The inspiration is drawn from the story of Eyvindur and Halla.  They were notorious Icelandic outlaws in the 18th century, whose exploits have become legendary! From being cursed by a witch to fleeing from the harsh conditions of servitude, Eyvindur and Halla took to a life of crime, engaging in daring heists and evading capture in the remote Icelandic wilderness.

Their story is a captivating blend of rebellion, survival, a quest for freedom, and leaving an indelible mark on Icelandic folklore!
