 48 or better with a spread inside six: 49ers at Rams (LAR -3.5, 48.5), Buccaneers at Bengals (CIN -3.5, 50.5), Saints at Lions (DET -7, 49.5) and Cowboys at Giants (DAL -2.5, 48.5). The Nabers workload is the open question, though releasing Darius Slayton reads as a good sign against last year's 32nd-ranked defense versus receivers.

TIER 3: STARTING WITH CONFIDENCE
George Pickens, Tee Higgins, Jaylen Waddle, Ladd McConkey, Zay Flowers, Rashee Rice, Davante Adams, Mike Evans.
Key question: which receivers have the best and worst early-season schedules? Best rooms through four weeks: Eagles, Saints, Ravens, Giants, Jets, which lifts Dontayvion Wicks, Devaughn Vele, Rashod Bateman, Malachi Fields and Adonai Mitchell. Toughest: Buccaneers, Jaguars, Bears, Steelers, Lions.

TIER 4: THERE'S JUST A LITTLE BIT OF CONCERN
Tetairoa McMillan, Garrett Wilson, Jameson Williams, Christian Watson, Parker Washington, DJ Moore, Emeka Egbuka, Luther Burden, Rome Odunze, Terry McLaurin.
Key question: what are the key Week 1 injuries at receiver? The Bears secondary McMillan draws is banged up everywhere: corners Kyler Gordon (calf, PUP), Jaylon Jones (IR), Jaylon Johnson (arm) and Tyrique Stevenson, plus safeties Coby Bryant (knee, IR) and Xavier Woods. Ian runs the full league-wide list and is most worried about Rome Odunze, who did not practice Monday.

TIER 5: FLEX PLAYS YOU SHOULD FEEL GOOD ABOUT
Chris Godwin, Quentin Johnston, Jayden Reed, Stefon Diggs, Marvin Harrison Jr., DK Metcalf, Josh Downs, Brian Thomas Jr., Jordan Addison.
Key question: who were the best and worst teams against slot receivers last season? The five worst were the Bears, 49ers, Colts, Commanders and Cowboys, which is good news for T-Mac and Jalen Coker, Puka, a Zay Flowers breakout, DeVonta Smith and Nabers. The five best: Vikings, Eagles, Falcons, Browns, Saints.

TIER 6: WE'RE SAYING THERE'S A CHANCE
KC Concepcion, De'Zhaun Stribling, Carnell Tate, Matthew Golden, Michael Wilson, Courtland Sutton, Jalen Coker, Alec Pierce, Michael Pittman.
Key question: can Michael Wilson keep getting away with it in 2026? He was the WR4 in PPR points per game from Week 8 on at 18.6, and only Puka outscored him over the last eight weeks. The case against: 0.67 yards per route run, dead last, in the eight games Marvin Harrison played 70% of snaps, against 2.33 and 12th with Harrison out. His 57.6 PPR points while trailing by three-plus scores is the highest of any receiver in five years.

TIER 7: WR5 LONGSHOTS
Jakobi Meyers, Tre Tucker, Rashid Shaheed, Wan'Dale Robinson, Devaughn Vele, Romeo Doubs, Khalil Shakir, Xavier Worthy, Makai Lemon, Rashod Bateman, Denzel Boston, Tre Harris.
Key question: which receivers have full-time roles and are dirt cheap in DFS? Under $4,000 on DraftKings: Rashod Bateman ($3,900), Tre Harris ($3,800), Jahan Dotson ($3,700), Jaylin Noel ($3,600), Devaughn Vele ($3,500), Chris Bell ($3,200) and Caleb Douglas ($3,000). Vele is the one Ian is most pumped about.

Week 1 Fantasy Football RB Rankings and Tiers: D'Andre Swift to the MOON07 Sep 202600:24:55

Ian Hartitz ranks 48 running backs for Week 1, sorts them into seven tiers, and stops at the end of every tier for a bigger question about the position. QB, RB, WR and TE ranks and tiers, every week.

