Maybe You Don’t Need Another Business Strategy. You Need Discipline. | Ep. 12508 Sep 202600:20:16

In this episode of The Leaders' Table Podcast, Lindsay Fletcher challenges the common refrain among Christian women in business: that what’s missing is another strategy. Instead, she invites us to consider that the real issue might be a discipline problem.

We often scramble for new offers, marketing tactics, or platforms, mistaking frantic activity for productivity. Lindsay digs into the connection between faith, discipline, stewardship, and leadership, grounded in 2 Timothy 1:7, which reminds us God has given us power, love, and self-discipline.

Hear why vision demands discipline, motivation alone won’t sustain a business, and faithful leadership sometimes means showing up for the hard, ordinary work—sales calls, follow-ups, relationship building—even when excitement wanes.

This conversation distinguishes necessary pivots from emotional reactions and urges patience for the seeds we’ve already sown to take root. Ultimately, it’s about who you’re becoming through the process of business building.

Key Questions Explored:

  • Are you pivoting out of fear or wisdom?
  • Where might impatience be masquerading as a strategic change?
  • What discipline do you need to faithfully lead what God has entrusted to you?
  • Who are you becoming as you build your business?

If you’re seeking more customers, revenue, or influence, this episode will help you reflect on developing the discipline to steward those blessings well instead of chasing constant new solutions.Follow the show for ongoing honest conversations about faith, leadership, money, stewardship, and growth for Christian women in business.

121. Are You Building the Business God Called You to Build?30 Jun 202600:14:23

Have you ever felt like you're doing everything the business experts tell you to do, but instead of feeling fulfilled, you feel exhausted?

In this personal episode of Small Business Growth Tools, I'm stepping away from sales training and marketing strategy to share a lesson God has been teaching me over the past few months.

After a season of nonstop launches, workshops, challenges, podcasting, YouTube, social media, and trying to "be everywhere," I realized something surprising: I had become the very business owner I've spent years encouraging others not to become.

Somewhere along the way, I started believing that visibility meant I had to be everywhere.

But visibility without purpose accomplishes nothing.

In this episode, I share what happened when I stepped back, why I unfollowed some of the biggest names in my industry, and how returning to the vision God originally gave me completely changed my perspective.

If you're a Christian woman in small business who feels tired, overwhelmed, or like you're constantly chasing the next marketing strategy, this conversation is for you.

119. The Surprising Thing Women Gained Inside Sell with Confidence | Sales Leadership for Christian Women02 Jun 202600:15:38

What if the biggest thing holding you back in sales isn’t your pricing, offer, or marketing—but how you see yourself?

In this episode, I share the key lessons from the first Sell With Confidence Challenge. After four days of live sales training, the women didn’t leave talking about scripts or closing techniques—they left talking about leadership.

They learned to overcome awkwardness in sales conversations, to stop seeing sales as pressure and start seeing it as serving others. They discovered how to communicate their value confidently and guide people to decisions that genuinely help them.

Inside this episode, you’ll discover:

  • Why confidence comes from preparation, not personality
  • The mindset shift that turns sales from “bothering” into serving
  • Why many Christian women struggle more with permission than integrity
  • How communication—not persuasion—is the missing link in sales
  • Why leadership is the true skill behind successful selling
  • How understanding buyer personalities transforms sales conversations

Hear stories from women who shifted from feeling unprepared or pushy to becoming confident leaders in their sales journeys.

If you’ve ever felt uncomfortable asking for the sale, worried about being too pushy, or heard “I need to think about it” more times than you’d like, this episode is for you.

Key Takeaways:

  • Confidence is built through preparation
  • Sales is service—not pressure
  • Communication is a leadership skill
  • Buyers want guidance, not convincing
  • Selling is really about leading

118. Number 1 Way to Double Your Sales (without more leads) in Small Local Business05 May 202600:13:22

#1 Way Christian Women Can Double Sales Without More Leads

----------------------

You don’t need more leads to grow your business. You need better follow-through.  In this episode, I’m breaking down the number one way to double, triple, even 10X your sales—and it has nothing to do with posting more, marketing more, or chasing more people.

It’s follow-up.

And before you brush that off like you’ve heard it before… I want you to really see what this is costing you.

On average, only about 2% of sales happen in the first conversation.

That means 98% of your potential clients don’t say yes right away.

And 80% of those people? They need 5 to 12 follow-ups before they decide.

