ABOUT THE HOST

Nick James

Nick dropped out of university at the age of 21 and failed spectacularly with his first coaching business, which forced him to take a £16k/yr telesales job.

Within 12 months he was the top performer and left to start his second business at 24. This time he discovered a winning formula and before long had a multi-six-figure company.

He then made a huge mistake which nearly put him out of business and cost him £50,000 in personal cash!

Fortunately, Nick kept it afloat, turned it around, and sold that business 2 years later in a seven-figure deal.

He then co-founded a multi-million-pound marketing company, which he exited in 2015, and created Expert Empires.

Today, Expert Empires is known as the UK's number one business event for Experts, with world-renowned celebrity speakers like Gary Vaynerchuk, Grant Cardone, Chalene Johnson, David Goggins, and Lewis Howes gracing the stage.

Nick also specialises in helping Coaches, Consultants, Speakers, Trainers, and Authors take their businesses from zero to six figures and beyond through his Expert Empires Mastermind programme.

The Number 1 Most Valuable Asset in Your Business…23 Jun 202100:14:28

Nick explains that in business it’s not your team or cash in the bank it’s your database and the relationship that you build with it that is your most valuable asset.

There is a distinction between your database and your audience. You can have an audience across social media but you don’t own them and the real value is in the relationship you build with your own database.

A database is an audience you can communicate with as much as you want and Nick explains exactly how to nurture your database if you have one already and how to get started on building one if you don’t because building a relationship with your database is the key to developing your most valuable asset.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • Your database is the audience of people you have access to and can communicate with as and when you wish.
  • A social media audience is important but not as important as your own database with contact details and addresses.
  • You need to take the audience you have on social media and move it into a database
  • You have to own the data so you can communicate when you want
  • It’s about being able to build a relationship with your database
  • Consistent communication with your database is vital with the right balance of serve and sell.
  • By serving the database you are building the relationship and goodwill for when you are selling.
  • Whatever you are doing you need to do it consistently and you can up your communication gradually.
  • The sweet spot for me is 3-5 communications per week, it’s about finding the balance
  • To build a database you need to have a webpage where someone can enter their details in exchange for a free resource.
  • The best time to start building a database is now.
  • If you already have a database you need to nurture it because it’s all about your relationship with the list.

BEST MOMENTS

‘Your database is an audience that you own and have control over’

‘I had no customers, no clients no cash but what I did have was a database’

‘Over time I built a relationship with that database’

  • It’s about supporting clients in the best possible way.
  • In a well-rounded peer group you need to have mentors, people you aspire to be like, mentees because there is a duty to pass on the knowledge and expertise you have and people at the same level as you are currently.
  • We have built something that is different from other Mastermind programs.
  • It’s about having the opportunity to see what choices are available and learning to ask if that choice is serving you.

Risk Taking and Moving Past the Fear30 May 202100:55:41

Nick James talks to Paul Mort about how he began Expert Empires and why you need to focus on a strategy that plays to your strengths when you create any business

Sometimes you need to trust yourself and take the risks because it is the risk-taking that defines being able to overcome the fear and move towards success.

In this candid conversation, Nick shares why it’s important to understand what really makes you happy along with great advice on how to learn from the challenges and achieve your vision.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • My vision was to create the best of what I had seen in the US
  • I realised that high-end masterminds for those who are already earning 6-7 figures didn’t exist in the UK
  • Everything I have built has been about filling a gap in the market
  • I realised that I had a skill set that I could teach to others
  • Whatever your area you need to focus on a strategy that plays to your strengths
  • I’ve created a model that works for an audience
  • When you begin with the ultimate world-class speakers the pressure is in being able to continue at the same level.
  • I learnt that my happiness and self-worth was entirely connected to the business.
  • Having to start again removed the fear and proved to me that I could do it all again
  • It made me a bigger risk taker because I know that whatever happens, I can build again
  • Looking back can help you to see how far you have come
  • You will never achieve success if you haven’t experienced failure and overcome it.
  • Money doesn’t equal happiness and having no money doesn’t necessarily mean you will be unhappy

BEST MOMENTS

‘I’ve always been good at the marketing and promotion of events’

‘Putting on a show comes naturally to me’

‘I went from seven figures to zero the following day’

A Marketing Chat with My Head of Marketing27 May 202100:47:36

Nick and Adam discuss both what’s working well and what’s not working well in marketing campaigns currently.

The landscape for marketing is continually changing so being able to test, measure and adapt your marketing strategies to achieve the right balance is crucial.