TIER 1: THE BIG THREE
Jahmyr Gibbs, Bijan Robinson, Christian McCaffrey.
Key question: what does Vegas say about the scoring upside of these offenses? Implied team totals are the reason people were happy to take Gibbs over Bijan at 1.01. Lions 28.3, second on the slate. Falcons 19.3, 28th. 49ers 22.5. Gibbs has averaged 25.1 half PPR points in the eight career games David Montgomery missed or played under 25% of snaps.

TIER 2: NO-DOUBT RB1s
Chase Brown, Saquon Barkley, Derrick Henry, De'Von Achane, Omarion Hampton, James Cook, Jonathan Taylor.
Key question: which coaching staffs are most willing to leave one back on the field for the whole game? That is the case for Taylor and especially Achane surviving shaky offensive environments. Both staffs simply left them out there last season. Barkley has posted 26-146-2, 29-150-2, 15-118-3 and 21-132-1 rushing lines in four games against Washington since joining the Eagles.

TIER 3: LEAD BACKS WITH SMASHABLE MATCHUPS
Javonte Williams, D'Andre Swift, Travis Etienne, Breece Hall.
Key question: what are the biggest injury situations to monitor at RB? Sixteen of them, from Jeanty's ankle to Kamara's knee. The one that matters most here is Kyle Monangai's knee, which is what puts Swift in a must-start RB1 role against a Panthers defense that ranked 27th in EPA allowed per rush.

TIER 4: YOU'RE STARTING THEM, BUT THERE'S A QUESTION
Kenneth Walker, Kyren Williams, Ashton Jeanty, David Montgomery, Bucky Irving, Cam Skattebo, Jeremiyah Love, Rhamondre Stevenson, Jadarian Price, Quinshon Judkins.
Key question: which backs project extra nicely for receptions against zone-heavy defenses? Backs eat into wide receiver target share against zone, and last season's three most zone-heavy defenses all kept their coordinators: Panthers versus Swift, Seahawks versus Stevenson, Rams versus McCaffrey. Ian likes the over on Stevenson 2.5 and McCaffrey 4.5.

TIER 5: LEAD RUNNING BACKS, PROBABLY
MarShawn Lloyd, Bhayshul Tuten, Rico Dowdle, Jaylen Warren, J.K. Dobbins, Tony Pollard.
Key question: what do RotoWire Projections say about these muddled backfields? Green Bay and Tennessee have clear leaders, Jacksonville tips to Tuten, and Pittsburgh and Denver split close to even. In a tight start/sit call between one of these backs and a WR2 or WR3, Ian is taking the pass catcher.

TIER 6: FLEX OPTIONS
Blake Corum, Jordan Mason, Jacory Croskey-Merritt, TreVeyon Henderson, Chuba Hubbard, Jonathon Brooks, Rachaad White, Kenneth Gainwell, RJ Harvey, Chris Rodriguez, Aaron Jones.
Key question: who has the best and worst matchups in combined RB yards before contact per carry? Best of the week: Rams, Bears and Cowboys. Worst: Browns, Packers and Raiders. It lines up with RotoWire's preseason offensive line ranks.

TIER 7: HANDCUFFS AND DART THROWS
Keaton Mitchell, Mike Washington, Woody Marks, Tyjae Spears, Tyler Allgeier, Ray Davis, Tank Bigsby.
Key question: who are the top five under-rostered handcuffs to stash? All five are available in over 70% of leagues. Tank Bigsby 35% rostered on Yahoo and 19% on ESPN, Brian Robinson 26% and 27%, Kaelon Black 19% and 10%, Ray Davis 16% and 10%, Malik Davis 4% and 3%. Use the bench spot on a back who is one injury from the top of the waiver wire, not on a second kicker.

High-stakes fantasy draft from the 1.08 with Dwain McFarland05 Sep 202601:38:39

Ian Hartitz and Fantasy Life Director of Analytics Dwain McFarland draft an FFPC high-stakes team from the 1.08 in tight end premium scoring, pick by pick, with the reasoning on every call.