Most of you are stopping after the first conversation, or worse, you’re ending with “let me know if you have any questions” and putting the responsibility on them. That’s where the sale dies.

In this episode, I walk you through a simple numbers breakdown that shows exactly how you’re leaving money on the table.

We look at what happens when 100 people contact your business and you only rely on first conversations.

And then what happens when you follow up just once… and then twice.

The difference is not small. In this example, it’s the difference between $200 and $600 with just two follow-ups.

That’s not a marketing or leads problem. This is a follow-up problem.  Most small business owners have never learned to sell, so they don't know how to set themselves up for expected follow up and/or they don't have a simple system so that people served and sales don't fall through the cracks.

The Sales Shift: You’re not missing leads. You’re missing follow-through.

Actionable Takeaways:

  • Set the expectation for follow-up during the first conversation
  • Stop saying “let me know” and start owning the next step
  • Build a simple system to track who to follow up with
  • Make follow-up feel expected, not awkward

101. Time Management, Stewardship & Return on Time Invested for Small Business with Lissa Figgins06 Jan 202600:39:30

In today’s episode of How to Grow My Small Business, I’m joined by my friend Lissa Figgins from Redeem Her Time, and this conversation is for every woman who’s ever said: “I don’t have enough time.”

Lisa calls herself an un-time management coach — because she believes time management isn’t the solution… it’s actually part of the problem.

We talk about how hustle culture trains us to measure our worth by what we get done, why busyness becomes a signal to the people we love (“I’m not available”), and how God calls us to steward time — not white-knuckle it.

This episode gets real. Lisa shares a powerful story about what her body was doing under chronic stress — and how it became a wake-up call that her “productivity” was actually costing her peace.

We also talk about:

  • ROTI: Return on Time Invested

  • Why being a “business owner” can quietly turn into being a “busyness owner”

  • The biblical difference between managing and stewarding

  • The 3 time shifts most people miss

  • Why multitasking is not your superpower

  • The question that changes everything: “What is it time for?”

If you’ve been craving clarity, margin, and a better way to grow your business without burning out… press play.

99. Uncommon: A Faith-Based Approach to Small Business Growth & Leadership in 202623 Dec 202500:14:20

As we close out 2025 and step toward a new year, I’m sharing something personal, prayer-led, and foundational for how I’m approaching business in 2026: my word of the year—UNCOMMON.

In this episode of How to Grow My Small Business, I walk you through how God gave me this word early, what it means biblically and practically, and how it’s shaping the way I’m thinking about business growth, relationships, income, community, and obedience in the year ahead.

If you’re a Christian entrepreneur, faith-led business owner, or small business leader who wants results that don’t come from hustle culture, burnout, or copying what everyone else is doing—this episode is for you.

We talk about what it really looks like to be set apart in business, how to build uncommon relationships instead of chasing visibility, and why faith + profit belong together when stewardship is done well.

In this episode, you’ll learn:
  • Why “uncommon” is my word for 2026 and how God revealed it

  • What uncommon means biblically (set apart, distinct, not conforming to the world)

  • How to pursue uncommon business results without doing more or being everywhere

  • What uncommon looks like in:

    • business relationships and community building

    • serving clients with excellence and discernment

    • income, stewardship, and money mindset

  • Why uncommon businesses are built on relationships—not algorithms

  • The difference between chasing money and stewarding revenue

  • What I’m intentionally leaving behind in 2025

  • How obedience (not pressure) will define my strategy in 2026

  • Reflection questions to help you discern your word for the year

Scripture referenced:
  • Romans 12:2 – Do not conform to the pattern of this world

  • Colossians 3:23–24 – Working with excellence as unto the Lord

Resources mentioned:
  • Screen-Free Challenge (21 Days) 👉 https://screenfreechallenge.biz A faith-based reset to remove social media from your phone and replace scrolling with sales and marketing actions that actually grow your business.

98. The BEST way to review 2025 & Plan for 2026 in your small business & life16 Dec 202500:13:04

As we wrap up 2025, I want to invite you to pause before you jump into goal setting, business planning, or strategy for 2026.

In this episode of How to Grow My Small Business, we’re talking about the one thing you need to do before planning for next year—and it has nothing to do with sales funnels, marketing statistics, or even your client work.

If you’re a small business owner, Christian entrepreneur, or faith-led leader who feels:

  • discouraged about how this year went

  • unsure whether it was a “good year” or a “bad year”

  • stuck replaying mistakes, missed goals, or stress

  • ready for growth but emotionally exhausted

This episode is for you.

