According to statistics by www.samhsa.gov, as of May 2023, an astounding 21 percent of African Americans reported having mental illness. Where do we feel most mental health issues reside: northern states, southern states or more so on the east or west coast? Have we become desensitized to symptoms or mental illness, that we are turning a blind eye to those who truly need help and resources? What is your take on the mental health issue among African Americans? Have you gone through issues? If so, how did you overcome?