Brock Bowers or Christian McCaffrey at 1.08? In TE premium, with both guys already sitting on plenty of their teams, the answer was Bowers. From there it was two running backs sooner rather than later, a receiver room built almost entirely between rounds six and nine, and a late-round plan that shores up the backup running backs before touching the onesie positions.

THE FULL SQUAD
1.08 Brock Bowers, TE
Round 2 Omarion Hampton, RB
Round 3 Travis Etienne, RB
Round 4 Tee Higgins, WR
Round 5 Tucker Kraft, TE
Rounds 6 to 9 Mike Evans, DK Metcalf, Quentin Johnston, Makai Lemon
Backup running backs Chris Rodriguez, Tank Bigsby, Brian Robinson, Malik Davis
Quarterbacks Brock Purdy and Jordan Love
Late darts Chris Bell, Oronde Gadsden II, Evan Engram
Ravens DST and Andres Borregales, the Venezuelan Viper

Also in here: why Labor Day weekend is one of the best weekends of the year to draft, what happens to ADP once the grinders move out of the Gorillas and into the Main Event, and the FFPC wrinkle that lets you swap a Wednesday or Thursday game out of your lineup after you have seen the score.

Check out all of Dwain's work at fantasylife.com. Ian and Dwain are live every Sunday night at 8pm ET.

High-stakes fantasy draft from the 1.10 with Dwain McFarland!04 Sep 202601:34:07

Ian Hartitz and Dwain McFarland, Director of Analytics and Lead Analyst at
Fantasy Life, draft a full 20-round FFPC team for real money from the 1.10.
Every pick and every debate, in real time.

This is tight end premium, so tight ends get 1.5 points per reception, and it
changes the board completely. Worth saying out loud before you copy anything
here: do not take Brock Bowers this early in your standard home league. The
scoring is doing the work.

THE BUILD

Four running backs and four receivers are gone by the time it gets back around,
Christian McCaffrey slides all the way to the nine behind James Cook and
Jonathan Taylor, and Brock Bowers falls to 1.10. In tight end premium that
decision makes itself.

Straight back to running back after that with Kenneth Walker and Travis Etienne,
then three receivers in a row: Jaylen Waddle, Christian Watson and Parker
Washington. Quentin Johnston and Matthew Golden follow, with Rico Dowdle in
round seven. Five receivers between rounds four and nine, which is the shape
Ian and Dwain talk about wanting every year.

No quarterback at all until round ten, and then it is Jayden Daniels, who both
of them still have as a top-five option at the position. Sam Darnold backs him
up in round seventeen.

Mark Andrews falls to the end of round eleven, which with Bowers already on the
roster in a tight end premium format is close to unfair. Darren Waller gets
tacked on in round nineteen.

The rest of it: Keaton Mitchell in round twelve for the standalone value, Ray
Davis and Brian Robinson Jr. as the handcuffs, then two receivers who went in
the first round of the NFL draft coming late in Jordyn Tyson at fourteen and
Omar Cooper Jr. at sixteen. Ravens defense as always, and Eddy Pineiro mostly
for the free look that FFPC allows.

BULLY Tight End Fantasy Football Draft for $1 million with ETR's John Daigle02 Sep 202601:54:54

$1,000,000 is on the line in this FFPC contest, and John Daigle and I decided the
move was tight end premium: get two of the best tight ends in the league locked up
before the rest of the room can react, then build everything else around it.

This is a real, live 17-team draft, not a tape study. We argue through zero-RB
builds, which rookie running backs we trust and which ones we are fading, how deep
the running back room needs to be by the middle rounds, the wide receivers actually
worth fighting for, and why we are in no rush to take a quarterback. Then the draft
opens up into the deep rounds, where the real difference between winning and losing
this format gets made.

