Ask, Tell, Demand: What Natural Horsemanship Gets Wrong07 nov. 202400:52:54

Natural Horsemanship is advertised as a kinder method rooted in working with the horse’s natural instinct and behavior, but does the process really produce calm and relaxed horses, or is it an illusion rooted in false pretenses? Jasmine dives into the concept of "Ask, Tell, Demand", a form of escalating pressure until the horse responds. Does this structure really create an understanding horse, or one who's given up fighting? Find out the truth and the following consequences in this episode!

Nothing Good Comes Easy: Gadgets, Frames, and Biomechanics | Elisa Walfish05 juin 202401:40:27

Results take effort, consistency, and patience. There are many training aids that are marketed to help your horse develop balance, muscle, coordination, and help them into a 'frame'. Jasmine sat down with equine bodyworker and biology Elisa Walfish to discuss these training aids and whether their biomechanics support what the aids claim to do. The short answer? They don't. Listen to find out why.

We've all run across a horse who was in need of "correction". This is usually in the form of punishment. But what does this mean exactly and what message is it sending to the horse? Is there a better way of doing things?

Nurse Mare Foals and Last Chance Corral27 févr. 202200:29:08

Last Chance Corral is a seemingly innocent rescue organization dedicated to saving nurse mare foals, aka "throwaway" horses. LCC calls for the use of Artificial Insemination instead of live cover in order to eliminate the need for a nurse mare to provide nutrition to a foal. LCC spreads the dangerous ideology that nurse mares only exist in the thoroughbred industry, and using A.I will eliminate them. Unfortunately, LCC is NOT giving people the whole truth about NM's, including the fact that they buy the foals. How can we actually help these foals?

The Truth About Nosebands08 févr. 202200:42:37

How tight do you apply your noseband? Why were ergonomic bridles invented? What are the intricate nerves and fragile bones being affected by this seemingly innocent piece of tack? Should nosebands be banned in competition? Find out in this exciting episode.

Defending Abuse Pt. 1 - jjlumberviking02 févr. 202200:13:31

@JJlumberviking is apparently anti bit and anti spur. I breakdown one of his now deleted videos of him repeatedly hitting his horse with a crop. His video is ironically captioned “no bit. No spurs”. Is horses skin really thicker than humans? What is wrong? What are the facts? I explain this in this short episode.