We are subject to 1,000 – 2,000 marketing messages every day so getting your message right is the only constant and the most important aspect of any campaign. This is a great opportunity to hear about what truly successful marketing looks like and why you need to have continuity and focus in your marketing if you want to make it work

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • What works best at any time is having a plan and you need to have an individual plan for each route
  • There must be continuity in the message from start to finish
  • If you are always looking for the quick win you are always going to be searching for the next thing
  • If you put the time and effort, energy and attention into one campaign working well it can work over a longer period of time
  • Mapping a campaign can identify the part that is not working
  • There are key data points in any campaign
  • Knowing the data and the numbers is a crucial element in any campaign
  • The relationship between sales and marketing is vital in identifying any steps that are not working
  • The standard lead generation campaign no longer works as well as it has previously.
  • Leading with content is successful prior to direct marketing
  • It’s important to test to see what works
  • Either end of the spectrum is unsuccessful you need a combination of both content and direct response marketing
  • The only thing that doesn’t change is getting your message right
  • You need to adapt marketing campaigns with the changing trends and patterns

BEST MOMENTS

‘Focus in on one campaign at a time’

‘We still try and keep our focus on one thing at a time and execute it really well’

‘Too many people try to do too many things at the same time’

  • It’s not what or who you know it’s who knows you because if people don’t know who you are they can’t do business with you

How To Decide On Your NICHE05 May 202100:19:48

Those in the early stages of building their business frequently ask Nick about how you decide on a niche area and many are fearful about making a choice and getting this wrong.

The reality is it’s much easier to get started if you specialise in a niche area and market to a  specific customer avatar and Nick explains exactly how to become a specialist and shares a great checklist that will help anyone to decide on their niche area. With the great content Nick shares anyone can work out what their specialist area should be and how to market as a specialist to a specific customer avatar.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • It’s much easier if you specialise and are working in a niche area rather than trying to market to everyone
  • When you decide on a niche it doesn’t mean you have to stay with it forever it’s a way of getting started
  • Take whatever a product or service does and specialise in serving a certain group of people, decide who the product or service is for.
  • What’s the biggest pain they have that you can solve, the more aware they are of the pain the more you can help them
  • Pick a specific group of people and solve a specific pain  to get started
  • What is the measurable result you can promise
  • Focus on what they want and their problem not what you think they need or their problem is.
  • What do you care about most? who do you care most about serving?
  • Where do you have the most credibility? Either through your own personal experiences or the results of your clients
  • The more credible you are the easier it is to craft a message that resonates and attracts

BEST MOMENTS

‘It’s much easier to get attention in a niche market’

‘Niching is a marketing tactic, not a life sentence’

‘We started off super specialised and niched and it helped us to grow quickly’

  • Creating a directory for all the clients provides them with more exposure and helps them to connect more easily with each other.

Getting Very Clear & Very Loud – Building a 6 Figure Business in Lockdown with Cordelia Kate founder of The Rebellious Business Network14 Apr 202100:26:22

The Rebellious Business Network launched at the beginning of the lockdown is now a six-figure business, founder Cordelia Kate talks to Nick about how she has achieved such phenomenal growth and why you have to get very clear and then get very loud.

The Rebellious Business Network brings together coaching, collaboration, community and knowledge and helping people to stay connected with other like-minded and resourceful entrepreneurs it’s a different type of networking that can take a business to the next level and Cordelia shares some great content for any empire builder building a business.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • When the rebellious Business Network was launched it was about helping people who needed more clients or to be able to pivot online.
  • It was about bringing together, online, what people needed to market their businesses
  • I got louder in a way that was about helping people without asking for anything in return and that’s when the magic happened.
  • You’ve got to get clearer, then get louder and then you’ll get sales
  • Have a pillar event weekly that takes place inside a Facebook group
  • If it’s super accessible, free to join and happens regularly at the same time people will access it.
  • The key is having something valuable that is wrapped in the form of pillar content that will help people now.
  • Drive everyone to one place, with no barrier to access
  • When you focus purely on making money you become accidentally selfish and unable to see the power of doing things that don’t have a direct financial impact but do provide high value

BEST MOMENTS

‘You can’t be loud if you are not clear because you won’t have the confidence or make sense’

‘I’m all about organic marketing and no paid ads’

‘The intention at the start is all about them not you’

Interview with Marie Forleo - Expert Empires Global headline speaker25 Feb 202100:19:33

Marie Forleo, New York Times Best Selling Author with a fan base of millions is confirmed as headline speaker for Expert Empires Global in April and this episode shares an insight into the great content she will be sharing with everyone at Expert Empires Global.