I walk you through why our brains are wired to remember the hard things more than the good, how that affects how we evaluate our business and our lives, and how one simple reflection exercise can completely change how you remember this year—and how you plan the next one.

In this episode, we cover:
  • Why your brain remembers stress, mistakes, and fear more than wins

  • The science behind negative memory bias and how it impacts entrepreneurs

  • How faith and awareness help reframe how we evaluate our business year

  • The one exercise you should do before setting business goals for 2026

  • Why reviewing your photos and calendar can shift your mindset instantly

  • How false narratives (like “I didn’t do enough”) quietly sabotage confidence

  • Why reflection should come before goal setting and strategic planning

  • How to ask God what He wants for your business in the next season

  • Faith-based encouragement for business owners coming out of a hard year

Who this episode is for:
  • Christian entrepreneurs and faith-led business owners

  • Small business owners reflecting on the end of the year

  • Entrepreneurs planning goals for 2026

  • Business owners struggling with burnout, discouragement, or comparison

  • Leaders who want to grow their business without losing perspective or peace

Key takeaway:

Before you plan what’s next, take time to remember what actually happened.

Your brain won’t automatically remember the good—you have to lead it there on purpose.

This one step may completely change how you view 2025 and how you move into 2026.

97. Small Business Planning for 2026: Tracking leads to scale your income for Christian Entrerpeneurs09 Dec 202500:15:13

Episode 97 – Do More of What Works: How to Stop the Hamster Wheel and Grow on Purpose

Are you exhausted from doing all the things in your business… but not really seeing the results you want?

In this episode of How to Grow My Small Business, we’re wrapping up 2025 with a straight-talking, faith-fueled strategy session on one simple idea:

If you want different results, you have to do more of what works—and stop doing what doesn’t.

I share a powerful story Alex Hormozi told about a real estate agent who’s making roughly $13,000 an hour from Facebook Lives (yes, really)… and the wildly simple advice he gave her to scale.

Then we pull that principle into your business and walk through:

  • How to identify what’s actually working

  • How to spot what’s not working (even if you like doing it)

  • How to evaluate every task through a simple “sell or serve” filter

  • Why stewardship—not hustle—is the real growth strategy for Christian entrepreneurs

If you’re tired of running on the business hamster wheel and ready to act like the CEO and steward of your time, money, and gifts, this episode will give you the clarity (and the nudge) you need.

In this episode, you’ll learn:
  • 💡 The $10M Facebook Live example that proves you don’t always need a new strategy—you need more of what works

  • 🧮 How to track where your leads and sales are actually coming from (without a complicated system)

  • 🎯 The two questions I want you to ask about everything in your business:

    • Does it help me sell?

    • Does it help me serve?

  • 🛑 Why some of your favorite activities might be secretly holding your business back

  • 📈 How cutting just one low-ROI activity and reinvesting that time or money into a high-ROI one can create exponential growth

  • 🙏 What it looks like to move from “managing” your business to stewarding it as a Christian entrepreneur

Mentioned in this episode:
  • Free Live Workshop: 3 Things I Wish I Knew Before Starting a Business 📅 December 10, 2025 – 11:30 a.m. Central 👉 RSVP (and get the replay if you can’t join live): threethings.lindsayfletcher.co

I’ll be teaching the three things that would have saved me years of spinning my wheels:

  1. How to set a simple, realistic plan

  2. How to get leads

  3. How to follow up in a way that actually leads to sales

If you’re new here…

I’m Lindsay, a business and sales strategist for faith-led small business owners who want to grow without burning out. On How to Grow My Small Business, we talk about:

  • Sales that feel natural (not slimy)

  • Business growth rooted in stewardship and strategy

  • Time management and focus for real-life entrepreneurs

If you’re ready to build a business that actually works—and serves the people God’s called you to—hit follow so you don’t miss the next episode.

🎧 Listen in, then send this to a friend who’s ready to stop doing “all the things” and start doing more of what works.

96. Pursing Goals in Business with Gabe Cox02 Dec 202500:43:54

Today’s conversation with Gabe Cox from Red Hot Mindset was a masterclass in faith-fueled goals without hustle culture.

We kicked off with a reminder that I’m hosting a free workshop on December 10th, where I’ll be teaching the three things I wish I’d known before starting a business — especially after starting and stopping (aka failing) five or six businesses before I figured out what actually works to bring in customers and get paid.