If you want to see the picks, watch the draft. This description will not spoil it.

Nine guys sitting on waivers or in the back of your draft queue who should not be there. Every one of them is rostered under 30% on Yahoo and/or ESPN, and I think that gap closes fast once games count. The headline: Tank Bigsby, one injury away from the top of every waiver column. Ray Davis, a pure handcuff that rostership and draft ranks are not treating like one.

Terrance Ferguson ran a route rate north of 70% in Week 1, which is a top-10 tight end signal as early as Week 2. And the Ravens defense: fifth in my rankings, a real top-six unit by how they finished last season, and still sitting at 58% rostered.

6 BIG Preseason Trends: Mike McDaniel's Chargers are ready to COOK01 Sep 202600:22:44

Preseason snaps are fake until they are not. Six things showed up on tape this August that I think carry into Week 1, and a few of them should change how you draft. The Chargers are the headline. Mike McDaniel has flipped this offense in a single preseason: outside zone from 17.6% and 29th in the league to 56.1% and first, pre-snap motion from 18th to first, play action from 17th to second, multi tight end from 31st to fourth. Motion and play action are the cheat codes of modern NFL offense and Los Angeles just went from bottom third to top of the league in both.

Five players whose price moved between August 1 and August 24. For each one Ian Hartitz lays out why they moved up, why the move makes sense, why it does not, and then a verdict on whether the new number is worth paying.

DE'ZHAUN STRIBLING, WR61 to WR51. A perfect storm of the Ricky Pearsall injury, great camp reports and an awesome preseason: 13 targets and an 11-109-0 line on only 22 routes, plus a drop that could have been a touchdown. The case for is that Kyle Shanahan consistently makes more with less in this passing game, from Richie James to Jauan Jennings to Kendrick Bourne. The case against is that Stribling still profiles as the No. 4 option behind McCaffrey, Mike Evans and George Kittle. BUYING as a borderline WR3.

JONATHON BROOKS, RB34 to RB29. Good camp reports and a Chuba Hubbard hamstring. Dave Canales says that if Chuba is good to go it will be a committee in Week 1, and Brooks dominated first-team usage in the preseason. But Chuba is not dead, the burst has not looked great, and RotoWire grades that offensive line 29th. SELLING at the Round 5-6 price. J

ACORY CROSKEY-MERRITT, RB40 to RB37. More clarity on the pecking order, and ambiguous backfields inevitably create value once a leader emerges. Washington ranked 5th in scoring in 2025. BUYING as the top back in that backfield.

MARSHAWN LLOYD, RB58 to RB50. He got through camp healthy, which nobody was assuming, and he is the clear No. 2 in a usually good Green Bay offense at 71% of snaps to Chris Brooks's 29%. BUYING as a great handcuff.

TERRANCE FERGUSON, TE27 to TE20. Rams tight ends scored the second-most PPR points in the league last season, and Ferguson led all tight ends in yards per reception at 21, with 52% of his targets coming 20-plus yards downfield against 21% for the next closest. BUYING as his favorite late-round tight end click in fantasy. Rankings, tiers and the Draft Assistant are all in the draft kit, linked at the top of this description.

Preseason Week 2 Fantasy Football Takeaways: How high is too high to rank De'Zhaun Stribling?24 Aug 202601:22:28

Week 2 of the preseason supplied plenty of answers and plenty of questions. Ian Hartitz goes team by team through all 32, covering the usage and key plays from every quarterback, running back, wide receiver and tight end room, then gives the one fantasy takeaway that actually matters for each.

It is still August, so keep your composure out there. Usage matters more than performance in these glorified scrimmages. The point is working out who each team's starters actually are instead of trusting those silly unofficial depth charts.

Some of what came out of it:

De'Zhaun Stribling is the headliner. He caught 4 of 5 targets for 46 yards and dropped what could have been a 33-yard touchdown, and the bull case is clear enough that he is up to WR38 for Ian and in play as a Round 7-8 pick.