You can be an expert in your field but to build a successful business you need to be an expert business person and Marie has great advice on why ultimately ‘Everything is Figureoutable’ and the importance of going for progress not perfect if you want to move forward and make a difference.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • You may need to find a solution that’s never been thought of before, or change your mindset but it’s about having a belief that will mean that you show up and are more powerful and optimistic.
  • When you are an expert and have information to share with others you need to know how to be an expert business person.
  • You need to be an expert communicator, expert marketer so you can inspire the people you are serving.
  • There are many different ways to build a business so you need to understand which route is the best one for you.
  • It is not your customer’s job to find you it’s your job to find your customers and understand where they are and work with them from that point
  • You need to go for progress, not perfection.
  • Experts always want to do their best but you need to focus on getting out of your own way and getting out there and then tweaking along the way.
  • You need to focus on the impact you are making, the legacy you are creating from not being perfect.

BEST MOMENTS

‘I’m a guide on the side and I’m no better than the people I work with’

‘How is building a business going to impact on your life?’

‘It’s about humbling yourself and understanding it’s about being a great communicator and marketer to build a business that can make a difference’

Alcohol and Empire Building - interview with Ruari Fairbairns (founder of OYNB)18 Feb 202100:54:27

Nick is with ‘One Year No Beer’ founder Ruari  Fairbairns talking about the movement and community he has built and his passion.

As someone who has experienced a professional life where alcohol is very much part of the culture, Ruari discusses the reality of alcohol and why many believe that alcohol is making life better when actually it’s making it worse.

The movement and platform he has created gives people the opportunity to undertake a challenge that reveals the reality of their relationship with alcohol and enables them to understand what they are really seeking in life.

Ruari is passionate about his community but is also a hugely successful entrepreneur building an empire that is providing aspiration for those involved.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • We are all in a toxic relationship with alcohol there is no safe level as it’s a poison.
  • The ‘take control’ course is for those who have taken an extended break from alcohol and want to have a structure in place moving forward.
  • Empires have been previously built on alcohol;  it is said to have greased the wheels of many deals.
  • Can you as an entrepreneur give yourself an upgrade by taking a break from alcohol? Yes, and you will gain more energy, productivity, clarity and time.
  • People use alcohol to switch off but in reality, alcohol creates anxiety.
  • You should celebrate the wins as an entrepreneur in business and in life but you don’t need alcohol to do it.
  • People want to help other people and we are creating a platform where people can help each other.
  • When we hit the power of unlocking community we will be hitting millions of users who will be empowering each other to change their relationship with alcohol.
  • The principles of change are the same whatever the addiction.
  • If we can give people a platform and the tools to work out what they need to change in their lives then we can change the world.
  • Community is free to build and when you have built a community it will have a wider impact than just those directly involved. The ripple effect is immeasurable.

BEST MOMENTS

‘I can have a drink whenever and where ever I want to, I just choose not to’

‘Creating a movement that is challenge-based is a brilliant way of marketing’

Young Entrepreneurs! My Advice re: Higher Education11 Feb 202100:12:24

Nick shares his views and experiences about whether higher education is an investment worth making if you want to be an entrepreneur.

Those teaching in higher education can be theorists with no real-life experience of business and this can make it challenging for the aspiring entrepreneur.

Nick explains the journey he made and why if you want to be an entrepreneur, working in a dynamic entrepreneurial business will mean you can learn about what is really important and what truly makes a difference in business.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • If you want to pursue a profession where a specific degree is required then studying for, and obtaining a degree is a good investment in time and money.
  • Many lecturers teaching about business are theorists, they aren’t people who have their own businesses
  • If you want to become an entrepreneur and start your own business there are better ways to spend your time and money.
  • What made the biggest difference, for me, was working for a small entrepreneurial business where I learnt about all the areas I wanted to know about
  • There is a lot of value in the non-classroom education that is part of a university education and all these things were valuable experiences
  • If you want to become an entrepreneur find a dynamic entrepreneurial small business in the area you want to be involved in and work for them.

How to Launch a #1 Podcast Book and MONESTISE it immediately!28 Jan 202100:19:54

In this episode of Empire Builders, Nick talks us though how he got his podcast to #1 on release!

