Épisode 179
jeudi 4 août 2022 • Durée 12:38
Outsourcing can be one really effective way to scale up your voice over business. There's only so much you can do as a VOpreneur on any given day. By outsourcing tasks to a virtual assistant or even a software solution, it allows you to get more done with less of your own time invested.
So how do you decide what to outsource? That's the topic I'm exploring in this episode, giving you three different considerations for making a decision about outsourcing.

Understanding Voice Over Casting Timelines - Summer Series 2022
Épisode 177
jeudi 21 juillet 2022 • Durée 09:10
When you submit an audition on a casting site or through an agent, it's reasonable to assume it's for an active project and the voice actor will be hired "soon." Like... the next day. Maybe the next week at most. And so many VO's obsessively check their casting profiles and inboxes waiting for the email to come that says they've booked.
This is a great way to make yourself crazy, and it isn't necessarily an accurate reflection of voice over casting timelines. In this episode, I share a few thoughts that will hopefully help you relax, stress a little less and enjoy the audition process a little more.

Is Complaining Online Costing You Work - Summer Series 2022
Épisode 176
jeudi 14 juillet 2022 • Durée 08:34
The social media soapbox... a lot of voice actors take "advantage" of social media to create a platform to air their grievances. Rarely does a day go by that someone isn't complaining about rates, jobs, casting sites, auditions, agents or any other number of things.
But is complaining online the best use of social media? And your time? Or could it be that all that whining, grumbling and griping is actually costing you work while potential clients form decisions about you as a talent, actor and person?
