Unfriended (2014)
Épisode 231
lundi 25 août 2025 • Durée 02:13:42
Surprise! We’re moving to our new home at SiriusXM next week, and that means all episodes will now drop on BOTH main and premium feeds on the same day! To close the gap, our next episode is available to listen right now.
Listeners, we’ve officially logged on! This week we’re gazing into the blue light of our very first “screen life” movie, the type of Found Footage horror where computers are cursed and pop-ups can kill you.
Have you ever Skyped with a demon? What if there was a goblin on your Facebook wall? Does anyone still even use Gchat? These websites and more, haunted on today’s episode.
Next week, we’re adding a surprise episode to the miniseries…and going back to space! Tune in for the 2013 Sebastián Cordero found footage surveillance film, EUROPA REPORT. Join the conversation on our Discord at https://discord.com/invite/RssDc3brsx and get more Eye of the Duck on our Patreon show, After Hours https://www.patreon.com/EyeoftheDuckPod

Chronicle (2012)

lundi 25 août 2025 • Durée 01:57:29
What if an asshole got superpowers? Would he save the world? Or just prank old ladies and do sick magic tricks to impress chicks at the talent show?
This week it’s Josh Trank’s found footage superhero film where a pothead, a burnout, and an aspiring class president become invincible (and fly!) What could go wrong?
Next week we kick off our screen life era (!!) with Levan Gabriadze’s UNFRIENDED (2014). Join the conversation on our Discord at https://discord.com/invite/RssDc3brsx and get more Eye of the Duck on our Patreon show, After Hours https://www.patreon.com/EyeoftheDuckPod

The LEGO Batman Movie (2017)
Épisode 221
lundi 23 juin 2025 • Durée 02:19:00
It took 83 years, but we finally got a movie about the Dark Knight facing his ultimate villain… The Eye of Sauron? Voiced by Jemaine Clement?
This week it’s another LEGO animated spectacular, but it’s NOT a bonus, because Batman is the main character! It’s a rom-com, a musical, a father/son drama, and above all, an excuse for Warner Bros to dump all their IP into one toy box. And somehow, it actually works!!
Next week it’s the final film of our Batseries, THE BATMAN (2022). Join the conversation on our Discord at https://discord.com/invite/RssDc3brsx and get more Eye of the Duck on our Patreon show, After Hours https://www.patreon.com/EyeoftheDuckPod

The Green Knight (2021) Revisited
Épisode 133
lundi 9 octobre 2023 • Durée 02:11:21
Bonus!! It’s been 2 whole years, and we’re doing something we’ve never done before….back in 2021 we shared a rare in-person screening of David Lowery’s THE GREEN KNIGHT right in the midst of the pandemic. It was a whirlwind (the projector was out of focus for most of it). Now that we’ve given the movie a proper (and very thorough) viewing, we couldn’t resist reevaluating it for this series. Off with yer head!

Épisode 131
lundi 25 septembre 2023 • Durée 02:05:31
Somehow...George Lucas has returned! And also, our old friend, Desmond Thorne. Join us this week for a journey into the land of Ron Howard's WILLOW, where Queen Bavmorda of Nockmaar reigns, Warwick Davis delights, and babe-era Val Kilmer smolders. We're just about at the end of our series. But you can't close the book on '80s Dark Fantasy without unpacking Lucas's very own entry into the genre.

The Princess Bride (1987)
Épisode 130
lundi 18 septembre 2023 • Durée 02:03:04
Inconceivable! As we near the end of the 80s, one (kind of) dark fantasy movie stands proudly in our way...PRINCESS BRIDE! It may not be the most brooding or atmospheric of the pack, but there's simply no way we couldn't dissect this all-time genre highlight.

Highlander (1986) with Philip Gawthorne (Die Hard on a Blank)
Épisode 128
lundi 4 septembre 2023 • Durée 02:04:05
There can only be one. And he's with us this week for HIGHLANDER! It's screenwriter, playwright, and co-host of the very good Die Hard on a Blank podcast, Philip Gawthorne. From bonkers accents, to decapitations, to the exact number of smashed panes of glass, we go long on what may very well be the most insane movie of the 1980s. The quickening is upon us.