Gary Vaynerchuk LIVE at Expert Empires21 Jan 202100:59:45

In this very special episode, you're going to hear from the one and only Gary Vaynerchuk in an exclusive recording taken from his Expert Empires appearance, in which Gary talks about how to grow your personal brand, as well as how to start, grow and scale a business based on your passion.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • We live in an incredible, and incredibly fast-paced world in which innovation is taking place constantly. But we should never hope to achieve success merely through short cuts. You have to put the work in.
  • It is our job to create stories for people about what our purpose is, and to have it engage with someone. We must remember that not only are we competing inside our genre, we are also competing with all other forms of content.
  • We all need an outside perspective from time to time. We can sometimes become far too enchanted by the things we create, and unable to see its flaws.
  • Nurture the art of over-listening. We have to learn to hear everything, from the good to the bad. We can learn from everything that's said, and by doing so, ensure that we gain mastery over client retention.

BEST MOMENTS

'The world is an incredible place. We're so lucky to be alive!'

'If you don't provide real, actual value to people in exchange for the money you ask for in exchange, you will lose over time'

'You'll get more value if you over-provide'

'One way to get the next client is to never last the last client fail'

Finance Fundamentals14 Jan 202100:21:40

Nick discusses the vital tool that any business needs when it starts and if it is to continue growing successfully- a cash flow forecast.

Any information from an accountant is retrospective but a cash flow forecast is forward-looking.

When you can take your revenue target and create a plan that means you know what you need to sell you are able to make better decisions and Nick explains exactly how to do it and shares the expert empires cashflow template in this episode with great content.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • The cash flow forecast is a vital element in any business
  • It allows you to see the cash position week on week.
  • The more the fixed costs increase the higher the minimum cash flow required in the business.
  • A cash flow forecast is forward-looking.
  • Combine your vision with the financial results you want for the year to create a revenue target for the year.
  • The overall revenue target can then be broken down into months  and combined with the number of products and services that need to be sold to achieve the target revenue
  • A plan shows what you are going to sell, when you are going to sell it and how many sales are needed to meet the targets set
  • When you are a smaller business and more agile managing cash flow week to week works best.

BEST MOMENTS

‘The most valuable tool for me is having a short to midterm cash flow forecast’

‘It means you can make better decisions and sleep at night’

‘I was able to make better decisions because I had a plan’

How to Become a World-Class Speaker03 Dec 202001:15:43

Public speaking and the ability to write words that convey a message and mean that people take action are the key foundations for good business and Nick delivers a Masterclass on what makes the difference between an average public speaker and a world-class public speaker.

It’s important to recognise that public speaking isn’t just standing in front of an audience it’s about getting your message across effectively in a form that people hear and respond to, taking action.

How you perform and deliver are dependent on your preparation, how you capture the imagination of others and the ways in which you connect with the audience and in this in-depth and unmissable episode, Nick shares great content on how to achieve this.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • You can use stories as a speaker to capture the imagination and help people to understand the philosophy you are teaching.
  • Every speaker should have an expert positioning story, the story that enables your audience to connect with you and builds your position of authority.
  • The art and skill are in weaving the expert positioning story into the context so it has value for the audience.
  • Having a framework or system that is yours makes it much easier to deliver and follow.
  • It raises your profile because it demonstrates a greater depth of understanding.
  • It builds credibility because it helps others talk about it when you are not there.
  • You should always be thinking about what the next step is that you want people to take.
  • How are you going to serve? - Signpost throughout the presentation the next step.
  • The majority of your presentation should be serve, seed, serve, seed. The close is always the action to be taken and is at the end of the training.
  • When you are communicating with an audience everything should be deliberate – how you stand, the movement you make, the gestures you use.

BEST MOMENTS

‘Once you have a framework everything else sits beneath it’

‘Public speaking is a ‘one to many’ way of pitching’

Story of How I Built Quest Nutrition and Impact Theory – Tom Bilyeu26 Nov 202001:08:09

In this powerful and inspiring episode, Tom Bilyeu shares why it doesn’t matter who you are today it’s ultimately about who you want to be and the price you are willing to pay that matters.

If you want to be in control of your life then there is a path from where you are today to where you want to be tomorrow and you can cross the chasm if you have the right mindset and are prepared to put in the time and energy.

