S3 | 9. End of Year Reflection: What the Year of the Snake Asked You to Shed (and What Wants to Stay)23 Dec 202500:11:10

As we come to the end of the year, it can be tempting to rush ahead... to plan, reset, or "do things differently" without fully acknowledging what this year has already shaped within us.

In this episode, I invite you to pause.

We reflect on the energy of the Year of the Snake - a year that has asked many of us to shed old skins, release outdated patterns, and recalibrate in ways that haven't always been comfortable or visible.

Together, we explore:

  • what this year has quietly invited you to let go of
  • what foundations you've actually built (even if it didn't feel like it at the time)
  • how your horse may have been guiding you through these shifts
  • why you don't need to discard this year in order to move forward

This isn't about fixing, forcing, or rushing into the next chapter.

It's about honouring what's been integrated, being gentle with what's still unfolding, and stepping into the new year from a grounded, empowered foundation - not from burnout or self-judgement.

S3 | 8. How to Keep Progressing with Your Horse When Time, Weather & Energy Are Limited17 Dec 202500:13:11

There are seasons where you deeply care about your horse and desire to continue to develop your connection... but your time, energy, or the environment you're working in are genuinely limited.

In this episode, I talk about how to stay connected and keep progressing with your horse during these periods - without pushing, forcing, or falling into the all-or-nothing cycle that so many compassionate equestrians find themselves in.

We explore:

  • why dips in capacity are normal (for both horses and humans)

  • how progress doesn't always look like doing more

  • what actually erodes confidence and trust over time

  • and why so many people feel stuck, not because they're doing nothing - but because they haven't developed their eye to spot where the gaps are and what would be the best use of their time

This is a reflective, grounding episode designed to help you work with the season you're in, rather than fighting against it.

I also share how my Prepare Your Horse for Any Environment checklist can be used - not as a to-do list - but as a way to observe what is solid and what is missing in your foundation with your horse.

If you're navigating summer heat, winter weather, shorter sessions, low energy, or a phase where consistency feels harder to maintain, this episode will help you re-orient without losing connection.

78. Live Mindset Coaching Transformation: Danielle's Journey To Feeling Good Enough17 Aug 202201:03:03

This episode is unlike any transformation I have shared on the podcast before because you get to hear it unfold in real-time and holy moly is it cool to witness!

My lovely client and guest for today's episode is Danielle Crowell. I met Danielle a few weeks ago as she interviewed me for an episode on The Equestrian Connection Podcast by We Horse (you can find the link to that episode below).

During our conversation, she shared with me that she had some mindset blocks that held her back from doing more with her horses, so I reached out and asked if she would be interested in joining me for a podcast episode and a mindset coaching session all in one. So, that is what this episode is all about.

You'll hear about:

  • How Danielle was struggling with not feeling good enough, and she would often worry about what other people thought of what she was doing with her horses.
  • Her journey with horses and how her past had shaped these thoughts and patterns
  • How she felt directly after her 1 on 1 mindset session with me
  • How she felt 2 weeks after our 1 on 1 mindset session (this part will blow your mind)
  • What she would say to someone who was feeling stuck like she was

and so much more.

76. Navigating The Loss Of An Animal Before, During & After Their Passing With Dr Tracy Rainwaters05 Aug 202200:40:08

In this episode, Dr Tracy Rainwaters and I have a open conversation about how to navigate the loss of an animal before, during and after their passing based on our experiences so far.

For those who haven't heard Tracy on the podcast before, she is a Shaman, Animal Communicator, Animal Chiropractor, Energy Healer and just an incredible human being. I am so grateful to have had this discussion with her because the lessons she shares about animals passing is not only practical, but it is deeply healing because she approaches it from all angles. She connects with the animal before it happens (if she can), she connects with other herd members before, during and after and also shares her experience grieving the loss of an animal after losing her mare Tina only a few weeks ago.

I also share some of my experiences around losing animals in the past, and after talking with Tracy, I now have some more knowledge about how to make that experience as smooth as possible for all parties involved.

I am sure you will feel a similar way after you listen to this episode too.

68. [PART 2] What To Do When Your Horse Says No Or Shows Unwanted Behaviour's05 Jun 202200:28:22
A follow on from episode 67 where I explore some other nuances around what to do if your horse says no or shows unwanted behaviours.

I touch on

  • Sometimes you will just have a bad horse day
  • If your horse doesn't respond in a positive way it doesn't mean that you are necessarily doing the wrong thing
  • You cant expect your horse to be 100% happy all the time, learning is stressful and it's sometimes ok to encourage them through some moments if they need a helping hand to realise that they CAN do it
  • Sometimes we will have to do things with our horses that they dont like
  • How important preparation is to avoid forcing our horses through things

Then I finish with a tapping all about navigating the ups and downs with horses.

62. Alison's Journey To Finding Joy With Horses Again After Years Of Battling Chronic Illness14 Apr 202200:43:54
In this episode, I chat with Alison Curtis, who has just completed my Confident Equestrian Program (CEP) on a one on one basis.

Alison had years of experience with horses and always found it easy to spend time with them until she fell ill and battled chronic illness for five years. During the time she was ill, all she was able to do was feed her horses.

Then as she began to recover, she suddenly lost her heart horse which added to the fear she was feeling about spending more time with her horses.

About a year later, she contacted me and joined the CEP to see if she could get back her joy with her horses again.

Together we chat about all of the above plus an honest reflection of how her journey in CEP unfolded, and she found happiness with her horses again, which she never thought would be possible three months ago.

Her journey is so inspiring. I am so happy for her and so grateful for the ability to be able to guide her on this journey.