Then we dove straight into the heart of this episode:

You do not have to build your business the way “they” say you should.

Living & Leading Outside of “Guru Culture”

Gabe reintroduced herself as a goal-planning and business strategist who helps entrepreneurs craft personalized game plans that fit their season, capacity, and values. Not the guru playbook. Not what “everyone” says you have to do.

She reminded us that everything starts with:

  • Knowing your priorities and values

  • Filtering every business decision through those

  • Asking: Is this life-giving and sustainable for the long run?

She shared her decision to get off social media, even though everyone says, “You have to be there to market.” For her, it came down to putting faith, family, and sustainability first and trusting that God’s strategy may not look like the industry’s strategy.

Flexibility, Faith, and “Blessed Are the Flexible”

We talked about having direction with flexibility — letting God adjust the plan as you go. Gabe quoted one of my new favorite sayings:

“Blessed are the flexible, for they will never be bent out of shape.”

She shared how often we “Abraham and Sarah” our businesses: we hear a promise, we believe God kind of, and then we rush in and try to force the outcome in our own way and on our own timeline. That story from Genesis became a mirror for business:

  • We start out trusting God.

  • We get impatient.

  • We force outcomes.

  • We create detours we were never meant to take.

The invitation: have a plan, but consult God on the plan and stay open-handed enough to let Him redirect it.

91. What to say in follow-ups to boost revenue | Sales for Small Business28 Oct 202500:08:33

If you’ve ever hesitated to follow up with a lead because you didn’t want to sound “pushy,” this episode is for you. Most small business owners lose sales not because they lack leads — but because they stop short of following up.

In this short, power-packed episode, Lindsay Fletcher breaks down: ✅ Why so many business owners avoid following up (and how fear of feeling annoying costs you money) ✅ Why phrases like “just following up,” “circling back,” and “checking in” instantly shut down conversations ✅ What to say instead to sound confident, helpful, and professional ✅ Simple follow-up messages that feel natural and build trust ✅ A quick challenge to help you turn consistency into cash flow

Whether you’re a Christian entrepreneur, service provider, or small business owner — this episode will help you reframe follow-up as service, not sales pressure.

Episode 87 of How to Grow My Small Business is a special one. Today, I’m sharing 5 powerful prayers for business owners because as Christian entrepreneurs, our faith and our work are deeply connected.

Running a small business can feel overwhelming at times. There are sales goals to hit, relationships to build, strategies to create, and endless tasks pulling at your attention. But as believers, we know that prayer is the foundation of everything we do. When we seek God’s wisdom and align our businesses with His Kingdom purpose, we can move forward with peace, confidence, and clarity.

In this episode, I’ll walk you through five Scripture-inspired prayers you can use daily or in moments when you need direction, encouragement, or fresh vision. These prayers focus on:

  • Habits and routines that draw us closer to God and closer to success in business.

  • Multiplication of resources, relationships, and Kingdom impact.

  • Christ-like relationships with customers, employees, and communities.

  • Vision and boundaries that allow us to thrive where God has planted us.

  • Obedience to God’s plan, even when it doesn’t make sense on the surface.

If you’ve ever wondered how to keep your faith at the center of your business, or you’re craving prayers that go beyond generic blessings and actually speak to the challenges of entrepreneurship, this episode will encourage you and equip you.

Learn more about She Builds Momentum, my monthly group coaching membership for women in business: https://momentum.lindsayfletcher.co

Are you already feeling the weight of Q4—holidays, kids’ activities, and running your business—all at once? You’re not alone. As small business owners, we’re often told that success only comes from hustling harder, working 24/7, and showing up on every single platform. But here’s the truth: hustle culture is a lie, and it’s costing you your peace, your joy, and sometimes even your profits.

In today’s episode of How to Grow My Small Business, I’m getting real about hustle culture, margin, and why constantly being “busy” isn’t the badge of honor we think it is. Instead of cramming 20 pounds of potatoes in a five-pound sack (yes, I’ve been guilty of that!), I want to show you how to break free from overcommitment, set boundaries, and create space to breathe in both your life and your business.

We’ll talk about:

  • The symptoms of hustle culture you might be experiencing right now (think exhaustion, snapping at loved ones, or feeling out of control).

  • The roots of busyness—fear of failure, pride, misplaced identity—and how they might be driving your decisions.

  • Biblical examples of rest and margin that model how we’re meant to live and lead, not hustle endlessly.