This is an episode that will inspire because it’s about being changing your brain to believing you can and then making it happen whoever you are and whatever others believe about you.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • Radically changing your mindset will alter your behaviour, change the things you do, change the way you learn and the path you go down achieving the things others can’t do.
  • You acquire a skill because you want to be able to do something.
  • Whatever you want to do you can acquire the skill needed but you have to be prepared to pay an extraordinary price.
  • Being a hopelessly average human being means you are the ultimate adaptation machine and your life will be a series of tests to find out much resolve you have to get great.
  • We have an evolutionary strategy that is about being the ultimate adaptation and learning machine.
  • If you want to be an entrepreneur your job is changing your brain to believing you can do it
  • The only belief that matters is that you can get better and if you put the time and energy into it you will get better.
  • You can get good enough that your destiny is in your control and you need to believe in what you are fighting for.
  • We wanted to build a company with value, passion and solve problems that others said were unsolvable.
  • We had a blinding belief that we could learn anything and fulfil our vision.
  • If you don’t have the right mindset and beliefs, values and identity in place you will never escape because you don’t have the belief that matters that you can get better.
  • It doesn’t matter who you are today what matters is who you want to become and the price you are willing to pay.
  • No matter what people think about you, no matter how many people have doubted you it is your path to walk. It isn’t going to be easy but eventually, you will get so good you can’t be ignored.

BEST MOMENTS

‘My mission in life is to get people to understand that skills have utility’

‘It doesn’t matter what people think about you if you can outperform them you can win’

‘Whatever life you imagine for yourself, allow yourself to believe that you can walk that path and cross that chasm’

Pricing - How to Find the ‘Sweet Spot’ for Your Products and Services19 Nov 202000:25:27

Getting your pricing strategy right is vital because if you don’t your business may not be viable.

There will always be someone who is the cheapest and someone who is the most expensive but finding ways to add value to your product or service, making it infinitely more valuable than your competition is the key to always being competitive in your market place.

Nick explains how he has developed his pricing strategy and why it works in this podcast which is an invaluable listen for anyone in business.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • Finding the right pricing strategy for your product or service is critical.
  • Decisions on pricing should be taken prior to any marketing.
  • You can make a decision to dominate the market based on being the cheapest and attract many customers or decide to dominate by being the most expensive.
  • If your only advantage is price then you are vulnerable to being undercut by someone else.
  • If your product is infinitely more valuable than your competition you will always be competitive.
  • The perception is that more expensive means higher quality, it will be a better product or service more likely to get the result or outcome you are looking for.
  • In the expert arena, people pay a premium for a higher degree of certainty about achieving the result.
  • Find a way to differentiate what you are doing by offering more value.
  • Sell a program or package, price your products and services just outside your comfort zone and raise them incrementally.

BEST MOMENTS

‘My approach is based on the premium-priced model’

‘There will always be someone who is the cheapest and someone who is the most expensive’

‘Find ways to make your product or service more valuable and go premium’

If you are an expert and your business is built on that expertise then this is highly relevant for you.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

There are 3 phases to building a business;

  • Phase 1, getting to your first 50k -  it’s what it takes to have a consistent income and secure your first customers.
  • Phase 2,  getting to 6 figures - this is about having the strategies and tactics to grow to the 6 figure level with multiple products.
  • Phase 3, getting to 7 figures – effective scalability with the creation of an effective team and the right systems and processes to accelerate your business.
  • In the first phase establishing yourself as a specialist is the quickest way to grow your profile.
  • Networking is the quickest and simplest way to get your message out there and build your contacts.
  • When you move to 7 figures you will need to use a mass marketing approach.
  • In phase 1 have one product or service, it’s easier to sell and will get you started fast.
  • In phase 2, have an entry-level product along with a mid-price program and then a premium program.
  • A strategy is doing the right thing at the right time. Which strategy should you implement right now?
  • People often lack a connection between their vision and their day to day activities
  • You should have a vision but plan one month at a time in phase one, as you move to phase 2 and 3 you will need to plan further in advance.
  • It’s about using the appropriate strategy for the phase of growth you are in

BEST MOMENTS

‘People often start with the 7 figure strategies or they don’t change the strategy as they begin to scale’

‘How can you make a good day a ten out of ten and a bad day an eight out of ten?’

Great copy changes everything and Nick discusses the importance of copy in driving all marketing and how to write great copy that reflects you and your personality in this content-packed episode.

The ability to write good copy is a key element for any empire builder and Nick shares his passion and expertise in copywriting with a set of clear steps that can be followed to achieve copy that will not only reflect you but effectively cause the reader to take action.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • Do your research and create a swipe file – this should contain inspirational copy from others and as you move forward your own copy.
  • Get yourself in a state of creativity – you have to be in a position to focus. It can be helpful to think about the state of the reader.