Ashton Jeanty luckily avoided long-term injury, but Ian would be hesitant to draft him earlier than Round 3 until there is a timeline for a return. Mike Washington keeps putting together one preseason highlight after another, ripping a 33-yard run and taking a near every-down role at an 85% snap rate.

RJ Harvey's path to smashing his ADP is to keep on with exactly the receiving goodness he showed, taking a 22-yard touchdown catch and playing every snap alongside Jaylen Waddle and Courtland Sutton. Waddle himself lined up inside on 66% of his snaps, a huge jump from 18% with the Dolphins in 2025.

Woody Marks took all 10 snaps with the Houston starters for 43 yards and a 20-yard score. Kaelon Black played 83% of snaps with Brock Purdy and four of six third downs. Ja'Kobi Lane looks like Baltimore's No. 3 receiver with Rashod Bateman probably not facing punishment from the NFL. And Jaylen Warren and Rico Dowdle split Pittsburgh's work almost exactly evenly, which keeps both worthwhile in the Round 7-8 range.

Plus Shedeur Sanders outplaying Deshaun Watson in Cleveland, Chicago leaning into two-tight-end sets, Tyrone Tracy's rough August continuing in New York, and a whole lot more. Rankings, tiers and the Draft Assistant are all in the draft kit, linked at the top of this description.

Ian Hartitz picks his favorite spot in the first round and then proves it, going pick by pick through what is realistically on the board in every round from the 1.01, and then running two live mock drafts to show the roster it actually builds.

The case for the top of the round is simple. In the first five or six rounds you can find pockets of players you are reasonably confident will be there, and the 1.01 is the only pick nobody can take from you. This year that pick is Jahmyr Gibbs, who has the most crystal clear boom profile in fantasy football: a player in his prime, in an offense finally willing to feed him a workhorse role, with no David Montgomery in Detroit to worry about any more. And Bills aside, the Lions have been the most consistent high-scoring offense of the last five years.

Fantasy football handcuffs: Where would every backup RB rank if every starting RB took a season-long vacation?19 Aug 202601:12:14

Not injuries. Let's say every starting running back in the NFL won the lottery, retired, or just took a season-long vacation. Where would his backup finish? Ian Hartitz ranks all 32 of them, one per team, in five tiers, counting up from the guy he would want most. The board on screen fills in as he goes.

5 Must-Draft Fantasy Football SLEEPER Wide Receivers18 Aug 202600:29:46

Five wide receivers going outside the top 120 in home leagues that Ian Hartitz is willing to make an exception for. For each one: where Sleeper, ESPN and Yahoo are drafting him, where Ian has him ranked, and why the gap exists.

KC Concepcion is the headliner. A great preseason debut, lightning in a bottle as an all-purpose weapon, and Todd Monken's new Zay Flowers. The market has him between WR50 and WR63; Ian has him WR46 at pick 99, inside his top 100 and well ahead of all three sites. The one catch is that it would be a lot cooler if this team had a quarterback.

Matthew Golden is the favorite to work alongside Christian Watson in two-receiver sets, and Ian's WR44 ahead of Makai Lemon, Xavier Worthy and Alec Pierce. 361 receiving yards as a rookie is light, but he had competition and a shoulder issue, and if we trust Love and LaFleur we should probably like the cheapest clear-cut starter too.

Rashid Shaheed got three years and $51 million to be New Orleans' No. 2, and Darnold and Goff are the only quarterbacks over 4,000 yards in each of the last two seasons. Ian's WR53, though he thinks the price sits closer to Shaheed's floor than his ceiling.

Tre' Harris is the value: WR74 on Sleeper and undrafted on both ESPN and Yahoo. Per ESPN's camp reporting the Chargers are not planning to add a veteran receiver, he rested alongside Ladd McConkey and Quentin Johnston, and in eight games at Ole Miss in 2024 he put up 1,000 yards and seven scores. Ian's WR58.