  • Practical ways to create space in your business, from delegating tasks like bookkeeping or social media to evaluating your calendar and cutting what doesn’t serve you.

  • How margin can fuel creativity, problem-solving, and long-term growth in your business.

If you’ve ever woken up already overwhelmed, ended your day still exhausted, or felt like you can’t keep up no matter how much you accomplish, this episode will encourage you to step off the hamster wheel and choose a better way.

It’s time to unsubscribe from hustle culture and start running your business with strategy, clarity, and margin. Let’s break up with busy—together.

84. Audit Your Time and Energy to Prepare for Q409 Sep 202500:12:28
https://momentum.lindsayfletcher.co Episode 84: Audit Your Time and Energy to Prepare for Q4

We’re heading into Q4—the final stretch of the year—and whether your business has felt smooth or messy, this is your chance to reset, refocus, and finish the year strong. But before you make a big plan, you need to know where your time and energy are really going.

In this episode of How to Grow My Small Business, I’m walking you through a practical exercise to audit your time, your energy, and your money makers so you can make better decisions about what to keep, what to delegate, and what to cut before heading into Q4.

Because here’s the truth: if you don’t know where your time is going, you can’t manage it. And if you don’t know what drains your energy, you can’t protect it. Both are essential to running a small business that doesn’t leave you exhausted and overwhelmed.

This is an episode you’ll want to grab a notebook for!

What you’ll learn in this episode:
  • How to track your time (and the surprising places it might actually be going)

  • Why energy is just as important as hours when planning your week

  • How to identify the money-making activities in your business

  • The 3 categories every task should fall into: prioritize, delegate, or cut

  • How to align your time and energy with your top Q4 priorities so you end the year strong

Quotes from the episode:
  • “If you don’t know where your time is going, you can’t manage it. And if you don’t know what drains your energy, you can’t protect it.”

  • “Not all hours are equal—some tasks energize you, others drain you. Build your calendar around energy, not just time.”

  • “When you know your money makers, you can prioritize what actually moves your business forward and stop wasting energy on the rest.”

If you’re ready to finish Q4 with focus instead of distraction, this episode will give you the clarity and tools to do it.

And if you’re a female entrepreneur who wants ongoing support, accountability, and a community of women working on the same things, check out my group coaching membership She Builds Momentum at momentum.lindsayfletcher.co.

4 Ways to Market Your Small Business Like Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift is a marketing genius. Whether you’re a fan or not, there’s no denying her ability to grab attention, connect with people, and create buzz that lasts. In this episode, I’m breaking down how her latest album launch strategy—with the New Heights podcast and Travis Kelce’s GQ cover—holds powerful lessons for your small business.

“Marketing isn’t about shouting the loudest, it’s about being intentional with where you show up, who you partner with, and how you connect your message to real people.”

Inside this episode, you’ll learn:

  • Why timing matters and how to plan your launches when your audience is already paying attention

  • How to borrow other people’s audiences through collaborations, partnerships, and local opportunities

  • Why storytelling is your most powerful tool to connect and stay memorable

  • How layered marketing (showing up in more than one place) keeps your business top of mind

  • Why talking about your product or service once isn’t enough—and what to do instead

“Your audience connects with YOUR story. Not someone else’s. People love stories and they are so much more memorable than just giving information.”

Check out my new course Sales Simplified: 7 Weeks to Selling with Confidence

------------------------- Welcome back to Grow My Business, where we talk about how to grow your business with real sales strategies (not just more social media posts). This is Episode 77, and we’re tackling a question I hear all the time: “Why isn’t my offer selling?” You’ve posted about it. You’ve talked about it. You’ve put it on your website. You might’ve even run some ads or tried a launch… And still—crickets. No sales. No traction. Just silence.

I know how frustrating that can feel. Today, I want to take the mystery out of it. More often than not, it’s not that your offer is “bad” or that no one wants it—it’s just that something small is out of alignment.

Listen for these 3 common check points to see if one of these is out of whack:

1. Are you solving a real problem?

2. Is your messaging clear and confident?

3. Are you actually sell it? (Not just marketing it.)

If you’re nodding along and thinking, “OK, this is me,”—don’t worry. This is fixable. In fact, this is exactly what I teach inside my course: Sales Simplified: 7 Weeks to Selling with Confidence Inside, I walk you through:
  • Clarifying your offer
  • Communicating it clearly
  • Learning how to talk about it (without feeling awkward)
  • And building a simple, repeatable system to sell it