  • Edit, rewrite and improve  - when you return to the copy you are able to view it with fresh eyes meaning improvements and edits are visible.
  • Read it out loud – when you are hearing the words you are able to hear whether it flows and where a better word could be used.
  • The key is to have it sound like you so your personality comes across and it’s your voice that’s heard through the copy.

BEST MOMENTS

‘Great copy changes everything’

‘Good is good enough it’s better to get it out than obsess over it being perfect’

‘You will be able to write far better copy that flows and reflects your natural self if you read it out loud’

How to spark creativity and build a business doing what you love with Garey Hull14 May 202300:29:20

Nick is BACK with another podcast featuring the founder of Hull and Sons Garey Hull. Talking all about how Garey's bespoke hat-making business was built, what creativity means to him, the importance of structure and the environment being considered for creative success.

KEY TAKEAWAYS:

The environment should always be considered for creative success. You can get excited about the client potential for a product and see how much they can benefit from it way more than they can. You need space to be creative, so in order to be creative you need to include that space in your structure for your business.

BEST MOMENTS:

'You can see the client potential and result for them way more than them'

'It's not always about being a perfectionist and aspiring to be others, you become more creative by being more original'

'Good is good enough, meaning that you should always start somewhere'

How I’ve Built an Empire Helping Married Businessmen Get Their Sh#t Together! -Interview with Paul Mort30 Sep 202000:31:29

Nick is with Paul Mort who has effectively used the power of the extreme to build a successful empire in an arena that is always overcrowded.

Paul shares his ethos and approach to being 100% himself, doing something he loves and how he built it into a successful empire.

The power of extreme attracts other people and everybody has something that they are good at, something they love doing but to move up to the next level, that higher level where you are into 7 figures plus, you have to get real with business and understand what you are good at so that you can build an effective team to do the things you don’t want to do and don’t excel at.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • People start their own businesses because they want freedom but often they create a different way of locking themselves in.
  • My offer is to help businessmen ‘get their sh#t together’ it leaves it open for them to fill in the gaps about what they want help with.
  • In an arena that is overcrowded, you have to be extreme to make any impact, the power of extreme attracts other people.
  • You need a long term strategy, a plan, a cash flow forecast and a higher-end program.
  • To get to the higher level, multi 7 figures, it’s about strategic planning, systems, processes and getting the right people in place.
  • Being self-aware about your strengths and acknowledging what you don’t want to do means you can build a team who compliment your skills.
  • People get stuck building an empire because what gets them started won’t get them to scale.
  • If you are stuck the key is being self-aware and understanding what is needed.
  • Focus on your target market and be relentless in your marketing.
  • If you are an expert then you are your business and that’s what you need to market.
  • A relentless commitment to marketing isn’t difficult when you are sharing about yourself, people are buying into you and being 100% you is extreme

BEST MOMENTS

It’s more of a failure to keep doing something you don’t like’

‘I’m working with 50 women right now’

‘I realised a long time ago that not everyone is going to like me but I also consider that everybody loves me and they just don’t realise it yet’

Nick is with Suzy Ashworth, a quantum transformation and embodiment coach who works with female entrepreneurs using an approach that fuses practical action and strategic steps with deep transformation.

As the world moves forward in a very different way people want to make it a better place and are ready to understand it’s not just about them it’s about the impact you can have on humanity if you show up. Suzy helps to make the intangible tangible through her work and explains how her mindset has been key in the building of her hugely successful business in this absorbing episode.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • When you are in an established market with big players taking what is already there and packaging it in a new and exciting way will get people interested.
  • People can find selling hard and it’s because they are selling to people who don’t want to buy.
  • When the world stopped, people had to think really carefully about who they are, how they want to show up in the world and how they want to serve.
  • The best strategy in the world will fail if you don’t have the mindset to support it.
  • It’s not just about you, your family or the immediate impact it’s about the ripple effect of how you show up can have on humanity.
  • In a world that is a mess, you need people who are tuned in to making a difference.
  • It’s not really about the product or program it’s about people buying into you.
  • It doesn’t matter what you call yourself it matters who you are calling in – you need to be specific about your audience, the problems you people help solve and allowing people to fill in the gaps.
  • People enrol in my mission and vision to make this world a better place. They enrol in my framework.
  • The intangible can be made more tangible by putting it into a framework.

BEST MOMENTS

‘Faith plus action equals miracles so just get out there and do the damn thing’

‘I believe that now more than ever now people need something different’

‘You can’t receive anything you are not mentally prepared to hold’