And Travis Hunter, where the answer depends entirely on the price. The No. 2 pick from last year's draft is often free, everything out of Jacksonville says he stays involved, and if there was ever a high-end receiver handcuff to keep on your bench this is it. But at the Sleeper price he's fine and inside the top 120 Ian is out.

KEY Fantasy Football Preseason Week 1 Takeaways For All 32 Teams17 Aug 202601:29:37

After six long, cold months we finally had a full slate of NFL football back on our screens. Ian Hartitz goes team by team through all 32, covering the usage and key plays from every quarterback, running back, wide receiver and tight end room, then gives the one fantasy takeaway that actually matters for each.

It is August, so keep your composure out there. Usage matters more than performance in these glorified scrimmages. The point is working out who each team's starters actually are instead of trusting those silly unofficial depth charts.

Some of what came out of it:

Jeremiyah Love hit his signature hurdle inside his first 30 minutes of football and looked the part as the No. 3 overall pick, but he has a high ankle sprain and is not expected to play again this preseason, which does drop him down the ranks.

MarShawn Lloyd was THE running back in Green Bay with Josh Jacobs and Chris Brooks out, playing all 12 snaps of the first two drives. Tank Bigsby played every snap of Philadelphia's first three drives with Saquon out and, encouragingly, was not taken off the field on pass downs. Washington fed rookie Kaytron Allen 23 carries, which is a wild number for a preseason game.

In Buffalo the real story might not be DJ Moore, whose ankle is a genuine worry, but Khalil Shakir finally getting downfield usage. Cincinnati leaned into under-center play action on 43% of Joe Burrow's dropbacks after doing so on just 8.3% of them last season. Chicago's Luther Burden was moving laterally a week after the groin injury, and Ian is buying the dip.

Plus Anthony Richardson's full first half in Indianapolis, Emmett Johnson and Cyrus Allen in Kansas City, KC Concepcion moving up to WR46, whether Fernando Mendoza should just start Week 1 in Las Vegas, and a whole lot more.

WASHED? 10 veterans who could be fantasy football BUSTS16 Aug 202600:54:42

There are a handful of players who get the same response every time you suggest they might do something good this season. That guy is washed.

Father Time is undefeated, and the overwhelming majority of top fantasy performers have been under 30. So Ian Hartitz takes the 10 veterans he keeps getting yelled at about, works out how bright the red flags actually are, scores every one of them on the WASHED SCALE out of 10, and figures out who benefits if the player really is finished.

BIGGEST Fantasy Football Questions for the Vikings with Matthew Coller14 Aug 202600:36:13

Ian Hartitz is joined by Matthew Coller of Purple Insider, author of "Football Is a Numbers Game", to work through the fantasy questions that actually decide your draft in Minnesota.

Matthew was at every single practice of the quarterback competition and charted every pass, so this is what he saw with his own eyes rather than what the box score says.

Some of what came out of it:

Kyler Murray is QB1, and it was a real competition that was not close. The total rep count over about nine hard practices came out 50/50, which is not what a locked-in starter's camp looks like, but Murray played par golf across those nine holes and J.J. McCarthy was five over. Murray moves through his progressions faster and the accuracy gap is the thing that decided it.

On Justin Jefferson: the camp looks much more like 2022 through 2024 than last season. Ian's numbers have Murray at a 9% better catchable ball rate to receivers than what Jefferson dealt with last year, over the first five weeks with screens removed. And the two plays Matthew keeps coming back to are a fourth-down heave that he calls a bad throw, which Jefferson goes and wins anyway, and a deep corner where the ball was gone before Jefferson had even broken.

On the middle of the field: there are always going to be realities to Murray's size. But when he sees it and throws on time he was something like 30 for 41 in the intermediate middle in 2024. It just was not a high percentage of his passes, and Kevin O'Connell's job is building the throwing lanes for it.

Jordan Addison is in a prove-it year with an extension in front of him, off a season with more drops than he has ever had. Jauan Jennings might be the second best receiver Murray has ever played with, and he is the WR3 here.

Plus the backfield, where Matthew clears up a quote of his that went around the fantasy world in a form he did not say, the rookie Demond Claiborne, and a bold call to finish.

Follow Matthew at @MatthewColler, read him at Purple Insider, and pick up "Football Is a Numbers Game".

The BIGGEST Fantasy Football Questions Facing The Green Bay Packers with Eli Berkovits13 Aug 202600:24:48

Ian Hartitz is joined by Eli Berkovits, who covers the Packers for 247 Sports and Packer Report and co-hosts the Pack-A-Day Podcast, to work through the fantasy questions that actually decide your draft in Green Bay.

Boots on the ground beats a depth chart. Eli has been at camp, so this is what he has seen with his own eyes rather than what the box score says.

Some of what came out of it:

MarShawn Lloyd looks explosive and is making plays as a receiver, and with Josh Jacobs out he is the running back right now. He played 11 snaps in the one preseason game and turned them into four targets and six rush attempts, and he is still basically free at the end of Yahoo and ESPN drafts.

When Jacobs is back it stays his show, especially at the goal line, but Eli does not rule out something closer to a committee than the last two years. LaFleur has the history for it, going back to Dion Lewis and Derrick Henry in Tennessee and then Jones, Williams and Dillon in Green Bay.

On the receivers: Doubs and Wicks leaving has cleared the room out. When Eli was at camp, Matthew Golden looked like Jordan Love's first read on roughly 70% of plays. Watson is still his top target, Golden his next, then Reed. And the Jayden Reed two-tight-end dream has a hard number attached to it: Fantasy Points has him at one career target in those looks.

On the offense: LaFleur has emphasized getting to the line faster, and he told NFL Network that Love is the best pre-snap processor at calling out protections he has been around, Rodgers included.

And Tucker Kraft, back from the knee, passed the eye test. Eli calls him "a legitimate psychopath, in the best way possible", has him TE4 for 2026 behind Bowers, McBride and Loveland, and says he is the one Packer he wants in his drafts this year.

Plus a bold call to finish that has nothing to do with Green Bay.

Follow Eli at @BookOfEli_NFL, read him at 247 Sports and Packer Report, and listen to the Pack-A-Day Podcast.

How To DOMINATE Your Fantasy Draft From a Late Draft Position (1.09-1.12)12 Aug 202600:42:36

Ian Hartitz breaks down exactly how to attack a fantasy football draft from a late first round position, picks 1.09 through 1.12, then runs three full mock drafts from those spots to show what the finished rosters actually look like.

Using Yahoo ADP for the first five rounds in a full PPR league with two RBs and three WRs, the shape of the board at the turn is the whole story. Ian calls it the Great Wall of RBs: a few receivers go inside the first seven or eight picks, and then Cook, Jeanty, Achane, Walker and Henry come off the board in a run, with only a couple of receivers creeping into that range.

That is why he is happy to double-tap running back from these spots. Could Jefferson and Lamb boom and make it look silly? Sure. But one is not guaranteed a better quarterback situation than the one that made him a WR3 last season, and the other has a non-zero chance of being the second most productive receiver in his own offense. Give him James Cook, Saquon Barkley or Chase Brown instead.

Also covered: why Brock Bowers is a round 2 target rather than a pick at this turn, where Colston Loveland fits in the early part of round 4, the receiver values in rounds 3 and 4, and when a mid-round quarterback makes sense.

Then the three mocks: 1.09, the elite tight end build. James Cook and Chase Brown to open, Malik Nabers in round 3, then Colston Loveland at pick 40, with Kyler Murray waiting all the way until 136.

1.11, the hero RB build. Jonathan Taylor alone at running back early, then Justin Jefferson, DeVonta Smith, Jaylen Waddle and Mike Evans stacked up, with Rico Dowdle money-balling the RB2 spot and Isaiah Likely at tight end late.

1.12, the RB-RB build. Chase Brown and Saquon Barkley at the turn, three receivers behind them, and a more balanced middle-round approach at quarterback and tight end with Trevor Lawrence and Isaiah Likely. All three finished teams are shown side by side at the end.

5 Players High-Stakes Drafters Do NOT Love As Much as Home Fantasy Leagues11 Aug 202600:32:42

Ian Hartitz breaks down five players going noticeably EARLIER in home leagues on ESPN and Yahoo than they are in high-stakes formats like NFFC and FFPC, and why that gap can be a red flag on a player's 2026 fantasy upside.

There is a lot more money flying around in NFFC and FFPC than in ESPN and Yahoo leagues. Maybe that means we should follow it, maybe it does not. That is the question this video works through, one player at a time. And as Ian says up top: a player being on this list does not mean you cannot be in on him this year. It is still early August.

KEY Fantasy Questions Facing The Jaguars With Beat Reporter John Shipley10 Aug 202600:21:53

Ian Hartitz is joined by John Shipley, who has spent eight seasons on the Jacksonville beat, to work through the biggest fantasy questions facing the league's sixth-ranked scoring offense from last season.

Boots on the ground beats a depth chart. John has been at every practice, so this is training camp intel on the questions that actually decide your draft: who is even the RB1 here, whether last year's No. 2 overall pick is going to play enough offense to matter, and which receiver in a genuinely loaded room has earned Trevor Lawrence's trust.

Some of what came out of it:

The running back committee may not have an RB1 at all. At the team scrimmage Bhayshul Tuten worked between the 20s, Chris Rodriguez handled short yardage and LeQuint Allen was out there on basically every third down. Rodriguez is fully healthy again and John is not writing off his role.

On Travis Hunter, the raw camp reps tell the story. ESPN's Mike DiRocco has tracked him at around 90 11-on-11 reps at cornerback against 50-something at receiver. He is still going to play real offense, and this year he is being used outside and down the field rather than parked in the slot on screens.

Parker Washington has been the top connection of camp, and John thinks his 2026 can beat any season Christian Kirk gave this offense, Kirk's best being 84-1108-8 back in 2022.

Plus Brian Thomas Jr.'s much better camp, a real uptick in multi tight end looks with Nate Boerkircher freeing up Brenton Strange, and a bold call to finish.

6 Fantasy Football Players High-Stakes Drafters LOVE That Home Leagues HATE09 Aug 202600:37:56

Ian Hartitz breaks down six players going far cheaper in traditional home leagues on ESPN and Yahoo than they are in high-stakes formats like FFPC and NFFC. Some of these gaps are enormous, and a couple of them have changed his own opinion just from watching where the money is going Rankings, articles and the Draft Assistant are all at RotoWire.

5 Early-Round Fantasy Football Wide Receiver Bust Candidates07 Aug 202600:31:23

Ian Hartitz goes through five wide receivers carrying a top-24 ADP on ESPN who finished WR24 or worse in PPR points per game last season, and are tied to an offense Vegas has ranked 16th or worse for 2026. That combination is not a great one, so Ian builds the glass half full and glass half empty case for each, then gives an honest bust factor out of 10, one being not a bust at all and ten being a complete bust.

Why Every Round 1 Fantasy Football Pick Will SUCK in 202606 Aug 202600:44:32

It is August, which means it is time to talk ourselves out of every player we are about to draft. Ian Hartitz goes one by one through all 12 first round picks, builds the glass half empty case against each of them, and then gives an honest 1 to 10 rating on how much that risk actually scares him. Some of these are easy to dismiss. Ja'Marr Chase only breaks if Joe Burrow gets hurt again, and every receiver has that problem. Others are real. The bottom of the round is where it gets ugly, because Justin Jefferson and De'Von Achane are both tied to offenses nobody wants to bet on, and there are only 14 instances of a running back posting top-12 PPR numbers on a bottom-10 scoring offense over the entire last decade.
